theWFFloveyourbodyproject, fitness, health, lifestyle, weightloss, confidence, self confidence,

Ok, ok. So I have been really letting myself slip on this recently; and we are in the seventh month of this year already!!
I admit, I haven't really been trying to lose weight, but I also haven't felt overly insecure about my body recently either. That is a huge step in the right direction on this journey to body confidence.

For the past few updates, I've really gone on about losing weight; but I've realised this month that it's so much more than that. Confidence doesn't come from dropping a few pounds alone.
So, in a bid to start feeling more like myself recently, I've dyed my hair pink and gotten in touch with a tattoo artist. These are things I've been wanting to do again for a very long time, but just kept putting off. I'm currently waiting for some designs to drop into my inbox, and then hopefully I'll be getting all booked in for a couple of new pieces to make a start on my sleeve.

Wardrobe is another thing I am slowly working on. I almost always talk about how I'm still wearing the same clothes I wore throughout my pregnancy, and that is slowly but surely changing. I've bought a fair few new pieces recently, and I'm on the verge of having a huge wardrobe clear out. I just want to make sure that I'm not doing to leave myself with not a lot to wear by doing it.
So with that being said, weight loss is still a big factor in this project. As much as I haven't felt overly self conscious recently, I also haven't lost any weight. I'm still hovering around the same 206lbs point that I was at in January.
In a bid to kick start the weight loss again, I have downloaded the Value diary app. It's 'not in connection with any weight loss plan', but it's basically the Weight Watchers ProPoints system. I'm using this along side MyFitnessPal and hoping to see some progress soon.

theWFFloveyourbodyproject, fitness, health, lifestyle, weightloss, confidence, self confidence,

Exercise wise, I've lost my mojo. Until yesterday, when I felt a huge burst of inspiration. I've set myself a goal of cycling 10km five times a week, and doing some arm weights where ever I feel like I can squeeze some in. I'm definitely not the biggest lover of exercise, but I do know that I always feel incredibly good after I've completed a workout.

I think I'll leave the update at that for now. Hopefully next month I can tell you that I've lost some pounds and booked in for some new skin art.
If you do want to follow me on this journey more closely, you can follow my health and fitness instagram account - @wffloveyourbodyproject.
It's mostly a food diary, but I really want to start incorporating more of what this project is all about into it.

Self confidence is what counts.

It's been a while. Actually, a really long while since I put in some real effort for this years body confidence project.
I'm blaming the fact that we have been insanely busy of the past couple of months, but the reality is, is that I totally could have made time for it if I had even tried a little.
As of tomorrow, we will have been in our new home a month. I think that means it's finally time to stop procrastinating and get back on it.

I guess I've not really had much time to think about my relationship with my body recently, but in the past couple of weeks I've had those horrible feeling of self hate creeping back in. I've actually only gained back 3lbs, so in the grand scheme of things, I'm still down about 40lbs from my heaviest (pregnancy) weight. I think my issue right now is that I just see squishy. I feel a little bit too fluffy for my liking.

At the beginning of this year I gave myself twelve months to finally feel what true body confidence felt like. I want to be able to say that I love my body on New Years eve. I have six months left and I'm nowhere near close.

From this point on I am going to plan meals, exercise (if only a little) evening night, and start to look after myself again. I'm excited for it.
I'm really looking forward to toning up a bit and introducing lots of fruit and veggies back into my diet.

So this is where I am at this point (Left). I can see some improvement, but it's very little. By December, I'd like to see a bigger difference.

I intend on writing an update at the end of each month until my 'deadline', so you can expect a little catch up from me at the end of July.

If you want to join me on this journey, don't forget you can use the hashtag #theWFFloveyourbodyproject on Twitter and Instagram. You can also follow my journey to body happiness over on my Instagram account @wffloveyourbodyproject.

Happy Wednesday, flowers.
First off I want to apologise for being a tad MIA this week, thus far. All will be explained in this post.

So, as I explained last week, Liam has been sick with some horrid virus, and muggins here picked it up. Luckily I haven't got it as bad as him. He's still suffering three weeks on and has now resigned to the fact that he has to go to work no matter what. That's the joy of being self employed. No sick pay.

