An Update Of Sorts - Aunty time!

Hi, my little flowers!

How are you all coping in this heat?
Personally, I seem to be stuggling a little. I'm usually such a lover, but right now I am sitting in front of my new found friend, Holmes.

Yup, this dude has his butt firmly placed on my desk.

If you read WFF on a regular basis, you may have realised that I've been a little off with posting recently, and I just want to say a huge sorry for that. I've been incredibly lazy and life things have been taking priority atm.

A couple of weeks ago Liam began working half of his week in the 'other' offices. These offices being three hours away, which also means that he stays in a B&B and doesn't actually come home after his shift.  This means that I'm spending more time with my own company more than I'd like. But, that's what you have to do for a better life, hey. It's taking me longer than I thought it would to get used to, and I kind of just go into my own bubble.

In other news, it was our four year anniversary yesterday and we spent the afternoon down by the river having a picnic in the sun. After everything we've dealt with in the past four years, I'm happy that we've made it this far, and I really look forward to the next four. Hopefully at some point we can actually save up enough moneys to get married.

Today, I'm going to become an aunty for the third time. My little brothers other half is currently in full blown labour and I cannot say I'm envious in this heat. Although in reality I'm insanely jealous and can't wait for it to be my turn. It seems it's down to Liam and I to give my mum her first grandson. Girlies just seem to run in our family and Kaitlyn will be a welcomed addition.

I shall leave you here with a promise of more regular posts (again). But this time I am really going to make the effort to bring back the blogging mojo.

Happy Sunday, sweets!

#FridayFitness

Hey beauts!

I have been dying to write this post all week.
After what seems like forever at staying the same weight, I am pleased to say that the number on the scales is finally going down.

On Monday I started drinking a different brand of shakes. I generally have 2 a day, a meal in the evening and some light snacks throughout the day. Evenings are the hardest and I tend to find myself more hungry and craving bad stuff in the later hours. But, luckily I am getting better at the whole will power thing.

Exercise wise I have been on my stationary bike for an hour a day, with a rest day yesterday. I have cycled a total of 31 miles so far this week and I plan on getting another ten done today once I've finished with all of my housey duties.

So, on to the important bit. I haven't had time to measure as of yet, I'm going to get Liam to help me this evening as it gets a little fiddly.

This weeks stats...
Weight - 229.8 lbs -4.6lbs
Upper arms (r) -  cm  (l)- cm
Thighs (r) -  cm  (l)-cm
Bust - cm
Waist -cm
Hips - cm

I shall update the rest as soon as I have the figures. Generally I don't feel like I have lost much in way of cm but I so happy with the nearly 5lbs off!

How are you all getting on?

Hey beauties!

Yes, I finally have my mojo back. Since the move I've really struggled to find a new routine, but I am determined to make this work.

I'm focussing this week on blog posts and videos, so if you have any requests or suggestions for either, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Make-up wise, I've really started to enjoying playing around with different styles and colours again. Even though I'm not doing much today, and probably not even leaving the house, I really wanted a use a pop of colour and this bright blue is just perfect! No doubt it will be dripping off of my face within the next couple of hours, it seems we are actually having some sort of Summer?! But if I'm honest, I'd trade a face of make-up for some hot, sunny days anyday.

Hi beauties,

Now I don't know about you guys, but I for sure am loving the festival trend that's floating about. What with moving house and other things that just drain money away, I haven't attended any festivals this year. But, that's not to say that I can't enjoy the fashion that goes along with it.

I don't usually shop on ASOS. I can never really find anything that grabs my eye and makes me want it, until now. I officially want the majority of the site. Making this wishlist post was pretty difficult and I could have added so much more.

The cuts, the prints, the overall relaxed feel of everything above. I want it all! I'm only hoping that it'll still be available when I have some real pennies to spend and I can finally revamp my wardrobe. I've never actually managed to do it. I buy one or two things and still I'm living in tatty, boring clothes.

With the new hair, I want a new look. I need to find my 'fun', 'different' Sam again.
The above thirteen items together would set me back £210.50. Not bad if I do say so myself. I just need to start saving!

Hello beauties,

Before the big house move, I was contacted by Chris from Bagable, an awesome online store with a huge array of handbags, purses, luggage cases and accessories.
He offered me a bag of my choice to review, and after a rather long time trying to choose, I picked this beautiful bucket bag from JUNO.

DSC_0141

I loved the laid back style of this bag. This is what initially drew me to it.
I've always been a fan of bags on the larger side, as I admit; I do carry more than I should.

The Salvador is a great size, with an internal pocket for your mobile, a slip pocket and a zip up compartment on the inside. The main compartment is kept secure with another well functioning zip.
The bag itself is made to the highest standard. The stitching is top notch and the material is hard wearing. I may have only had this a week, but I can already tell that this bag is going to live a very long life.

