Real Techniques Starter Set // Large Z Palette
Sleek I Divine Palette Vintage Romance

When my brother asked me what I wanted to Christmas this year it dawned on me that I hadn't even given it a single thought. Christmas is fast becoming a thing for the children in my family, and now that I'm 23 and expecting my first, I know for a fact that I won't be receiving much from my side. Instead, us adults are now getting little things like chocolate and socks, and the bigger presents are being bought for the kiddos.

I thought I may as well compile a couple of wishlists anyway, that way I can keep track of the things I have my eye on and maybe I can treat myself when I have a few spare pennies.

Beauty wise I'm currently wanting to expand my Real Techniques collection. I currently only own the core collection and the blush brush, and the three sets above would all be welcome in my brush jar. RT are so far my favourite brand of brush and definitely the ones I reach for most.

My other current obsession is perfume. Not that I don't have enough already. But, there are a few that I have had samples for throughout this year and I'd really love to get my hands on a couple of them. The Juicy Couture is one I have hinted at Liam for, as it's just that nice!

Other than that, I've had my eye on a couple of Sleek products. Sleek being a brand I haven't tried much from, and a Z palette. I have a ton of individual eyeshadows that could really do with depotting and this is just perfect.

There is one more thing, the new Urban Decay Naked3 palette. But not knowing exactly when it'll be available (supposedly before xmas), I haven't included it.

What beauty items are at the top of your wish lists at the minute?

This year we have Liam's works Christmas do to attend. We've known about it for weeks and weeks now, but only upon looking at the menu that got sent out did I realise that it's actually a black tie event.

I've been looking for a dress ever since, but unfortunately not only do I have the fun of finding a dress flattering to my chunky butt, I also have the challenge of finding something that will cater for my almost 18 week baby belly. Something not so easily done seeing as I really haven't a clue how big I'll be by then.
I'm currently 13 weeks and my belly is definitely growing, so who knows. Can someone look into the future for me?

I've picked out the six above from various maternity sections, but I'm still undecided. I really want to be comfortable, so I looked with that in mind, rather than being so focused on the black tie theme. I did also think about getting a non-maternity dress but just in a bigger size, but I really haven't a clue as to how that would work out. I also don't want to spend a fortune because I really don't know when I'd wear it again.

So let me know your favourite in the comments below. Or if you have another suggestion, that would be greatly appreciated too.
Hopefully I can decide soon!

Hi, my lovelies!

A few days ago, I managed to sit down and film a couple of videos. I was hoping to get a New Years tutorial up, but since then I have been struck down with what I think is the norovirus. In the past 24 hours I have lost 4lbs. I know it's probably all water so I'm making sure to stay hydrated. I may feel awful but I love the fact that I have had the most sleep I've had in a long time. I no longer feel tired.

As soon as this passes, I am hoping to film my resolutions video, along with my favourites of 2012.
But, for now you can enjoy these.

I, unfortunately, will not be partying tonight, but I hope you all have a fabulous New Years Eve!

This holiday season, Treacle moon has released an amazing limited edition bath/shower gel.
Warm cinnamon nights is winter in a bottle, the scent is cinnamon based with tones of cloves, ginger, vanilla and honey, all topped off with a touch of zesty orange.

You can pick up a 500ml bottle of this at Tescos for only £2.99. Such amazing value as a little goes such a long way.
So far I have only tried this out as a bubble bath, but the scent lasts a super long time, the formula doesn't dry out your skin and the bubbles are great!
I love this so much, that I can't see my self using anything else until this runs out.

Because this is a limited edition product, it's only available for a short period of time. So, if you are a lover of Christmassy, cinnamonny scents, go and pick up a bottle!

If you don't follow me on youtube, then you probably won't know that I posted a new beauty video yesterday.

I seem to be reaching for lipstick a lot at the moment, so I thought I would go ahead and share my five favourites with you.

You can watch the video below!
Enjoy!

Hi, lovelies!

Last night was the night of the #northernbloggersxmasparty. The party was arranged by the lovely Rachel from notesfrommycloset.blogspot.co.uk and was held at The Park inn hotel, York.
It was an absolutely amazing night!

Pictures2

I got ready far too early, but I was really happy with the outcome of a couple of hours playing with my make-up stash.
I also painted a couple of layers of Deborah Lippmanns Razzle Dazzle onto my nails.