This week I've not done as great on the food side. I haven't reached for fruits and veggies as much as I'd have liked to and I have definitely made bad choices. Especially when it comes to eating meat. I'm never going to give it up if I reach for a greasy Burger King when I'm feeling down.
Exercise wise, I said last week that I wanted to have at least one workout under my belt by today. And that's exactly what I have. I only cycled for twenty minutes, but it's better than nothing in my eyes. But, boy oh boy, am I unfit.
As I'm started to feel better, I have to add that the days aren't that bad, this virus seems to like the mornings and nights; I would like to get two sessions down this week. My moods have been insanely low again this week, missing family and friends, Liam being back at work. Exercise seems to help that, so I really do want to make a conscious effort to get more active.

I haven't done so well with my food diary this week, most days I've *read not* remembered to fill in myfitnesspal, but not take the photos. I will post what I have below though.

That being said, this week I weighed in at 212.4lbs. A loss of  2.2lbs!! How I've managed that, I'm unsure. I was really expecting a gain, but I'm not going to think about it too much and just be happy with the result.

It's finally time.

Fourteen weeks after giving birth and many days of feeling crappy about the way I look and feel, it's finally time to get back on the healthy lifestyle wagon.
If you've been following me for quite some time, then you will know that I used to have a Friday fitness feature, which was pretty much what this is going to be. I used to cycle for an hour a day and I tried my best to eat well. Of course when I fell pregnant, that all kind of went to pot and I've not quite felt ready to pick it up again. Until now.

Weight wise, I'm not too unhappy. I'm actually 7lbs below what I was pre-pregnancy, putting me at 220lbs. Yes, I'm quite aware that that's still a lot, and it still means that I'm classed as obese. The truth is, that number may be large, but the only time I ever feel big, is when I see myself in photos, or on the daily vlogs.
But there's also another reason for me wanting to make a real effort with this now. If you follow me on twitter, then you will already know that I've had some health issues since having Scout. Issues that have caused me a whole ton of pain. I've had to have multiple tests, some of which I'm still waiting for results from, but so far it's been said that if I was to lose some weight, the pains would be less frequent and probably better controlled.
I'm going to use this weekly feature to keep a food and exercise diary, along with telling you guys how I've felt and how much I've lost, or not.
Not only is this about the weight loss, but about getting fit and healthy too. There is nothing more important to me, than being able to run around with Scout as he grows up.
Sitting at home most days with Scout means that I get bored and reach for food far to often. I've always used it as an emotional crutch and that's needs to stop.
Fitting in exercise is the hardest part, but I'm going to begin by aiming to cycle an hour for three nights of the week.  The other four nights I'll be using for blogging and youtube.

I really hope that I can stick to this, and I'm hoping to lose at least a stone by Christmas. Fingers crossed, keeping this diary will keep me motivated, and you guys can nag at me about it too.

Today has been a bad food day, which is what really spurred me on to start this now. So next week's food diary will start from tomorrow morning. Also, as soon as I feel like I'm having a good body day, (certainly not today), I'm going to take my 'before' photos.

I hope you guys will enjoy following me on this journey. If you want to join me, let me know in the comments below and we can keep each other motivated.

Since giving birth and losing over 30lbs, you'd think I'd be back in my pre-pregnancy clothes. Well, you'd think wrong. It seems someone forget to tell my hips and bum and unfortunately I'm going to have to work a whole ton harder to lose some more weight before I can even get my jeans up, let alone fastened.
With all of this hot weather, I've really been struggling to get out of my pjs. They are probably my coolest clothes I could wear, as my wardrobe is full of thick knits and leggings.
Now the things on this wishlist aren't all necessarily hot weather appropriate, but they are items that I have my eye on.
I'm giving myself until Christmas to lose a few more pounds (read many), so hopefully I can treat myself soon. I'm finding it hard to persuade myself to buy new pieces now as I'm so unhappy with my size, but I'll get there. It's just going to take some time as I have to eat a good amount for breastfeeding.

#FridayFitness - Inches not Pounds

Hi flowers!

You didn't see me this time last week, and I'm sorry for that. After finding yet again, that I hadn't shifted anything, I was having an incredibly low body day.
I would be the same today if it wasn't for something my mum said to me.
At the beginning of this series, you may remember that I not only told you my start weight, but also my measurements. Again, this week I have stayed the same. 229lbs seems to be a plateau for me; I've lost 5 lbs and now I'm struggling to get over this hurdle.
I did decided to whip out my tape measure again this week though. Mum had told me not to stress too much about the number on the scales, something I had been doing, and she also told me to keep track of my measurements. To my surprise, I have lost what I would say is a pretty surprising amount. Underneath is the measurements I started off with, and this weeks measurements in purple.