DSC_0144

The Salvador has a very sophisticated, but casual look.
It boasts an awesome tassel, which can be unclipped and removed if that is what you prefer. It also has some great silver hardware, including the buckles, studs and solid bottom corners, meaning this bag will stand upright even when not in use.

DSC_0140DSC_0145

The Juno Salvador is available in both the Moco colour, as seen here, and black.
I felt this shade was more suited to the Summer months and very much like it in comparison to other tan colours seen in shops at the moment.

I'm absolutely in love with this bag, with everything from the colour to the size. The only tiny little qualm I have is that the strap isn't as long as I would have liked, but that really is just down to personal preference.

Bagable is a fantastic website if you are looking for something new. They have a multitude of brands and styles to choose from, and the quality is fantastic.
I had never heard of the company before, but I will now make it my first stop when looking for a new handbag.

If you fancy checking out the Salavdor, you can do so HERE. It sells for £40.50, which I think is fab for such a high quality piece.
If it isn't really your style, then make sure to check out the rest of the huge handbag selection HERE, or just head on over to Bagable.co.uk.

Had you heard of Bagable before now?

A little while back, I was lucky enough to be invited to an event for the skincare brand Crystal Clear. Unfortunately, due to snow, I was unable to make the event. But, the lovely PR Claire was nice enough to send me over a few products to try out.

Let me just start of by saying that I'm in love with the packaging. I adore the simple, classy white and chrome. The cleanser and Protect and repair are in a plastic bottle, whereas the Intense anti-ageing serum is in a solid, ceramic(?) bottle.

I have given these products a few weeks to really put them to test and they've had no negative effects on my skin.

Deep Cleanse Gel*
The Deep cleanse gel is a soap free formula that's suitable for every skin type. It lightly exfoliates, while dissolving excess grease and removing even the toughest of make-up.
I use the cleanser both morning and night, to deep cleanse my skin. The smallest amount of this gel goes a very long way. To use, you only need one pump, lather in wet hands and apply on the skin.  As a general rule, I avoid using this on my eyes.
Unlike other cleansers I have used before, this one leaves my skin feeling clean but not tight. In fact, my skin feels smooth and soft.
This product sells for £27.00 for 200ml. Link

Repair And Protect*
The repair and protect is a sun lovers dream.
This sunscreen has a whopping SPF40/UVB20. It contains active anti ageing ingredients and absorbs UV rays to help minimise sun damage.
As well as this, it is also a fantastic moisturiser that reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
I have been using this applied before my walks, also after cleansing first thing in the morning. Because this is a super smooth formula, I have found this makes a great base for make-up. I usually apply, let it sink into the skin to about five minutes, then continue applying my make-up for the day.
This product sells for £43.00 for 125ml. Link

Intense Anti-Ageing Serum*
I am not kidding when I say that this product has completely changed my skin.
This super intense moisturiser is a life saver for anyone like me who has to deal with horrid dry patches.
The formula contains proven active peptides and oxygen complex, which helps to repair and restore dry, ageing skin.
The ingredient, Sy-Nake mimics the peptides found in the venom of the Temple Viper, this peptide actively smooths skin and wrinkles in a short period of time, making this a fantastic anti-ageing product.
I've been using this serum after cleansing in the evening. I apply all over my face in an upward motion, while focusing on my problem areas. My dry patches are usually in my T-zone and I also have frown lines. ( I like to call them smile lines, because they only appear when I smile.)
Since using this serum, my skin has been so clear! The dry patches are pretty much gone, and my 'smile lines' aren't as noticeable. I've also noticed a difference in the 'bags' under my eyes. I look a lot less tired and they feel much more plump and healthy looking. I never thought they were much of a problem, but now I have seen a change, I hope they never come back.
I wouldn't normally spend so much on skin care, but I would seriously consider re-purchasing this, just on the fact that it has changed my skin so much. I now find my make-up applies easier, I wake up with healthy looking skin, rather than looking grey and deathly, and as much as I am only 23, I love the anti-ageing properties.
This product sells for £60 for 50ml. Link

Because of these products, I feel I've finally found a routine that works for my skin. I'm always pretty sceptical with trying new things, but I'm so glad I got to try this.
If you have dry skin, I really recommend you try a couple of these items. If you don't, Crystal clear will definitely have something for you.

Hey my beauties!

I finally have my house back to myself! My poor sister and niece had gotten stranded at ours for an extra day and didn't end up leaving until yesterday. She sent me a couple of photos of the roads she encountered on the way home, and all I can say is, thank goodness I wasn't driving.