My outfit for the night comprised of -
DRESS - Charity shop (BHS)
 JACKET - Blog sale (Matalan)
BOOTS - Nelly
EARRINGS - Kukee

Sorry about the not so greatly laid out photos. Liam took them for me, moments before I had to leave the house.
Organised Sam had turned into a very unorganised Sam by this point.

The room where the party was held was filled with lots of round tables with the most pretty center pieces. Sarah and I debated if we could get away with pinching it. Haha.
After a little confusion, we found that our table was labelled for Freelance writers. We were all pretty chuffed with that. I felt all fancy!
The night was filled with Christmas crackers, ridiculously yummy food, secret santa and a lot of dancing. Oh, and one rather merry fello who decided to pick on our table. He seemed to be everywhere!! (You'll see him on the vlog!)

Towards the end of the evening, we found a cute spot on the hotel stairs to take some outfit photos. I figured I would show you all what we were all wearing!

At eleven, we all started to head home.
I got back to mine a half past twelve, and proceeded to stay up until half past three to get the vlog edited and uploaded. You can watch it below!

Also, if you would like to go and check out the blogs of all of the other girlies, the links are as follows...

Hi, my loves!

I thought I would post the last couple of days of VLOGMAS, just in case you missed them. I have been uploading in the evening of the same day, but that means they have been completed in the early hours of the morning, meaning a lot of people have been missing them!

I hope you all are enjoying these little daily vlogs. It seems I have lost a couple of yt subscribers since starting them, so maybe I will create a vlog channel for next year.

I will back with my regular posts on Thursday! It's been a super busy week!!

I guess it's time to jump on the Christmas wishlist band wagon!

I already know for a fact that I'm not getting too much this year. I've already had the money I would have had from my Mum throughout the year, bills needed paying and sometimes you gotta give stuff up.

I figured the best kind of wishlist for me to comprise would to be an 'if money was no object' kind of one. So I chose five things that I am secretly dying for inside.

To begin with, I am craving to become part of the iPad gang, and no iPad would be fashionable enough without a fancy case. I'm not overly keen on the iPad mini though, isn't it just a slightly larger than a phone nowadays? Haha. It would be useless for getting posts written.

Secondly, when I saw this Mulberry purse the other day, my heart did a little flutter. It's just so pretty!! As is the Michael Kors watch that I have picked out. I know rose gold is a big trend for MK watches, but I feel I wouldn't get as much use out of it. The majority of my jewellery is silver so this one would be just perfect. It's also got some pretty splarklyness.

The last thing I would ask for if I could, would be a pair of loafers. I think the pair above were some I found on the UGG (yes, UGG) website a little while back, but I can't seem to see them any more. I'm a big one for my creature comforts and after spending an entire day yesterday, wearing a pair of flats that tortured my feet, and my current loafers being eaten by Bug, (I'm not even sure you can call them shoes anymore,) a pair like this would be a real treat.

I know this isn't really a wishlist filled with tons of designer shoes and handbags, but they are just a few things that I would love to own, but unfortunately may never. Unless my family come into some magical money and feel like treating me. Haha. In my dreams!

If you could pick three items for Christmas, no matter what cost, what you they be?

Hopefully this time I won't get hacked again!! But as a precaution, we are looking into getting me a new laptop. Virus scanners just don't seem to be finding what's letting these people get onto my laptop. :/
Anywhooooo, now I can actually type a proper post, I can show you a few bits that I got for Christmas!
Just a quick disclaimer though, I'm not doing this to brag at all, I just know a lot of people enjoy seeing these kinds of posts.
 Blush Professional 88 palettes
 Angry Birds speaker
 Mulberry-esque handbag
 River Island Hats
Rimmel Glameyes Mascara & W7 Africa Bronzer
 River Island boot slippers
 Large Yankee Candle
Welsh Cloggau Guardian Angel Locket
I also got to spend a couple of days with Liams family back home and enjoyed a couple of drinks with friends on Boxing day.
I should hopefully back in full blogging action from now on and I've got a good few things to review so keep your eyes peeled for those.

I hope you all had an absolutely fabulous Christmas!