Weight - 234 lbs 229lbs -5lbs
Upper arms
(r) -  42cm  39cm  -3cm
(l)- 39cm 37cm  -2cm
Thighs
(r) -  71cm  70cm  -1cm
(l)- 73cm 74cm  +1cm
Bust - 106cm 101cm  -5cm
Waist -90cm 85cm  -5cm
Hips - 129cm 125cm  -4cm

Looking at the results, I'm not feeling as low as I would have if I hadn't of measured. I'm actually feeling pretty good about it all.
Liam and I have started making weekly meal plans, only shopping once a week for the food we need for those meals. So far, it seems to be working and we've nearly gone an entire week without ordering a take-away. Which I'm ashamed to say, will probably be the first time in roughly 8 or 9 months. Funnily enough, we think it might not only help our waistlines, but also our bank accounts too. Bonus!
Cycling wise, I'm struggling. My problem knee joints are playing up something rotten, and I'm only managing to do 15-20k twice a week at the moment.
I'm hoping as the weight starts to fall off again, my knees will feel better and I can up my game again.

Keep your eyes peeled for a follow up review on the running shoes I received next week.
I've been living in them.

Let me know how you're getting on with your fitness journey in the comments below!

Hi flowers!

So I'm two weeks into the vegetarian chapter of my life. I'm happy to say that I think I've done pretty well considering I just decided one day to give up meat. The only thing that I did allow myself to have, which I said I would anyway, was a small portion of sushi from Asda.

This week though, has been a tough one. I've found myself craving meat like a mad woman and I even fell asleep thinking of steak on Wednesday night. Yup, sounds crazy, but it's true. Because of this I have decided to allow myself fish/seafood for a while, which will hopefully mean that I won't cave and stuff my face with beef one day.
I'm not sure if it will become a forever thing, but for now I think it's best for me.
I cannot tell you how much willpower I had to use not to make a sausage sarnie. Liam's been away this week and I, unfortunately had no petrol in the car to go to the shop to buy some veggie sausies.

Other than that, I need to cut down on the things that I've started to replace meat with. I've found myself reaching for cheese far to often and I imagine it's one of the reasons that I haven't lost much weight in the past two weeks.
I've only lost a pound since my last weigh in with you guys and I really feel the need to step up my game, so I've made this to spur me on...

Photo 09-08-2013 13 18 10
These two jars are now sitting on my shelf until behind my desk. You may be able to see them every now and then in my videos.
The 'lbs to go' jar originally had 50 glass stones in it, a stone for each pound I would like to lose. As you can see, it's now missing a few and they are happily sitting in the 'lbs lost' jar.

I'm hoping that now I have something visual to keep me going, I may be able to keep up my motivation.
There's no feeling like moving a glass bead from one jar to the other.
Today I'll be moving one more over and in my eyes, it's better than nothing.

Start weight...
234lbs
This week...
229lbs
-5lbs

ps - I'm looking for some good quality, affordable sportswear. If you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments. If I do get my hands on some, I'll do some reviews for you guys. :)

#FridayFitness

Hey beauts!

I have been dying to write this post all week.
After what seems like forever at staying the same weight, I am pleased to say that the number on the scales is finally going down.

On Monday I started drinking a different brand of shakes. I generally have 2 a day, a meal in the evening and some light snacks throughout the day. Evenings are the hardest and I tend to find myself more hungry and craving bad stuff in the later hours. But, luckily I am getting better at the whole will power thing.

Exercise wise I have been on my stationary bike for an hour a day, with a rest day yesterday. I have cycled a total of 31 miles so far this week and I plan on getting another ten done today once I've finished with all of my housey duties.

So, on to the important bit. I haven't had time to measure as of yet, I'm going to get Liam to help me this evening as it gets a little fiddly.

This weeks stats...
Weight - 229.8 lbs -4.6lbs
Upper arms (r) -  cm  (l)- cm
Thighs (r) -  cm  (l)-cm
Bust - cm
Waist -cm
Hips - cm

I shall update the rest as soon as I have the figures. Generally I don't feel like I have lost much in way of cm but I so happy with the nearly 5lbs off!

How are you all getting on?

