Hi lovelies!

I recently purchased this lipstick for a pound!! Yes, one Great British Pound. I found it in the cosmetics sale I have mentioned in previous posts and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the sale is still on when I'm not poor again. 

The first thing that stood out for me was the packaging. Anything bright and purple is likely to catch my eye and I was even more surprised when I didn't hate the shade of lipstick inside. I usually find with sales, that the colours aren't the greatest and are usually the ones that didn't sell so well in the first place.

Now, we all know by now that I love my lipstick. I generally lean towards brights and pinks, but I fell in love with this deep pinky red. It applies opaque and the formula is soft and smooth to apply, so doesn't tug too much on your lips. 

I have to admit, my favourite thing about this lipstick is the name. Fleur-tatious just reminds me of Fleur De Force! I wonder if she knows about this lipstick!

    Sorry I've been a bit absent from the blogging scene this week, I've been trying to get myself out of the holiday funk I got myself into and getting my self motivated for the new year!
   One thing I can say I've definitely been loving to do right now though, is recording more videos for my Youtube channel! Some of my very first videos, which I recorded on my mobile phone about 3 months ago, are make-up tutorials and I have only one word for them. Hideous! I'm tempted to even take them down, they are just that awful.
    I talked myself out of doing more tutorials at that point because 1. I didn't have a decent set up and 2. I didn't realise I could record on my camera (hence using the mobile.) But recently I've been missing it and now I'm super happy with my set up, my trusty camera is being used pretty much every day.
   Today I recorded this classic look with winged eye liner and red lips, please let me know what you think about it and if you can suggest anything to make my videos better. Remember, I'm still pretty new to this!

    Just a quick one to share this bargain with you. You've probably heard me mention the site cosmeticsfairy.co.uk, well during a mooch round the other day I came across this Rimmel Moisure Renew Lipstick in Violet Passion, for 75 pence! I read all of the details and found that it was a full sized, unused tester so instead of coming with the usual lid, it came with a pop on white cap. I didn't mind this at all, because hey, it was 75 pence! Obviously the photo shown on the website isn't actually the shade you receive, so before ordering I did do a quick search to see what the colour looks like.
   I'd highly recommend ordering from this site if you are after a bargain, delivery is quick and they are always very honest about the condition of the item you are buying.     Just another quick post on a recent MUA purchase of mine. Along with the three nail varnishes I posted about here, I also invested in two new lipsticks as well. This time I chose two darker pink shades, a soft mauvey shade (shade 9) and a rich dark shade (shade 2).

    The lipsticks like all others from MUA wear very well and these colours are ideal for a winter look. I'd team them with a classic winged eye and soft blush to make the colour on your lips really stand out.

Bold Lips. 

     This is one make-up trend I have never really followed, until now. In my latest ELF haul, I purchased two lips colours, a studio matte lip colour in 'Natural', which isn't really for the bold look, but the other was their plumping lip glaze in 'Ruby Kiss', which is the most gorgeous deep red gloss. Now usually I wouldn't wear a gloss because personally I don't like the sticky feel, but the colour itself is enough to make me want to wear it.

One celeb to watch for bold lips is Lauren Conrad. The Hills beauty seems to be rarely without this statement look. From rich burgundys to hot pinks, LC always wears this look teamed with the perfect winged eyeliner.
