A while back I purchased this beautiful baked blush from elf. These are a pretty new product to me, and I can't remember ever seeing them in the elf website before.
There are four shades available, and I purchased the shade Pinktastic.
As a baked blush, this product gives great pigmentation and a healthy glow to the skin. Pinktastic, being the softest colour of the four, could also be used as a highlighter. In fact, I would say it's more of a highlighter than a blush. The product itself is a combination of a soft subtle pink, with stronger pink running through the dome. Blended on the skin, the product becomes almost sparkly, it's just stunning. If you do use this as a blush, I wouldn't suggest using a highlighter also. This is pretty enough.
Being a baked product, you could also use it wet, but I haven't done that myself yet.
Compared to other elf products, I feel the packaging of this product looks a little cheaper. But, considering the very affordable price tag, that's not in any way a complaint.
I shall certainly be purchasing the other three shades available.

These were a touchy item for me when I first received them. If you watched my elf haul, then you will already know the dealio so I won't go into it too much. All I will say, is that the online swatches/images of these products are incredibly inaccurate and they look absolutely nothing like they do online. So much so, I thought they had sent me the wrong shades.
After getting past the shock of the actual colours of these lipsticks, I gave them a chance, and wasn't as disappointed as I thought I would be. The colours are still not what I had hoped for, but I do like them more than I thought I would.

The mineral lipsticks are incredible smooth and easy to apply. The overall application of them, I think depends on the shade. As you can see above, Natural nymph is a little streaky and I found it difficult to get an completly opaque finish. The two pinks on the other hand, applied much better and a lot less streaky.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will be reaching for Natural nymph too often as I feel it's a little to light for my skintone. It does tend to make me look a little ill/dead. Again, the pinks on the other hand are pleasant colours.
All of these shades apply glossy and smooth, I put that down to the added 'exoctic oils' in the product.
These lipsticks are 100% mineral based. They contain no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes. Although this is great, this could also be why these lipsticks don't really pack that punch I was hoping for.
In the few times I have worn these, I've found the wear time to be ok, but not fantastic. I find they can slip off the lips easily and regular reapplication is needed.

These are nice lipsticks, but I wouldn't say that they're ground breaking.
I don't think I will be purchasing any more of these, but they are the only elf product I've been disappointed with so far.

The studio matte lip pencils are one of my favourite products from elf. I already own two, so I took advantage of the recent sale and purchased another two shades.
These lip pencils are fantastic for anyone who struggles with lipstick. The pencil form, along with the soft and smooth formula of the product makes this super easy to apply.
The shades are very true to the colour in the bullet, they are really pigmented and brilliantly opaque.
Although these are a matte lip product, I find that they don't dry out your lips like some others do; they tend to keep your lips feeling soft and moisturised. As you can see in the photos above, the lip colour also catches some light still, meaning the matte finish is a little more flattering, and not so flat looking.
I feel the wear of these lip colours is fantastic. I've found I don't have to reapply these as often as I would with a regular lipstick.
I have previously purchased the shades 'natural' and 'coral', and I can say that they are just as great as the shades above. There are two other shades in the range, so I shall be purchasing these in my next order.

Pictures7Pictures10

This is a new holy grail product for me.
Upon opening, I was confused as to how different the product looked in pan, compared to the online photo/swatch.
In pan this 'blush' looks almost white. I would certainly say this should be sold as a highlighter rather than a blush, as I really don't think anyone would wear this in place of a pink or peach.
As I swatched the product I felt it was very soft, almost chalky at first. But when applied to the skin and blended out, the powder settles, looks smooth and absolutely gorgeous. The stark white settles to a soft glow with the most beautiful, tiny gold reflects.
As with all of the elf blush packaging, it is simple, sturdy and contains a handy dandy little mirror in the lid.

I've fallen in love with this product and I cannot praise it any more. In my opinion I think it would stand well against the higher end highlighters out there.

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Liam and I went for a stroll around a few shops today, so I thought I would give you a little OOTD along with my FOTD today. You can see a little glimpse of my new shoes which I am in love with! I'll be featuring them in a haul as soon as my other bits and bobs arrive. Liam hates them!
I've been feeling really self conscious for the past couple of days, so I'm loving the fact that the sunshine in the middle photo makes me look much skinnier than I am. I've taken up a new workout plan that I'll be sharing with you guys on Friday and fingers crossed by them I can say that I have lost a couple of pounds.
What have you guys been up to this weekend?

Pink to make the boys wink...
WHAT I'M WEARING
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Just a super small amount
ELF All Over Colour Stick in Lilac Petal
Pink Eye shades from the ELF Clutch Palette
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
MeMeMe Light Me Up Lipgloss in Illuminate

I felt like keeping things simple today, the weather's warm, although the sky is grey and I really needed a touch of colour.
Today I'm focusing on getting a few blog posts sorted as I'm starting my new job soon and the house move is still on going. I really don't want to fall off the edge of the blogging planet again like I did when my laptop broke.

How's your Monday going?

Hi lovelies!
You probably all noticed that yet again I did not do a MM last week. This is plainly due to the fact that any make-up I had put on my face would have melted off in minutes, hence I didn't really bother, and I'm not too sure how many times you guys would want to see my bare face.
Now the weather is back to its normal English-ness, I present to you my mermaid eyes. This look started off with just some super simple green eyeliner with a bit of a wing. I then grabbed my Blush professional colour palette and just kept adding more and more colours. At first I thought I may have over done it a bit, but looking at these photos I actually falling in love with the bright eye. The mascara I used was Lancome Hypnose Drama in Extreme black.
I kept the lips simple with an ELF matte lip colour in natural and I added some gloss with the MUA love hearts lip balm in Sweet Lips.
Let me know if you like this look, I may be inclined to film a tutorial for it as soon as my new brushes come.
