wfflybp, fitness, health, watches, lifestyle, whenflowersfall,

So, now that our motivation for this healthy lifestyle has made a total comeback, I'm on the hunt for a fitness watch. The problem is, is that there are so many to choose from.
Obviously each watch comes with different features, some connecting to an app to track your data. I just don't know which to choose.
I'd like something that will track my calories burnt, throughout the day, but also during a workout; anything else would be a bonus. My sleep hasn't been great recently, so I'm thinking one that can track my sleep pattern would be great too.

I'm leaning towards the Fitbit Charge HR. Purely as you don't have to wear a chest strap to track your heart rate. My other choice is the Polar A3000, but unlike the fitbit, you have to wear the chest strap whilst exercising. I can see this becoming something I wold forget, or get bored of putting on.
The only other big difference I can see, is the price. I think I'd be willing to pay a little more, for better functionality.

Gone are the days of me lusting over a fancy Marc Jacobs watch. This is the new obsession.
So, which one would you pick? Is there another that I'm missing that may be a better fit?

Goals. Things I don't set very often, but have suddenly felt the urge to recently.

July has been a funny old month. Yet again, weight loss hasn't happened. I've been dotting between two pounds all month; but I have felt somewhat good about my body. I've had moments of frequent exercise, and I've found my love for being active again. It just makes me feel great. Food wise, I haven't been so good. I've pigged out on many occasions, and I feel that's the reason for a halt in weight loss. I see my lowest weight (currently 205lbs) and then think it's ok to over indulge for three days after. Then of course, it shoots back up.

Screen Shot 2015-08-01 at 15.45.46

I did on the other hand, see the photo above this month. I'm pretty sure I don't look like that anymore, I just need to tell my brain that. I never want to look like that again.

theWFFloveyourbodyproject, health, healthy lifestyle, lifestyle, weight loss, whenflowersfall,

So, the goals...

- No weigh in's this month!
If I don't know how well I'm doing, I can't give myself an excuse to pig out. I'm hoping this will mean I can get over the 200lb hurdle.

- Exercise 5 times a week.
I would love to be an everyday kinda girl, but I just don't think it's realistic. Each week has hard days, and sometimes you just have to get into bed yourself once the baby is asleep.

- Buy a new dress that makes you feel amazing!
I'm actually having a night out with the girls at the beginning of September, so I need to find a cracking outfit. But what does a twenty five year old, mum of one wear on a night out these days. I can't get past the sea of crop tops and body con dresses that I keep seeing.

- Only one lazy PJ day a week.
I've fallen back into the habit of not getting dressed if I don't have to. It doesn't make you feel good, and it doesn't do much for your confidence. Time to nip it in the bud.

I also introduced WFFLYBP over on my channel today. If you would like to see me ramble on for a little while about why I'm doing this, click the link below.

So what are your goals for August. Leave a comment below.

theWFFloveyourbodyproject, fitness, health, lifestyle, weightloss, confidence, self confidence,

Ok, ok. So I have been really letting myself slip on this recently; and we are in the seventh month of this year already!!
I admit, I haven't really been trying to lose weight, but I also haven't felt overly insecure about my body recently either. That is a huge step in the right direction on this journey to body confidence.

For the past few updates, I've really gone on about losing weight; but I've realised this month that it's so much more than that. Confidence doesn't come from dropping a few pounds alone.
So, in a bid to start feeling more like myself recently, I've dyed my hair pink and gotten in touch with a tattoo artist. These are things I've been wanting to do again for a very long time, but just kept putting off. I'm currently waiting for some designs to drop into my inbox, and then hopefully I'll be getting all booked in for a couple of new pieces to make a start on my sleeve.

