Well howdy! 

It's been a little while since I was last consistently posting, and as much as I have been trying time recently. It just hasn't been there. I've been really lazy when it comes to WFF and I have to admit, I feel awful about it. 

So, I have planned out time each day to get something for the blog done and dusted. I really do love writing content for it, but as many other bloggers will probably tell you, sometimes you just don't know what to write. 

I would love to know what you guys would like to see from WhenFlowersFall. What do you think it missing? What would you like me to feature? If it's more beauty or fashion, parenting and lifetstyle; or even if you like how it is at the moment with a random mixture of everything, please let me know in the comments below. All feedback is good feedback, and I think that's what I've been missing recently. 

Anywhooo, today's face was put on to hide the fact that Scout woke us up at 4am this morning. He hasn't been up that early in months and it was a total shock to the system! 

I decided to go with a messy, red toned smokey eye, and bitten lips. (Which didn't last long, as Scout woke from his nap ten minutes after application.) 

I've fallen completely in love with MAC Pro longwear concealer again, and it's becoming a staple in my every day makeup.

With that being said, I am going to tootle of into bed now, and hopefully catch a good amount of zzz's. Fingers crossed we don't have a repeat of last night.

Monday Make-Up beauty | fotd | monday makeup

This is a series I used to have on my blog a while back. It's one I loved to update every Monday, and I have no idea why I ever stopped doing it.
I've felt a real slump recently. I'm having a bit of a mummy dilemma and I feel a little like a middle aged housewife at the moment. I rarely put make-up on, unless I'm actually having to leave the house, and I certainly don't feel pretty a lot of the time.
So, I'm bringing it back, and I'm hoping it will get me inspired again. I still love creating new looks just as much as I used to, I just need to make some more time for me, and this is as great as an excuse as any.

Thi s is a look I wore a lot over the weekend. It's a current fave and I'm just loooovving anything bronze at the moment. Much like everyone else in the world right now.
I love the fact that it's a little undone. Messy and grungy if you will; and it really makes my eyes look blue. They never look blue!

I feel like it's totally going to be my go to look for a while. I just need to remember to change things up next Monday. :)

I hope you've all had an ok Monday! I would say a great one, but let's face it, it's Monday.
I had loads of plans to get tons of posts written up today. I have so many sitting in my drafts with photos ready, but apparently Mr Buggy dog also decided that today would be a needy day. He spent all morning crying at me whilst I was sitting in the office, and as soon as I gave in and sat next to him downstairs, he fell asleep. Something tells me he's preparing me for little Scout's arrival.

One thing I did manage to get done, which would have been up earlier had he not have driven me insane was today's make-up. I'm finding putting a face on in the morning is helping to keep the low moods at bay and I actually feel a little better about myself. Pregnancy is not easy.
That being said, I am loving it more and more each week and we're both starting to get really excited about meeting our little dude.

Happy first Monday of 2014!

I ended up taking a little break over the holidays, and even though it wasn't planned, I'm sure glad I did. I became rather ill over Christmas and all of my plans just flew right out of the window.  I really hope you all had an amazing couple of weeks.

Liam's back at work today, so I guess that means that I am too. I hoping to get straight back on my normal posting schedule, so you can expect to see a some more of me from now on. 

Today's face is my first play with the Naked 3 palette. Believe it or not, this is the first one I've actually owned. I had really high hopes for it and oh my, it did not let me down. 

I do own the MUA dupes for one and two, but after using this this morning, I'm really thinking I need to bite the bullet and purchase the real deals.

Hey beauties!

It seems morning sickness hates me, and after posting my last post I ended up spending the entire week in bed. I even lost a couple of pounds through not eating a whole lot. Not fun.
Luckily though, I'm feeling much better today and I've even managed to film a couple of videos and write a couple of blog posts!! Shock horror!!
Hopefully this means that it's all up from here and I can get back into doing the things I love. After having such a long break I'm really hitting a brick wall when it comes to ideas though, so if you have any post or video suggestions, please feel free to leave them in the comments below.  They will be much appreciated.

Anywhooo, I just thought I'd post a photo of my make-up today, because quite frankly, I can't believe I'm actually wearing some. It seems like a real treat at the moment.

Hey beauties!

Yes, I finally have my mojo back. Since the move I've really struggled to find a new routine, but I am determined to make this work. 

I'm focussing this week on blog posts and videos, so if you have any requests or suggestions for either, please feel free to leave a comment below. 

Make-up wise, I've really started to enjoying playing around with different styles and colours again. Even though I'm not doing much today, and probably not even leaving the house, I really wanted a use a pop of colour and this bright blue is just perfect! No doubt it will be dripping off of my face within the next couple of hours, it seems we are actually having some sort of Summer?! But if I'm honest, I'd trade a face of make-up for some hot, sunny days anyday.

Well, howdy doo my little beauties. 

I'm so sorry for the lack of posts and videos etc. Especially when I kept saying that it would be back to normal. 

I've spent a lot of time since turning 23 feeling pretty pants if I'm honest. Without trying to sound dramatic, I had a bit of a mini breakdown a few days ago. I was very much struggling with keeping my mood high, and after visiting family in the past couple of weeks, I felt I knew what I was really missing. 

At the end of the day, I know a lot of my low moods and 'feeling bad' days are down to my depression/anxiety, so I know that things will always be getting better. 

I'm at a stage now that I feel like I'm finally feeling somewhat 'normal', in a sense that I can now leave the house on my own, go to the shop, go to meet-ups etc. All things I wouldn't even have thought about this time two years ago. But, the biggest issue for me is still work. After being out of work for these past two years, I'm now feeling really frustrated that this is my only problem that hasn't really been helped by the medication I have been taking. I would love to get back to work, but deep down, in the pits of my stomach I know that I would still have huge issues to get up and go, that's if I did manage to get through interviews etc first. 