Bringing #FridayFitness Back!

Hi beauts,

I am so sorry for not posting for so long. I fell off the wagon, a lot of life things happened and I'm finally ready to hop back on it. I've gained a ridiculous amount of weight and I'm now tipping the scales at 234lbs.
Jeez that is so scary to me.

When I look in the mirror I don't see it, but if I see a photo of myself, it's there, staring right back at me, and I hate it.

Liam and I were planning on getting married July next year, and apart from being far from prepared/have no money, I wouldn't be happy walking down the aisle this big.
I'm giving myself a year to drop 2 dress sizes. That's all. I don't want to be a super skinny size 8, because it just wouldn't suit my height. But, I do think that being a size 12 again would at least make me feel good about myself again. I'm not too worried about what the scales say, but to drop a good 30lbs would make me incredibly happy.

My plan of action...

To begin with I am going to focus on eating the right foods. With moving and everything else that has gone on, we have found it far to easy too call a takeaway and we have literally been living off of junk. It's become a horrid addiction as both Liam and I find it difficult if we go without lots of carbs of sugar for too long.
As of today I am currently drinking 2 meal replacement shakes and eating a good healthy dinner. I'm upping my protein, and lowering my carb intake. My sister has just become a Herbalife coach and has done incredible on it herself, so once we have sorted our bills and such like out, I'm hoping to change my shakes to those. They are rather pricey. If it comes to it and we still can't afford Herbalife, then I will continue with the maxitone shakes I am drinking at the moment.
Side note - Banana is waaaay better than chocolate!

Shortly after our move I purchased an exercise bike and I'll be doing an hour's worth of cycling a day. It's scary, but at the moment I am finding it really difficult walking long distances. My leg muscles seize up all the time and make it really painful. I'm hoping that'll get better once I actually start working those muscles again; and being able to do that on a stationary bike in my own home is brilliant because it means no-one will see my 'oh my god this hurts face' and won't think that I'm a morning drunk. (I cannot walk in a straight line when it happens.)

If you want to join in...

- I shall be posting a new #FridayFitness post every Friday. I'll make it my weigh in day so anything and everything will be tracked. I will be tracking my weight, but more importantly, I shall be whipping out my tape measure every Friday morning also.
Feel free to write about #FridayFitness yourself and link it in the comments below, or if you like just let me know what you are doing and how you are getting on.
- You can use the hashtag on twitter and I will check it weekly and reply to any tweets.
- I also have a Tumblr dedicated to this here.
- I have a Facebook group in which you can join here.
 - I may also turn this into a Youtube series over on my vlog channel, but I'll let you guys know in the future if this happens.

Starting Stats...

Weight - 234 lbs
Upper arms (r) -  42cm  (l)- 39cm
Thighs (r) -  71cm  (l)- 73cm
Bust - 106cm
Waist -90cm
Hips - 129cm
Anywho, hopefully some time in the future, I will feel confident enough to post a 'before' photo. But not right now.
Let me know if you decide to follow me on this journey!
xoxo

Previously known as, Friday Fitday.

Now, you guys know that I've been atempting some kind of weightloss for the past year. For the past year I have failed! But, now I have an incentive.

My brother has made a group on Facebook called 'The Challenge'. He has challenged myself and a few of his friends to a weight loss mission. We have six months to healthily lose as much weight as we can. The one who loses the biggest percentage by then will get a prize from him.

This week I have been tracking my food on MyFitnessPal, which you can feel free to add me as a friend on, and I've also been walking the dog every day. Which, if I'm totally honest, I haven't been doing until now.

#FridayFitness will now become a weekly post where I can update you on my activities and favourite meals of the week, and of course any weight lost.
I'd love to create a little community here, where we can all help each other and keep each other motivated.
If you want to get involved, make sure to use the hashtag #FridayFitness on twitter and let me know how you are getting on.
In the comments, feel free to leave inspirational quotes, meal ideas, recipes, or even exercise ideas.

I've also created a group page on facebook for anyone wanting to get involved. It's a closed group, meaning that anyone can see the group and join, but only members of the group can see what is posted.

I hope to see some of you doing this with me! I think it'll be a great way to make friends, even if some of us struggle to shift the lbs!