Wardrobe is another thing I am slowly working on. I almost always talk about how I'm still wearing the same clothes I wore throughout my pregnancy, and that is slowly but surely changing. I've bought a fair few new pieces recently, and I'm on the verge of having a huge wardrobe clear out. I just want to make sure that I'm not doing to leave myself with not a lot to wear by doing it.
So with that being said, weight loss is still a big factor in this project. As much as I haven't felt overly self conscious recently, I also haven't lost any weight. I'm still hovering around the same 206lbs point that I was at in January.
In a bid to kick start the weight loss again, I have downloaded the Value diary app. It's 'not in connection with any weight loss plan', but it's basically the Weight Watchers ProPoints system. I'm using this along side MyFitnessPal and hoping to see some progress soon.

theWFFloveyourbodyproject, fitness, health, lifestyle, weightloss, confidence, self confidence,

Exercise wise, I've lost my mojo. Until yesterday, when I felt a huge burst of inspiration. I've set myself a goal of cycling 10km five times a week, and doing some arm weights where ever I feel like I can squeeze some in. I'm definitely not the biggest lover of exercise, but I do know that I always feel incredibly good after I've completed a workout.

I think I'll leave the update at that for now. Hopefully next month I can tell you that I've lost some pounds and booked in for some new skin art.
If you do want to follow me on this journey more closely, you can follow my health and fitness instagram account - @wffloveyourbodyproject.
It's mostly a food diary, but I really want to start incorporating more of what this project is all about into it.

Self confidence is what counts.

It's been a while. Actually, a really long while since I put in some real effort for this years body confidence project.
I'm blaming the fact that we have been insanely busy of the past couple of months, but the reality is, is that I totally could have made time for it if I had even tried a little.
As of tomorrow, we will have been in our new home a month. I think that means it's finally time to stop procrastinating and get back on it.

I guess I've not really had much time to think about my relationship with my body recently, but in the past couple of weeks I've had those horrible feeling of self hate creeping back in. I've actually only gained back 3lbs, so in the grand scheme of things, I'm still down about 40lbs from my heaviest (pregnancy) weight. I think my issue right now is that I just see squishy. I feel a little bit too fluffy for my liking.

At the beginning of this year I gave myself twelve months to finally feel what true body confidence felt like. I want to be able to say that I love my body on New Years eve. I have six months left and I'm nowhere near close.

From this point on I am going to plan meals, exercise (if only a little) evening night, and start to look after myself again. I'm excited for it.
I'm really looking forward to toning up a bit and introducing lots of fruit and veggies back into my diet.

So this is where I am at this point (Left). I can see some improvement, but it's very little. By December, I'd like to see a bigger difference.

I intend on writing an update at the end of each month until my 'deadline', so you can expect a little catch up from me at the end of July.

If you want to join me on this journey, don't forget you can use the hashtag #theWFFloveyourbodyproject on Twitter and Instagram. You can also follow my journey to body happiness over on my Instagram account @wffloveyourbodyproject.

So, March. This was the month I knew would be tough; and it was.
Not only was it the month of my first ever Mother's Day, it was also the month that contained a bagillion birthdays. Due to all of these celebrations, this project had not been in the front of my mind and I've eaten a lot of junk.

I weighed myself a week and a half ago and the damage showed to be a lovely 6lb gain. At that point I gave myself two weeks to lose it again and to get back to my lowest of 206lbs. At this Monday's weigh in, I had managed to lose 3.8lbs. Not too shabby. Fingers crossed I can continue to lose this week, me see that nice low (for me) on the scales, this coming Monday.

theWFFloveyourbodyproject, love your body, fitness, health, weight loss, instagram,

The other big thing for the past month has been the launch of my #wfflybp Instagram account. I didn't want to flood my main accounts feed with food pictures anymore, so I created a new one. I've not been so great with being consistent, but that's something I'm working on this coming month.
I've also started a #30daykickstart mini series today. The goal is to do something each day this month that gets you moving. You don't necessarily have to do a full work out; just something that will increase your heart rate a little. Today I cycled almost 10k whilst Scout napped, and other things I plan to include long walks with the dog, quick bursts of hula hopping, or maybe even some crazy dancing with Scout. I want this month to be the month I create some new habits, kick start the weight loss again and start to feel good about my body again.
If you want to join in, use the hashtag, or just follow my journey; you can at @wffloveyourbodyproject on Instagram.

