Wednesday Wishlist
barrym | beauty | blogger | cosmetics | gelly | lime crime | mac | makeup | nars | obessive compulsive | occ | wednesday wishlist | whenflowersfall
Lime Crime - Contessa Florencent, Chinchilla & Poisonberry // OCC lip tar - Digitalis & Grandma
MAC Temperature Rising Pro Longwear Bronzing Powder // NARS Laguna
Viva Glam Nicki 2 Lipstick // Barry M Gelly Polish - Papaya & Key Lime
Barry M Sequin Polish - Pink // Barry M Texture Polish - Atlantic Road
Just a few items I'm lusting over at the minute.
I'm always wanting to add to my Barry M nail paint collection, so there's just a few shades above that I don't already have.
I'm also going a little mad for lip products at the moment, and I haven't yet been lucky enough to get my hands on any OCC or Lime Crime lovelies. Also, something that as a beauty blogger, I feel ashamed to say, is that I don't actually own any MAC or NARS products!! Shock horror!
I've never really felt the urge, but recently I just want it all.
I guess, luckily I have no money to buy any of these things, but that isn't something new. Maybe I should called these Wednesday posts 'stuff I want, but cannot afford. Ever.'
Forever wishing I could find a job that would work for me and my anxiety.

Hey beauties,
This post was meant to go live yesterday, but I'm guessing blogger didn't like me so it's going up today instead. (It's not quite a Wednesday wishlist now.)
After my little shopping trip at the weekend, I've found myself with the shopping bug. I'm trying ever so hard not to spend any more money until next month, but these are just a few of the things I'm wishing I had picked up already.
I'm finding myself a little addicted to nail polish at the moment. Barry M is my all time favourite, so that is usually the first place I head to. The new Gelly and texture polishes are a definite must for this summer.
Other than nails, you already know how much of a lips freak I am. I'm always adding to my lips wishlist, and these are just a few that I've been wanting this week. I'm loving the new purple Topshop lipstick and the MAC Viva Glam Nicki 2. So perfect for Summer.
What are you lusting over at the moment?

Good morning, my lovelies.
One of my resolutions for 2013 is to keep on top of cleaning my make-up brushes. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who finds it a real chore and I tend to put it off all the time!
As I'm trying to get into the routine of cleaning them at least once a week, I figured why not share how I clean them with you.
I usually use a cleanser to clean my brushes. But, depending on the product on the brush, sometimes I find using a clarifying shampoo with help to get the brushes super duper clean.
First I wet the brush I intend to clean, making sure than the water is running down towards the end of the brush, rather than into the ferrule.
I then usually pump my cleaning product into my hand...
...and swirl the brush in my palm to ensure all of the make-up is removed.
Rinsing out the cleaning product is the next step. Again, limiting the amount of water that can get into the ferrule of the brush. Any water that does get into the ferrule can shorten the life of your brush.
Drying off the brush is what I think is one of the most important steps. I usually do this on a dry, clean flannel. Doing this will shorten drying time and help limit water that could get into the ferrule.
My last step is laying all of my clean brushes onto a towel, over an edge. This means the brushes will hold their shape as they dry and you won't end up with brushes that are flat on one side.
Please note, my 'MAC' brushes are in fact a cheap set off of ebay. I bought them under no impressions that they were real MAC. I feel terrible for those who think that they are, because the quality is shocking compared to the real deal. Please be aware of ebay fakes.

I recently went on the hunt for the little babies on my trip to Leeds the other day.
Apart from a couple of beat up squished ones, these were the only three left in the Superdrug that had them.
Luckily, these are three of the colours I would have picked up anyway. I'd still like to get my paws on the taupe and the purple.
Since purchasing these, I have used them as an all over lid colour and an eye liner. Just like the name suggest, they have incredible staying power and I can only say the gold colour creased very very slightly once I had worn it all day in very warm weather. Other than that, they barely budge!
Even though these colours have amazing pigmentation themselves, they would also make great bases for any powder eye shadows, very much like the MAC paint pots.
I purchased my Color Tattoos for £4.99 each in Superdrug and at the time they were on a 3 for 2 offer, which was a bonus.

MAC Naked Paris Lipstick

Hi Lovelies!
I thought I'd share with you one of my favourite lipsticks.
This is MACs Naked Paris. The lustre lipstick looks so dark in bullet form, it can be a little shocking.
The colour comes across as a deep brown/purple berry tone and makes the perfect lipstick for any autumnal look.
As you can see from the swatch below, because the lipstick is a lustre, it actually gives a very sheer colour pay off. It's also filled with very fine glitter, which I love, with that addition it gives amazing dimension to your lips.
The colour is definitely one of those that you have to try before you turn your nose up at it! It's so different on your lips, to what you see in the tube. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have bought this otherwise.
Has anyone else tried this lipstick, and if so what did you think of it?

and this isn't even a quarter of it!!
My taste in products has become ever increasingly more expensive.
These are a few of the items at the top of my list and will most probably be the first things I buy as soon as I have some pennies. If the job hunt continues being as pants as it has been, I might have some money by March. Haha.
Can anyone recommend some good ways to make a few bob?

My birthday wishlist.

It's only 3 months away, so I thought it was about time I put together my birthday list!
I have no high expectations to actually get any of this, as I know how skint everyone is, myself included, but somehow my taste has become very expensive in the past year. Probably even more so since I've been blogging and spending a lot of time looking at new products.
1. Rio Sonicleanse (Yes it's a cheap version of the Clarisonic. :( I will never afford to get one of those babies, so I doubt anyone in my family will either.)
2. Hitachi DZHV1074E/U High Definition Camcorder
3. Ikea Alex 9 drawer Unit
4. Topshop Bronzer & Blush in Burning Embers - From the smoke & mirrors collection
5. Mac Blush in Peachy Keen
6. Rose gold Asos Boyfriend Watch
7. Mrs Bunny Sigma Brush Kit
8. Any Yankee Candles
Fingers crossed for maybe at least one thing off my list?