Hi lovelies,
Yes I've been a little awol for the past couple of days, yesterday was a bit of a jumble if I'm completely honest. I had planned on recording a couple of Christmas themed videos, but our evening plans where muddled up, then bought forward, so Liam and I spent the entire evening with his work colleagues on their work Christmas do/celebration of releasing Strangers Wrath HD (a remake of an old oddworld game for those not in the know.) We spent the first couple of hours in the pub making toasts and chit chatting away, then moved onto the rather posh Indian restaurant down the road. I was going to vlog the entire evening but people were rather merry and I imagine it would of ended up being a mish-mash of slurred words and champagne glasses.
Anywhoooo, I've made a good few decisions this past week and I've also made a few new years resolutions.
  • Sort myself a decent job as soon as the new year comes in.
  • Sort out a proper recording area (I've already started moving some bits around.)
  • Look into a beauty/make-up artistry course to either do at home or college/uni, (if you guys can recommend any I'd be very grateful.)
  • Continue being a happier person and enjoy life more :)
This has to be the first year I've really looked forward to the new year. Christmas has never been a very cheerful time for me (with the excepting of getting engaged last year), but something feels different this year and I like it.
Merry Christmas Eve Eve!

Hi Lovelies!
Ages ago in one of my Youtube videos I mentioned this perfume I received it off of a friend for Christmas.  I told you guys I would show you the box and had completely forgotten until today. She admitted to me that she only bought it because of the pretty box and she had no idea whatsoever what it smelt like. Haha. Lucky for her it smells lovely. The scent is fresh and clean and reminds me of an early spring morning.
This has even now replaced my old trusty CKin2U in my handbag.

Hi Lovelies!
What a day it's been! Firstly I found out that due to horrid online bullying and haters, that my favourite youtube couple Sam & Jay Schuerman have deleted all existence. Their vlog channel, Sams make up channel, both their twitters and facebooks, have all gone! My last hope of ever having any contact with then was Sams blog, which has also now been deleted. I wish they could read this  because I wish them all the luck in the future. Hopefully we will see them again sometime in the future. I know the thousands of people who followed them would love a comeback some day. It's a massive shame that vile people have to ruin what plenty of others enjoy!!
On another note, I myself recorded two new videos today. Check them out below! I plan on doing a few more this week leading up to Christmas. I'm also trying to persuade Liam into doing some vlogs with me, but you know how men can be! I'll certainly get him on Christmas day!
Hope you are all well in this festive season!

Hi Lovelies!
I thought I'd share a few photos of my home, all dressed up ready for Christmas. I've spent most of the day shopping and sorting out the prezzies, I'm finally in the festive spirit! Being our first Christmas in our own home, Liam and I haven't got many decs, we haven't got a tree either, we thought it best seeing as Luna is still her mischievous self and we're pretty sure we'd be spending most of our time fixing it. How do you guys cope with naughty pets at Christmas?
Hope you're all having a good Christmas time.
I'm getting excited now!

I've been looking for some new rings recently and came across Dainty Roses through Twitter. The shop sells everything from jewellery to stationary it's all very reasonably priced and postage is as cheap as £3.00 maximum for worldwide shipping.
I browsed for a while and came across an offer for 3 random shell rings for £6.50, usually the rings sell for £3.50 each, so it's an offer too good to miss. My parcel arrived 5 days after I ordered, which for Christmas time, was really quite quick!
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful packaging. The owner Lisa had taken her time to personalise it with tags, cute string and a little badge. She had also hand written a lovely note on the back of her business card
After ordering, I sent Lisa a tweet saying how lovely her jewellery was. She replied asking what I liked in particular and I told her that I had my eye on one of the blue shell rings, I also told her what I had just ordered. She was so lovely, she told me that she would make sure that she put one of the blue ones in my random three.
These are the rings I received, they are all adjustable and are beautiful. I adore the colours and the way the shell catches the light. I also like the fact that she sent me three which were very different from one another.
For the price I paid for them, I am so impressed, I will definitely be ordering again and her products would make ideal stocking fillers for this fast approaching Christmas!
I also received a cute little gift with my order, so if you do read this Lisa, thank you so much.

If you're looking for gifts for someone special, or you just want to treat yourself, head over to the Dainty Roses website and have a browse!
Disclaimer - I purchased these with my own money and my opinion is truthful and honest.

well kinda...
Otley had its annual Victorian Christmas market today, and being our first year here, we didn't really want to miss it. Turns out we spent a good two hours mooching around the stalls, watching street performers, drinking mulled wine and eating amazing food. I only wished I had more money to spend, there were so many cute handmade bits and bobs. I also would have gone home with possible my weights worth of giant cookies and brownies!

If you're squeemish, don't look at the next few photos.

I am so looking forward to next years already!!