There are many things happening in the next couple of months, that may just hinder progress, but I can try and do my best, and that's all that matters.

So now...it's time.
I've thought long and hard about this, and I feel now is the time to share my 'before' photos..
These were taken a few months back and have been sitting in a folder on my imac, untouched. I don't like to look at them, but I feel like it's important that I do. I'm going to use them as my motivation.
In these photos I weighed 210lbs, so only a couple of lbs more than I am now, so really not much has changed.
(Note - please be nice. I'm so nervous to actually post these.)

I plan to take progress photos at the end of April, August and then December. Four months between each set, I hope to see some king of difference. Obviously, the April ones won't show huge progress, but that doesn't matter.

I hope you are all doing really well. Let me know if you are following the love your body project, or if you have set your own health and fitness goals this year. I'd love to follow your journeys.

Remember, the WFF love your body project isn't all about weightloss. It's about finding confidence and love for your own body. It's doesn't matter if you lose weight, gain weight, tone up, or just become more confident in yourself. It's about being able to say that you love your body at the end of 2015.

Happy Wednesday, flowers.
First off I want to apologise for being a tad MIA this week, thus far. All will be explained in this post.

So, as I explained last week, Liam has been sick with some horrid virus, and muggins here picked it up. Luckily I haven't got it as bad as him. He's still suffering three weeks on and has now resigned to the fact that he has to go to work no matter what. That's the joy of being self employed. No sick pay.

This week I've not done as great on the food side. I haven't reached for fruits and veggies as much as I'd have liked to and I have definitely made bad choices. Especially when it comes to eating meat. I'm never going to give it up if I reach for a greasy Burger King when I'm feeling down.
Exercise wise, I said last week that I wanted to have at least one workout under my belt by today. And that's exactly what I have. I only cycled for twenty minutes, but it's better than nothing in my eyes. But, boy oh boy, am I unfit.
As I'm started to feel better, I have to add that the days aren't that bad, this virus seems to like the mornings and nights; I would like to get two sessions down this week. My moods have been insanely low again this week, missing family and friends, Liam being back at work. Exercise seems to help that, so I really do want to make a conscious effort to get more active.

I haven't done so well with my food diary this week, most days I've *read not* remembered to fill in myfitnesspal, but not take the photos. I will post what I have below though.

That being said, this week I weighed in at 212.4lbs. A loss of  2.2lbs!! How I've managed that, I'm unsure. I was really expecting a gain, but I'm not going to think about it too much and just be happy with the result.

#FridayFitness - Inches not Pounds

Hi flowers!

You didn't see me this time last week, and I'm sorry for that. After finding yet again, that I hadn't shifted anything, I was having an incredibly low body day.
I would be the same today if it wasn't for something my mum said to me.
At the beginning of this series, you may remember that I not only told you my start weight, but also my measurements. Again, this week I have stayed the same. 229lbs seems to be a plateau for me; I've lost 5 lbs and now I'm struggling to get over this hurdle.
I did decided to whip out my tape measure again this week though. Mum had told me not to stress too much about the number on the scales, something I had been doing, and she also told me to keep track of my measurements. To my surprise, I have lost what I would say is a pretty surprising amount. Underneath is the measurements I started off with, and this weeks measurements in purple.

Weight - 234 lbs 229lbs -5lbs
Upper arms
(r) -  42cm  39cm  -3cm
(l)- 39cm 37cm  -2cm
Thighs
(r) -  71cm  70cm  -1cm
(l)- 73cm 74cm  +1cm
Bust - 106cm 101cm  -5cm
Waist -90cm 85cm  -5cm
Hips - 129cm 125cm  -4cm

Looking at the results, I'm not feeling as low as I would have if I hadn't of measured. I'm actually feeling pretty good about it all.
Liam and I have started making weekly meal plans, only shopping once a week for the food we need for those meals. So far, it seems to be working and we've nearly gone an entire week without ordering a take-away. Which I'm ashamed to say, will probably be the first time in roughly 8 or 9 months. Funnily enough, we think it might not only help our waistlines, but also our bank accounts too. Bonus!
Cycling wise, I'm struggling. My problem knee joints are playing up something rotten, and I'm only managing to do 15-20k twice a week at the moment.
I'm hoping as the weight starts to fall off again, my knees will feel better and I can up my game again.