Well, halllooo there!

tumblr_m91a8yrTcx1rd6a2xo1_500

Any who, you know last week I said I would be on day 7 of the shred by now? Ummmm.....yeah...fail! I totally forgot how bad my back gets when I actually start exercising, so although I haven't given up, I have taken a few days off to get some proper sleep and rest my back. I'm not too sure what it actually is, I think it may be an old work injury flaring up again, or it may even be a trapped nerve. Either way, it's bloody painful.
I am doing my next shred tomorrow, which will be day five.

So far I feel good, the shred has definitely felt easier each day I've done it. More hurting, more sweating, but certainly less out of breath. If all is well, I hope to complete a full week this week. I've discovered that it's amazingly difficult to do with a nine week old puppy in the room though. Haha. Picture Bug sitting on my stomach or chewing my hair/face whilst trying to do the abs section.

I haven't lost any weight yet, neither have I lost anything inch wise, but I am beginning to feel less bloated and frumpy. I know it's sad, but I always get a little excited when I can see the beginnings of collar bones. I feel way more feminine.

I imagine you're wondering what my measurements are by now, so without further a do, these are my beginning stats.

Arms - 14" (36cm)
Chest - 41" (104cm)
Waist - 36" (91.5cm)
Hips/Bum - 48" (122cm) Yup, I gots a big toosh.
Thighs - 27.5" (70.5cm)

I've decided not to be so hung up on the numbers on the scale, but more on the the numbers above. As the picture below says, it's not always weightloss that makes you smaller.

tumblr_m8yxssGWQf1r2zyogo1_r1_500

Hopefully by next week I can give you more of a progress update.
If you missed my announcement on Twitter earlier this week, you can now follow me on My Fitness Pal at Whenflowersfall. There you will be able to keep up with me daily and check in on my food diaries too. If you do add me and you see I haven't filled in my dairy for the day, please yell at me because I keep on forgetting!!

I hope you are all doing well with your goals! Make sure you keep me updated!!

Friday, 2 November 2012

Yup! You guessed it. Friday Fitday is beginning again.

It's taken me so long to get my mojo back, but now I have, I'm not letting it go again.
As I type this, my hands are shaking from completing day one of the 30 day shred. My friend Rachel has been doing it for a while and has managed to get to the end of level two, so I figured it was time to join her.

c4cd7480250611e2862522000a1f9c96_7

I am knackered...
...and mildly sweaty. I honestly feel I'd forgotten how unfit I am.

I've tried to do the shred before and now I remember why I didn't complete it. Jillian Michaels is a real ball buster and her voice just gets on my tits. But, if I get the results I want, then I am going to get through the entire thing this time.

Just like it used to be, I will be posting updates every Friday. I was going to do it today, but I just didn't feel brave enough, but next week I'm hoping to be able to post some full body photos. They won't necessarily be before photos, as I will be 7 days into the shred by then, but I can't imagine I am going to have huge results that quickly.

Right now I am weighing in at 15.2 stone (214lbs) and I am 5ft 11. Seeing the numbers like that really scare me and with the #Northernbloggersxmasparty only a month away, I'd like to shed at least a stone by then. According to the BMI charts, I am verging on obese. My ideal weight is somewhere between 9 and 12.5 stone. Let's be real, if I was 9 stone, I would look really ill and I think even at 12.5, I feel I wouldn't want to lose any more. Overall my goal is to get to 13 stone (182lbs) by my 23rd birthday in March.

Food wise, I am going back to eating home cooked meals, controlling my snacking and just being generally good. I think without the diet to go with it, the shred will just be useless.

My puppy, Bug will be able to go outside in the next three weeks, so before then I am going to try and get back in the swing of walking also. Unfortunately, I don't have any workout gear suitable for the British winter, so I may just have to do it in my pjs? This is something I am going to have to find a way of sorting before I can actually start. Although, with Xmas coming up, work out stuff for myself is the last thing I can afford to spend my few pennies on. I'm going to ask for a pair of Zaggora Hot pants for Crimbo. I want a pair so, so much and the results just look amazing!!

Anywhoo, I seem to have rambled for quite some time about my goals.
If you guys would like to follow my journey, make sure to check back every Friday evening. If you would like to join me, send me a cheeky tweet @whenflowersfall using the hastag 'Fridayfitday' and we can keep each other motivated.

Hi my lovelies!

I chose last week to change the layout of Friday Fitday to videos, but seeing as I'm in London as you read this, this post has been written today (Thursday) so I didn't miss a week.