It was so lovely to see both of them and you can see a few snippits of what we got up to, plus my birthday antics in my newest vlog below.

I'm hoping to get back to my good blog & youtube routine within the next couple of weeks. It's Liams birthday tomorrow so I have another week of travelling to go see his family. Obviously when life happens, blogging comes second, and believe me when I say I miss it.
So far today, I have edited two videos, written this post, made a surprise for tomorrow and I'm currently willing Youtube to upload quicker. Because of this, my make-up today is really simple.

I hope you are all well! I shall be back properly very soon!! Promise!

Nails L-R 1//2//3//4

Hey beauties,

This post was meant to go live yesterday, but I'm guessing blogger didn't like me so it's going up today instead. (It's not quite a Wednesday wishlist now.)

After my little shopping trip at the weekend, I've found myself with the shopping bug. I'm trying ever so hard not to spend any more money until next month, but these are just a few of the things I'm wishing I had picked up already.

I'm finding myself a little addicted to nail polish at the moment. Barry M is my all time favourite, so that is usually the first place I head to. The new Gelly and texture polishes are a definite must for this summer.

Other than nails, you already know how much of a lips freak I am. I'm always adding to my lips wishlist, and these are just a few that I've been wanting this week. I'm loving the new purple Topshop lipstick and the MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2. So perfect for Summer.

What are you lusting over at the moment?

Hey beauties,

I know it's getting late, I've had a bit of an odd day if I'm honest, but I still wanted to share this.
I really wanted to bring back a regular post I used to do way back when I started this blog. Each monday I will share the make-up look I have chosen to wear. Even on the Mondays I choose to wear nothing. It's kind of a weekly FOTD, except you'll know to always expect it on a Monday.

Today I didn't wear anything too heavy. I spent a lot of the day tidying the upstairs of my house and doing some filming. (Go check out my Youtube channel, I posted a new vid about an hour ago!) But, that being said, I really like this simple look.

I hope you all had a fabulous Monday.

A competitor for Benefit's They're Real? Maybe!

If you read my recent post about the Benefit event that I attended on Saturday evening, you will already know that I left, craving to buy They're Real. I hadn't tried it until that night and I fell in love.
The only thing that was putting me off, was the price tag.

February and March seem to be my most expensive months, with a ton of family and friends birthdays, so I was on the look out for something a little cheaper.
I had seen adverts for this new mascara from Maybelline for a couple of weeks, and I even had to stop myself from buying a few days back. But, luckily I have a very nice mummy and she knew how much of a pants weekend I'd had, so she sent me my birthday money early so I could treat myself.

I picked up the non waterproof version of this mascara in Black. I tend to cry a lot (yup, I'm an over emotional goose,) meaning waterproof or not, my eyes always run.

I have been totally blown away by this product. The photos you see below are the result of only one coat of mascara, with no curling prior to application!
It is incredible!
The plastic brush has what I can only describe as tiny 'brissles' in comparison to what I'm used to. I feel that it still picks up plenty of product and distributes it evenly, whilst curling your lashes and giving you tons of volume.

I found it stayed well on my lashes and was easy to remove when it came to the end of the day.

Pictures27

I may have only used this a couple of times so far, but I think I can already say that this is going to be a favourite for the month of February.

You can currently purchase the new Rocket Volum' Mascara from Boots for only £5.99.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a that Sophia With Love was looking for bloggers to review.
As a big fan of Sophia as a blogger, I thought I'd reply and a couple of days ago I received a cute little goody bag containing some of their best sellers.

The item that caught my eye immediately was the dupe for the YSL arty ring. I have seen a ton of these floating about, but I've never gotten around to actually ordering one.
All I can say now, is that I definitely want more.
As a lover of big, fancy, eye catching rings, I also fell in love with the blue rose ring that I had received.

The bracelet is simple and cute, it would make a great addition to any wrist. Mine is now currently sitting in between the bracelets I received at Christmas, and it fits perfectly.

The earrings aren't something I would usually have chosen for myself, but I have to admit, since they fell through my door, they have been feature on my ears.
I usually have issues with earrings that are a little more elaborate, but as these lie quite flat, they're really comfortable to wear.

I'd definitely like to order from Sophia With Love in the future. The prices are incredibly low and the pieces are all beautiful.
I think any of the pieces would make great gifts for any jewellery loving girly.

I really recommend you guys go over to the website to have a mooch.
You could even follow them on twitter @Sophiawithlove1 or over on Facebook

Make sure to let me know in the comments if any of you order anything!

lauren conrad-001
Hi beauties,
welcome to my newest feature, style inspiration.

Yesterday, I decided that I spend so much time lusting over the wardrobes of the well known, that I may as well do something with all of those wasted hours tumblr-ing and staring at WeHeartIt. I tried Pinterest too, but I just didn't get the hype.

