I actually cannot believe that it has only been a matter of days since I managed to get rid of my last cough/cold and now I'm suffering again.
I have a horrid suspicion that my tonsils are the culprit as my issues always begin with them swelling to the size of golf balls. That usually goes down and then the cold appears.
At the minute I'm battling through it, it's getting pretty boring being lazy around the house every time this happens.
In a bid to be productive this weekend, I'm going to take the time to sit in front of the halogen heater and whack out some cracking blog posts. I am desperate to get some time to actually sit down and do it, but this week has been another hectic 'where the hell has the day gone' kinda week.
I've also been working on a few videos this week so I can be nice and ahead with my scheduling for the WFF Youtube channel. If there are any celebrity make-up looks you would like to see as tutorials, please let me know in the comments below.
Hopefully I can check in with you guys sometime this weekend. I hope you all have a great one.

As you all know, I attended the #northernbloggersxmasparty on Friday night.
In this case, I was lucky that I don't work. But for some of the girls, they either has to book the day/afternoon off, or rush to get ready in between finishing work and the party starting.
I had planned to film something different today, until I thought about creating this tutorial.
I show you how to take a simple work look, and turn it into something a little more evening out appropriate, using only three extra items.

Violent Lips

Hi lovelies!
This is a product I have wanted to try for a really long time, but have never gotten around to purchasing. So obviously I was thrilled to see them in our #Leedsbloggermeetup2012 goody bag.
I received the Pink cheetah lip tattoos which retail for £9.35 on the Violent Lips website. For the past week I've been feeling run down, so yesterday I figured I would have a play with them and see if I can figure them out.
I followed all of the instructions and applied the top lip first. I have to admit that I found it really tricky, but I was pretty impressed. When I moved on to the bottom lip, I found it even harder to apply and ended up totally screwing it up, missing half of my lip and I'm sure I ended up eating a little too. Haha.
I really love the concept of this product, but I think I definitely need some more practise putting them on. I think if there was a way to stop them looking so wrinkled, they would look perfect. But, again, that's probably just my bad applications skills.
I think these may not be for everyday wear, but they are certainly the perfect product for any party look as they pretty much last until you take them off.
I still have another couple of transfers from the packet, so I may do a little application demonstration on my YouTube channel, so watch out for that. I think I may try an incorporate them into a tutorial too.

Tutorial - Going For Gold

A couple of days ago I posted this tutorial on my youtube channel and I thought I would share it with you guys too!
I absolutely love this look and how it turned out, although I'm not one for bright yellow/gold eyes, I really think this works so, so well.
Below is the image I worked from and I think I got it as spot on as I could have done.

I'm sorry this is up super late, with all the Olympic ceremony fun last night and family visiting today, I had today forgotten that I was meant to get this post up.
Now I'm off to crawl into my pit with a huge food baby and a ridiculous headache.

Hi my lovelies!
You may have seen my recent post about the brand new webstore for Frontcover Cosmetics, if you haven't, you can read it HERE.
I contacted the lovely people at Frontcover and asked if I could maybe review one of their new sets, and to my delight this lovely kit was delivered to my door yesterday morning. Now I just want to make it clear that I did not pay for this product as it was sent for review, but that does not change the fact that my opinions are 100% honest as always.
The Bake Powder Collection contains 10 baked eyeshadows, 8 eye and cheek powders, shadowline eyeliner, a cheek brush and a double ended brush.
The kit comes neatly packaged in a really sturdy 'magazine inspired' box which shows three different looks you can create with the kit. Two on the inside and one on the back.
Both the eyeshadows and the eye and cheek powders are incredibly pigmented and have amazing wear. I tried out the eyeshadows yesterday, (as it turned up before I had put my face on,) and after cleaning the house top to bottom, the shadows wear still perfect. I kind of expected a little creasing as I hadn't used an eye primer, but not one teeny bit of creasing occurred.
The cheek powders are gorgeous, slightly shimmery but perfect for a summer glow.
Brushes wise, I love the little double ended brush, if you're without make-up tools, this will do the job no problem. The cheek brush on the other hand isn't really for me, but I think that's more down to personal preference. I tend to enjoy using more of a fluffy brush, but again if you were without tools, this would definitely do the job.
If I'm totally honest, I haven't tried the shadowline yet, but according to the instructions it turns any eyeshadow into an eyeliner. This I am intrigued in and I think I'll be doing a separate video for this. :)

Custom Cross Shirt

This tutorial is a super super easy one.
All you need is
- a t-shirt/tank top of your choice
- some fabric paint in a colour of your choice
- Firstly, you need to make sure your shirt is flat and place some newspaper in between the two layers of fabric just to make sure the paint doesn't run through.
- With a soft leaded pencil or some tailors chalk, mark out your cross design, or if you fancy something different, now is the time to design it.
- With your fabric paint of choice, you now need to fill in your design. With the Dylon fabric paint I used, you do need quiet a bit before the colour is solid.
- Once you are happy with the result, leave to dry.
- Most fabric paints require some kind of heat sealing. I just used my iron on a high heat with a tea towel between the shirt and iron. This prevents any paint getting onto your iron.
- Usually after this step you can just stick your shirt in a normal wash in the washing machine. If your t-shirt seems stiff where the paint is, this will be corrected after washing.