I've been feeling great about this whole thing this week. I've been sticking within my calorie limit and I haven't actually felt hungry very often. It just goes to show that I don't need to eat the ton of junk food that I was choosing to eat before.
Below is a few examples of what I have been eating. I've found eating an egg for breakfast has keep me fuller for longer, and I'm really enjoying mushrooms too.

Bluetooth Folder6

I may a huge decision this week to do something I have wanted to do for a really long time.
I am now no longer eating red meat. For the time being I am only going to be eating fish and chicken, but eventually I will be completely pescatarian. The only reason I am still eating chicken for the time being is because we have a whole ton of it in our freezer, and I don't think liam could finish it himself without living off of it for the next four weeks. Once it's gone, it's gone.
So far I'm not missing the meat, but I think that will come with time and it will become a real challenge. A challenge I am ready to tackle head on.

Exercise wise, I haven't made a huge effort. I've been pretty run down on my new tablets, but as soon as my body has adjusted to them I'll be starting the 30 day shred.

Starting weight - 216.4lbs
This weeks weight (as of Thursday) - 213.6lbs

Weight + or -
- 2.8lbs

How have you guys done this week?

Howdy, folks!

So here it is! This is how Friday Fitday is going to be from now on.
I wanted to start weekly updates on my YouTube channel so I figured, why not just post the video on here too.

EDIT - For anyone looking to catch up, or rewatch this video. I have had to remove it from both here and my youtube for legal reasons. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to the company I had mentioned for any issues the video may have caused.

Friday, 24 August 2012

Hi my lovelies!

It has been a super long time since I last did one of these.
If you watched my recent ramble video, you will already know that I lost all motivation and I was having a real hard time trying to stay on top of it all.

After a few days this week of healthy eating, I had a break through today.
A week ago I was given a pair of the Glamorous Disco pants. They are a size 14, a size smaller than what I am. Also, the website advises to get a size larger than you would normally wear anyway. Meaning I would need a size 18. Eeek.

But! Even though last Saturday, I couldn't get them all the way up, today I tried again and they fit!!!
It was a little struggle to get them on, but I'm putting that down to the fact that they are extremely tight fitting, but once they were done up they were sooooo comfy!
As you can see below, I have rather large hips and thighs! I grew up walking everywhere (mum doesn't drive,) so I know they're not going to get much smaller, they carry a lot of muscle that just needs toning up.

I am so happy today, its unreal. It means what I am doing is paying off, somehow.
I may have not lost a ton of weight, I'm still hovering at 214lbs, but I guess I may be losing inches.

So, that being said, as of next week. I am going to start measuring. Hopefully that way I won't get so frustrated if I continue to stay on my plateau, and I may actually stay motivated if I see some kind of numbers going down.

I'm going to continue on my journey, and next week I will start a video diary every Friday, also.
I hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday week end!

Now I bet that you're all getting pretty sick of me saying over and over that I am going to start again with this whole weight loss thing.
Well, this week I really did. In the past five days I've walked ten miles, and that includes a day off from walking yesterday. (So really it's four days.) These are ten miles I wouldn't normally walk,  four hours I would have normal spent sitting on my butt.

I have to admit, I'm absolutely loving it. I really thought that it would feel like a chore and that it'd become boring. Each day I've tried to push myself a little further, the first couple of days I walked two miles and felt knackered, Wednesday I walked half a mile extra, uphill. Again, I was pooped but I felt good for it. Today though, I walked three miles and I feel amazing. I got to about two and a half and felt like pushing on for the little extra bit, and I'm really glad I did.

The only reason I've never done this before is because I thought it would fill up too much of my day, but truth is, I was only out for an hour today. I've even cleaned my house top to bottom, filmed a video and now I'm writing this post too.

Eating wise, I've filled up on salads and fruit. I've eaten a lot less than I usually would and even though I haven't necessarily lots any weight this week, I feel so much better in myself.

I'm hoping to feel much more toned and a lot more fit.
I can truely say that I have turned a corner and I won't be giving up this time.

Hi my lovelies,
Yesterday my good pal Sarah and I went on a trek up the hill in town. We ended up finding a public bridle path and decided it was a great place to take some outfit photos.