For my first Style Inspiration post, I wanted to feature my ultimate style icon, Lauren Conrad.

Ever since the days of Laguna beach, I've loved LC's fashion sense. I love that we were lucky enough to watch her grow, both in life and in fashion. I think she wears the simple and classic trends beautifully. Her outfits always look effortless, but so well put together.

I am taking a leaf out of a friends book and hopefully starting something new within the next week or so. Something of which you will see a post on.
For this, I will be using LC's wardrobe as inspiration. Taking parts that I love and mixing them in with my own sense of style.

I'd love to hear who your style icons are, leave me a comment below and you may just see them pop up in this feature in the future.

A couple of weeks ago I went into my local Factory outlet store.
You guys already know that I sometimes find great bargains in the little make-up section, and this time was one of those moments.

I picked up the L'oreal Infallible in Time resist white.
I had been tempted to pick a couple of these up when they first appeared in stores, but I'm glad I had waited.

The product itself is a pressed pigment, meaning the colour pay off is amazing! The formulation is smooth and creamy and glides onto the eyelid with little effort.
In the packaging, the colour does look a little 'golden' but I can assure you that it is white as white can get. The shadow is a pearl/satin finish, so if you aren't a fan of anything super glittery, then this may be for you.

When it comes to wear, this product lasts well on my eyelids throughout day, but if you do have troublesome lids, I recommend you maybe apply some kind of primer first, as I found creasing can happen.

The packaging is simple and sturdy, with a screw on lid to keep your product safe.

I purchased mine for only £2, but if you can't find it at your local factory outlet store, you can pick it up for £6.99 at Boots.

beautywishlist

It's been a little while since I last did a wishlist post, and seeing as I have made a few pennies today, I figured, why not do one.

Believe me, these pennies are burning a lovely big hole in my pocket, but due to my car tax being due next month, these items will just have to stay on my wishlist a little longer.

La Roche-Posay Micellar Solution - I recently saw Rachel 'Notes from my closet' talk about this product in a recent video, and I have to admit, she completely sold it to me. I'm coming to the end of my trusty cleanser and I think it may be time to try something new. I've heard so many good things about La roche-posay products recently, that now I just can't stop browsing online.

Botanics Face Brush - Another blogger/youtuber is the reason I now want this. Zoe (Zoella) recently showed in a haul that she had bought this. I've always been one to use a face cloth when removing my make up in the evening, but recently I've been craving for a clarisonic, or something of that sort. I just can't talk myself into spending that kind of money on something I wash my face with. So this is a great alternative. Yes it's manual and you have to do some of the work, but it pretty much works the same way.

Barry M Gelly Polishes - If you know me, then you will know that I love my Barry M nail polishes. So far, I only have one colour from the Gelly range, and I really think it's time to start adding some more Spring/Summery colours to my collection. (Getting too ahead of myself?) At the moment I'm lusting after Grapefruit, Pickly Pear and Blueberry. (L-R)

Kate Moss Lipsticks - Another range that I'm currently obsessed with, is the Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks. I currently have four other colours and as with the nail polishes, I'm dying to pick up a few more shades. Right now, I'm wanting matte shade Beige and also shade 20.

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoos - The last product I'd like to expand my collection of is the best (in my opinion) eyeshadow bases/cream eyeshadows of last year. Permanent Taupe is one of those shades that everyone talks about, I just haven't come across it in a store yet. Endless Purple is just a gorgeous colour and I think it would be perfect for the Summer.

As much as I love all of the snow that we're having at the moment, I think I'm over the Winter trends, make -up wise. I'm definitely ready for some bright girly colours and clear skin.

What are you lusting over at the moment?

Hey, lovelies!

A little while back I spent the afternoon shooting some outfit photos. I kept a few of the back for a rainy day, but then proceeded to change my hair, and I simply forgot all about them.
Whilst flicking through my photo folders last night, I came across them and figured I would post them today before I forget about them again.

Pictures8Hat - Primark
Cross Top - George @ Asda (DIY)
Jacket - Charity Shop
Disco Pants - Glamorous
Boots - Ebay

Untitled3
Scarf - ??
Tank top - Primark
Jacket - Unwritten Hollywood
Disco Pants - Glamorous
Shoes - New Look

It's really weird seeing me wearing those shoes. They're now dead and gone, all chewed up by Mr.Bug. Problem is, now I don't own one single pair of pumps. Hurry Christmas, I need to do shopping for myself! Haha.

I'd totally planned on filming a couple of beauty videos today, but I seem to have had an allergic reaction to something and my skin is as dry as a desert.

Can you believe it's the 11th already?
Make sure you don't miss VLOGMAS over on my youtube channel.