Keep your eyes peeled for a follow up review on the running shoes I received next week.
I've been living in them.

Hi flowers!
I hope you have all had a great week.
I'm starting this weeks post off with a little 'first impressions' review for you.
I was very lucky to receive a pair of amazing running shoes from Hi-Tec and I wanted to share them with you before I got them all worn in.
In a few weeks time, I'll come back and give you a full review of how they wear and such.

Pictures21
The shoes I received are the Luna running shoe in black and pink.
The colours are amazing, and not too in your face. I feel if you're a night runner, then you need not worry about wearing these black trainers, as the bright pink on these will make sure that you are seen easily.
The shoes themselves are super lightweight at only 210g, and they are incredibly flexible. The reduced seam upper makes the shoe very streamline and insanely comfortable.
Inside, the shoes boast EVA sockliner for cushioning, giving that little extra bonus for comfort.
Pictures3
So far, I'm in love with these shoes. I have reasonably wide feet, and sometimes trainers like this can feel a little squishy on my poor little toes; but these beauties just nicely hug the foot making you feel secure and supported.
On first impression, I would recommend these to anyone. Hopefully I can still say the same in a couple of weeks time. So keep your eyes peeled for that update.
(As a teeny added note, I really liked the little thank you in the lid of the box from the chairman of the company.)
You can find them and the rest of the fabulous range of shoes, here.
Pictures4

This weeks update.

Everything has seem to have gone to pot this week.
If you're a guy reading this, you may want to skip a couple of lines, but ladies, you may feel my pain.
After a month missing a period and thinking I may have been pregnant a few months ago, my body has felt the need to spring two incredibly harsh 'lady times' on me in the past six weeks. One of them being this past week. I've been experiencing pains that I haven't felt since I was a teenager and it's totally thrown me off my game.
(BOY SAFE AS OF NOW)
I've also made a ton of bad choices this week. My non meat eating ways got forgotten and I'm not proud to say that. But, I am back on it as of today as I went to bed last night feeling incredibly guilty.
My other bad health choice has been that I picked up a cig or two at the beginning of the week due to stress, and of course now I am struggling to forget about them. So, once again I am battling that little addiction I've got going on. After two months smoke free, I'm pretty disappointed in myself.
Exercise wise, I have tested out the trainers above and managed to do a 20k bike ride on Wednesday, but then proceeded to eat a huge meal with family that night, and my motivation was lost as of then.
I've been on a pretty big downer this week, but I'm not letting myself worry about it too much now. What's done is done. But, I can make sure that this week I make a real effort.
Tomorrow will be day one of an exercise every day week. I felt amazing after that one bike ride, and I'm interested to see how I feel and what results I have at the end of the week, if I make it a regular thing.
Maybe exercise is what I need to keep my mood up. Endorphins and all that.
Unfortunately day one would have been today, but I'm writing this tucked up in my bed sick.

I hope you have had a better week than me.
Don't forget to check out the #FridayFitness pages below, and I shall leave you with this weeks #ff video update.

Hi flowers!

So I'm two weeks into the vegetarian chapter of my life. I'm happy to say that I think I've done pretty well considering I just decided one day to give up meat. The only thing that I did allow myself to have, which I said I would anyway, was a small portion of sushi from Asda.

This week though, has been a tough one. I've found myself craving meat like a mad woman and I even fell asleep thinking of steak on Wednesday night. Yup, sounds crazy, but it's true. Because of this I have decided to allow myself fish/seafood for a while, which will hopefully mean that I won't cave and stuff my face with beef one day.
I'm not sure if it will become a forever thing, but for now I think it's best for me.
I cannot tell you how much willpower I had to use not to make a sausage sarnie. Liam's been away this week and I, unfortunately had no petrol in the car to go to the shop to buy some veggie sausies.