I had a really bad time looking back at these photos. These are first photos of myself where I've really seen how much weight I have gained. Like I said in my last outfit post, I am still proud of my curves, I've just never really noticed how big I actually look.
Thankfully, I am on my big health kick and so far I have walked 7 miles this week, 7 miles I wouldn't normally walk. Hopefully this'll pay off and I will feel much more toned and a little slimmer.

If you haven't already noticed, I have added a new advert/button over to the right there. Two bloggers, Sophia and Sandra are venturing into a new chapter of their life by trying to lose 90lbs.
I urge you all to go and follow their new blog and support them in their journey. I am right behind them, and doing it with them in my own little way. This means that Friday Fitday posts will become regular again, I am no longer slacking, and I really mean business. (Yes, I know I've said that a hundred times. This time it's for real.)

If any of you guys have some healthy meal ideas or exercise tips. Make sure to leave them in the comments below.
Hope you guys are well!

P.S. Here's a little summat summat to make you chuckle.

Time for the weekly weigh-in.

This week I've LOST 4.4LBS!!!!

Yaaaay!! Finally a loss instead of a gain. I've had to really cut down on the crap, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I have to admit I've been a bit naughty every so often but it obviously hasn't been effecting me.
I honestly can't say I've done a whole lot of exercise this week, but we have found a new house to move into. So of course me being the keen bean that I am, I've already started ripping my flat apart and started packing. We probably won't be in the new place for another 4 weeks though. Haha. That being said, I think it may be doing some good because I'm not sitting down too much during the day.
I'm going to try and continue on the path I'm on and hopefully next week I can come back to you guys and announce another loss.

Here's the honest part.
Height  - 5ft 11"
Highest Weight - 216.2lbs
New Weight - 211.8lbs

Hat - ???
Top - Originally from George at Asda, DIY by me
Leggings - Originally from Primark, Dyed a darker colour by me.

I'm off out to view a house today, so I thought I should go with an outfit less in your face than the last one I posted. Obviously, I couldn't go without a cross though. Believe it or not, this was the first top I ever DIY-ed and I'm still in love with it. You can find out HERE how I did it.
The leggings were originally a light brown, almost skin colour. (Why I ever bought them, I don't know!) I tried to dye the black the other day along with another pair and they both failed to take the dye, luckily these have turned a little darker which means I am more than happy to wear them now.
I'm finally feeling more and more confident in myself to post OOTDs. My weightloss is going well and I'm still looking forward to seeing a smaller me in OOTDs of the future. Make sure to follow my Friday Fitday posts to see how I'm getting on.
Have any of you guys got any favourite DIY's you can link me to?

Hi Lovelies!
It's update time....
This week hasn't been the best of weeks, if I'm completely honest. I've spent the majority of it thinking about food and trying to get my head in the right frame of mind to get started.
Saying that, I have lost 2lbs!
It's a great start, especially when I wasn't really trying at all. I'd like to think that I can keep at a steady pace and I'd be totally happy if 2lbs a week became a regular thing. Obviously I'd love to lose more but at least this way it is steady and more likely to stay off.
This week I am working on my eating, I need to try and change the way I see food. When my depression was at its worst I went to food for comfort, hence more weight gain. The only problem is, I still do it, on my bad days I just want to eat and this really needs to change.
As much as I love all food, bread and other starchy carbs are most definitely my downfall. I'm going to try and have the most carbs in my morning meal. Hopefully this way it will curb my cravings and keep me from reaching for them for the rest of the day. Lunch, I'm working on having smoothies, cramming in my fruits and veggies, beacuse this is another thing I struggle with. Dinner will just be as healthy as the kitchen cupboards will allow.
The pictures above are me at my goal weight, I say goal weight because I'm actually not sure of exactly how much I weighed at that time. (I'm guessing at about 180lbs-ish?) This was four years ago, and as you can see I have visible collar bones and a flat tum tum. (The photo's also make me want a holiday and a tan!! Is is right to be jealous of yourself?)
Anywhoooo, this is what I am striving to get back to! I need to get back to this. My confidence was at its highest, I had no body hang-ups and I felt so happy. I know I shouldn't think of me being slim as the reason I was happy, but I honestly think that if I could get to that point again, I would be so much happier.
Exercise wise, I'm going to try and up my activities. Planning walks, trying to complete the 30 days shred again and maybe even a bit of kick boxing.

If any of you would like to join me on this journey to a happier and healthy self, leave me a comment down below or tweet me @SamanthaJane_01, and we can work at this together!