I've been looking online recently and I feel sick doing it, but I'm hoping that one day a job will pop up and my head will finally shout loud enough to be heard over the beating of my heart. If I'm going to push myself to get through this, I want it to be for a job that I'm passionate about, something that I know I will enjoy doing. Which, if I'm completely honest, I haven't had for a very long time. All jobs I've applied for before have been because I felt like I had to. Money pressures and such like. Those pressures are still very much there, but now the understanding of my issues is there too, it seems a lot easier to focus on what's important. 

So, after that very long winded catch up on me, I now want to get myself back to feeling good. I've spent these past couple of weeks feeling really cruddy and I've just let it happen. This week I am bringing back Friday Fitness, a new diet (I've fit my highest weight :S ), and hopefully regular videos. 

Blogging and Youtube is something that I love with all my heart and if it bought in pennies, I would make it my job, but that's really a longterm goal. Not exactly something that can happen over night. So, I'm now going to throw myself back into it, stop rambling and get on with today's actual post!

Well done to you if you managed to get through that lot!

I chose to keep today's face light, only using Benefit's Fakeup in Light and Medium as my base. If you're having a good skin day, it's amazing. 

On my eyes, I'm wearing maybelline colour tattoo in 'Light in purple' and 'Turquoise forever' on my top lid, and MUA single shadow in Shade 10 smudged on my lower lash line. I'm wearing Benefit Bad Gal Lash mascara and 'Guipure' from my Sleek blush by 3 palette on my cheeks. 

On my lips is just The Body Shop lipgloss in watermelon. 

As you can probably see, my eyebrows are in a somewhat appalling state at the minute and you will see a post on them coming up within the next week.

Hey beauties!

I feel a little bit like a fraud today, as this make-up is actually what I was wearing yesterday. 

I was filming my monthly favourites and empties videos, trying out a few new products I have recently been sent, felt a little sicky and figured I would take some snap shots in case I felt worse today. Which I do. 

I feel like I'm always ill at the moment, so I'm going to invest in some vitamins on pay day. 

I've not had my yearly dose of bad tonsillitis yet and I feel this may be the lovely beginnings of it. 

Oh joy!

But, I'm just going to let it runs its course and hopefully I will be feeling better in a few days. Rest and general silence usually works wonders. 

I will not be sick for the Leeds Fabb Event. It just will not happen!

 I know it's getting late, I've had a bit of an odd day if I'm honest, but I still wanted to share this. 

I really wanted to bring back a regular post I used to do way back when I started this blog. Each monday I will share the make-up look I have chosen to wear. Even on the Mondays I choose to wear nothing. It's kind of a weekly FOTD, except you'll know to always expect it on a Monday.

I've just noticed that in the madness of driving back from Cheshire last week, I actually missed this last week! Naughty Sam!

Today is the 2nd birthday of my adoptive niece/best friends daughter and we took her to a local farm and playbarn. 

I don't think I quite thought this make up through though, because after a couple of times down the huge, scary drop slide, it was literally dripping off of my face. Haha. It was so warm today and I completely forgot how energetic Amy is! Her favourite words todays were 'more' and 'again'!

When I reached the car I realised my eye shadow had creased and my foundation was soooo patchy. Next time, I shall go barefaced.

After having an eventful weekend of wearing a full face of make-up, I thought I would give my skin a little rest and go lightly with it today. 

I was over the moon to see the Murad Primer in the bottom of my goody bag from the #leedsbloggermeetup2012. I've tried a sample of the dewy finish primer and you can see the review for that here. This one applies very much the same, but I think I definitely prefer the matte finish. 

Today seems to be turning into a rather lazy day. My insomnia is playing hell at the moment, so I think I'm going to spent the rest of the day relaxing, catching up on my blog reads and drinking tea.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Liam and I went for a stroll around a few shops today, so I thought I would give you a little OOTD along with my FOTD today. You can see a little glimpse of my new shoes which I am in love with! I'll be featuring them in a haul as soon as my other bits and bobs arrive. Liam hates them!

I've been feeling really self conscious for the past couple of days, so I'm loving the fact that the sunshine in the middle photo makes me look much skinnier than I am. I've taken up a new workout plan that I'll be sharing with you guys on Friday and fingers crossed by them I can say that I have lost a couple of pounds.

Hi my lovelies!

I think it's safe to say TGIF this week. I've got a day of cleaning ahead of me again, we've more flat viewings tomorrow morning and Liam's at work, so muggins here has to do it all herself. 

Saying that, I don't think I'm really dressed for cleaning the flat. I've been wanting to wear this dress/skirt for days, but with work and other things that have happened, a skirt never seemed appropriate.

The tank top is one of my favourites. It began life as a plain white t-shirt until I added the purple dip dye, skulls and cut off the sleeves.

Keep your pretty eyes peeled for a haul up on my youtube channel within the next month, I may or may not have done a little bit of naughty shopping.

Just another super quick post for this afternoon. I thought I'd share my FOTD featuring a lip colour that I will be reviewing in a few days. Without saying too much now. I absolutely adore this shade. 

Also, another quick note. Do you guys have any suggestions for my hair? Do I keep fading out the pink and keep the blonde, grow out my roots and go for an ombre look? Or, do I go for something different?

Monday Make-up is BACK!

So, it's been well over a month since I last did a Monday make-up and I promised yesterday that it would be returning.

Today I'm going to a much awaited We The Kings gig and this is what I came up with for my face. 

I didn't want to go too overboard as I know I am going to be roasting once the gig is in full swing, and to be honest, make-up running down your face is never pretty. :)

As I write this, it's just started to rain. Wonderful!
