Hey beauties,

This week is Smooch week.
I was very, very kindly sent a bundle of products to try, so I figured I would dedicate a week to reviewing said products.
I have given them a good test and I feel this week may come in handy, if you do ever fancy purchasing a few new items.

Black Lash Mascara* is Smooch Cosmetics only mascara.

The packaging is the usual matte black and lace detailing. Personally, I like the simplicity of it.

The brush is pretty big, but grabs onto the lashes really well. Other than that, it's quite a standard brush.
The mascara itself is pretty wet, but not too wet that it doesn't apply evenly.

I find this mascara works best after curling the lashes. The mascara doesn't give much curl, but goes create a good amount of volume and length.

This is a great every day mascara, and makes a  whip on and go product, if you don't want to fuss with anything else.

One last point I'd like to make, is this mascara is easily removed. I don't know about you guys, but I hate having to battle with my mascara every night.

For £8.95 this is a great affordable mascara. You can find it over on the Smooch Cosmetics website.

A competitor for Benefit's They're Real? Maybe!

If you read my recent post about the Benefit event that I attended on Saturday evening, you will already know that I left, craving to buy They're Real. I hadn't tried it until that night and I fell in love.
The only thing that was putting me off, was the price tag.

February and March seem to be my most expensive months, with a ton of family and friends birthdays, so I was on the look out for something a little cheaper.
I had seen adverts for this new mascara from Maybelline for a couple of weeks, and I even had to stop myself from buying a few days back. But, luckily I have a very nice mummy and she knew how much of a pants weekend I'd had, so she sent me my birthday money early so I could treat myself.

I picked up the non waterproof version of this mascara in Black. I tend to cry a lot (yup, I'm an over emotional goose,) meaning waterproof or not, my eyes always run.

I have been totally blown away by this product. The photos you see below are the result of only one coat of mascara, with no curling prior to application!
It is incredible!
The plastic brush has what I can only describe as tiny 'brissles' in comparison to what I'm used to. I feel that it still picks up plenty of product and distributes it evenly, whilst curling your lashes and giving you tons of volume.

I found it stayed well on my lashes and was easy to remove when it came to the end of the day.

I may have only used this a couple of times so far, but I think I can already say that this is going to be a favourite for the month of February.

You can currently purchase the new Rocket Volum' Mascara from Boots for only £5.99.

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Liam and I went for a stroll around a few shops today, so I thought I would give you a little OOTD along with my FOTD today. You can see a little glimpse of my new shoes which I am in love with! I'll be featuring them in a haul as soon as my other bits and bobs arrive. Liam hates them!
I've been feeling really self conscious for the past couple of days, so I'm loving the fact that the sunshine in the middle photo makes me look much skinnier than I am. I've taken up a new workout plan that I'll be sharing with you guys on Friday and fingers crossed by them I can say that I have lost a couple of pounds.
What have you guys been up to this weekend?

Hi my lovelies!
I think it's safe to say TGIF this week. I've got a day of cleaning ahead of me again, we've more flat viewings tomorrow morning and Liam's at work, so muggins here has to do it all herself.
Saying that, I don't think I'm really dressed for cleaning the flat. I've been wanting to wear this dress/skirt for days, but with work and other things that have happened, a skirt never seemed appropriate.
The tank top is one of my favourites. It began life as a plain white t-shirt until I added the purple dip dye, skulls and cut off the sleeves.
Keep your pretty eyes peeled for a haul up on my youtube channel within the next month, I may or may not have done a little bit of naughty shopping.
Hope you all have a fab Friday, I'll check in with you all again later this weekend.

Pink to make the boys wink...
WHAT I'M WEARING
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Just a super small amount
ELF All Over Colour Stick in Lilac Petal
Pink Eye shades from the ELF Clutch Palette
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
MeMeMe Light Me Up Lipgloss in Illuminate

I felt like keeping things simple today, the weather's warm, although the sky is grey and I really needed a touch of colour.
Today I'm focusing on getting a few blog posts sorted as I'm starting my new job soon and the house move is still on going. I really don't want to fall off the edge of the blogging planet again like I did when my laptop broke.

How's your Monday going?

When I received this mascara as a sample in my March Glossybox, I have to admit the first thing I though was 'damn, it's not the burberry lipstick', but after applying the product and giving it a chance, it really impressed me.
The curled brush makes it very easy to apply. I don't usually curl my lashes, so to find that this mascara not only gives tons of volume, it also gives amazing lift and I would say unless you have ridiculously straight lashes, curling is not entirely necessary.
The sample I received is 2ml in size, whereas a full size product is 6.5ml and can be purchased for £21.

To the dark side...

I feel like it's been a good while since I last wore a dark eye. I also tried out new mascara today, so keep your eyes peeled for a review coming up this week!

Hi Lovelies!
I recently came across a little competition on the Bobbi Brown Facebook page, so I thought I'd give it a go seeing as all you had to do was 'like' the page and enter your details.
Well, I won! Woo! This is the first thing I've won, so as you can imagine I was quite chuffed.
The item I won was a sample size of the Perfectly Defined Mascara. I've never tried anything from Bobbi Brown before so I was really looked forward to getting it in the post.
When I received it Saturday morning the first thing I thought was 'damn, I've already put my make-up on!'
When I did get to give it a go though, the brush seemed nice, nothing fancy and not too chunky and the formula was pleasantly runny. I don't really like mascaras that feel thick and clumpy. I'd much rather work with something that doesn't instantly give me the spider lash effect!
This amazing result was after only one coat! I can't remember the last mascara I used where I didn't have to apply two coats for it to even look half this good.
The mascara certainly did what it says it does, it defines your lashes and I'd even say it gives amazing length as well. I didn't curl my lashes before use as I wanted to see what it would be like on my natural lashes, no prepping. The product seemed to give a good curl without making it look too forced, and my lashes didn't feel crisp after application either.
I have nothing but good things to say about this product and I would definitely look into buying a full size.
I am so pleased I got to try this out and would really recommend entering the next little comp they run on the facebook page. You never know, you may just win. :)

Something a little different...
This started off as a smokey eye and ended up rather pointy! But I like it!!
I hope you're all having a good Monday!

Hi Lovelies!
Oh my goodness. This post somehow got left behind in all the Christmas madness. This kit was previously given to my sister in law, but she admitted to herself that she would never use it and passed it on to me! The first thing that caught my eye was the cover of the packaging. It's stunning and now the empty box is standing on my dressing table.
The set contained a highlighter, a glitter eye liner, mascaras in black and brown, 8 loose pigments and 8 crème shadows. Also inside the box is a mirror and a tutorial to help you create a metallic smoky eye.
The crème shadows make for ideal bases to the pigments. Both are very sheer but together they give a nice colour. The pigments are filled with tons of sparkly reflects so fallout is inevitable, this is certainly something to watch out for when applying them.
I can't say I've used these a whole lot since Christmas, but they will definitely get a lot more use in the summer.

Hi Lovelies!!
This little beauty was a Christmas present from Liam. I was in massive need of a new mascara and this is perfect.
The packaging is so cute and girly, which of course I love. The mascara has a plastic applicator which I wouldn't normally pick out, I tend to prefer a brush, but my mind has been totally changed. I have never used a plastic applicator that has worked as well as this does. It grips your lashes so well and give them a very long look.
The applicator is bendy which makes it very easy to apply with. The formula itself is quite thick, which at first I thought would be a miss for me, but this means you don't have to pile on tons of coats to get good lash coverage. I usually only apply one coat and go.