Other than that, I need to cut down on the things that I've started to replace meat with. I've found myself reaching for cheese far to often and I imagine it's one of the reasons that I haven't lost much weight in the past two weeks.
I've only lost a pound since my last weigh in with you guys and I really feel the need to step up my game, so I've made this to spur me on...

Photo 09-08-2013 13 18 10
These two jars are now sitting on my shelf until behind my desk. You may be able to see them every now and then in my videos.
The 'lbs to go' jar originally had 50 glass stones in it, a stone for each pound I would like to lose. As you can see, it's now missing a few and they are happily sitting in the 'lbs lost' jar.

I'm hoping that now I have something visual to keep me going, I may be able to keep up my motivation.
There's no feeling like moving a glass bead from one jar to the other.
Today I'll be moving one more over and in my eyes, it's better than nothing.

Start weight...
234lbs
This week...
229lbs
-5lbs

ps - I'm looking for some good quality, affordable sportswear. If you have any recommendations please leave them in the comments. If I do get my hands on some, I'll do some reviews for you guys. :)

#FridayFitness

Hey beauts!

I have been dying to write this post all week.
After what seems like forever at staying the same weight, I am pleased to say that the number on the scales is finally going down.

On Monday I started drinking a different brand of shakes. I generally have 2 a day, a meal in the evening and some light snacks throughout the day. Evenings are the hardest and I tend to find myself more hungry and craving bad stuff in the later hours. But, luckily I am getting better at the whole will power thing.

Exercise wise I have been on my stationary bike for an hour a day, with a rest day yesterday. I have cycled a total of 31 miles so far this week and I plan on getting another ten done today once I've finished with all of my housey duties.

So, on to the important bit. I haven't had time to measure as of yet, I'm going to get Liam to help me this evening as it gets a little fiddly.

This weeks stats...
Weight - 229.8 lbs -4.6lbs
Upper arms (r) -  cm  (l)- cm
Thighs (r) -  cm  (l)-cm
Bust - cm
Waist -cm
Hips - cm

I shall update the rest as soon as I have the figures. Generally I don't feel like I have lost much in way of cm but I so happy with the nearly 5lbs off!

How are you all getting on?

Bringing #FridayFitness Back!

Hi beauts,

I am so sorry for not posting for so long. I fell off the wagon, a lot of life things happened and I'm finally ready to hop back on it. I've gained a ridiculous amount of weight and I'm now tipping the scales at 234lbs.
Jeez that is so scary to me.

When I look in the mirror I don't see it, but if I see a photo of myself, it's there, staring right back at me, and I hate it.

Liam and I were planning on getting married July next year, and apart from being far from prepared/have no money, I wouldn't be happy walking down the aisle this big.
I'm giving myself a year to drop 2 dress sizes. That's all. I don't want to be a super skinny size 8, because it just wouldn't suit my height. But, I do think that being a size 12 again would at least make me feel good about myself again. I'm not too worried about what the scales say, but to drop a good 30lbs would make me incredibly happy.

My plan of action...

To begin with I am going to focus on eating the right foods. With moving and everything else that has gone on, we have found it far to easy too call a takeaway and we have literally been living off of junk. It's become a horrid addiction as both Liam and I find it difficult if we go without lots of carbs of sugar for too long.
As of today I am currently drinking 2 meal replacement shakes and eating a good healthy dinner. I'm upping my protein, and lowering my carb intake. My sister has just become a Herbalife coach and has done incredible on it herself, so once we have sorted our bills and such like out, I'm hoping to change my shakes to those. They are rather pricey. If it comes to it and we still can't afford Herbalife, then I will continue with the maxitone shakes I am drinking at the moment.
Side note - Banana is waaaay better than chocolate!

Shortly after our move I purchased an exercise bike and I'll be doing an hour's worth of cycling a day. It's scary, but at the moment I am finding it really difficult walking long distances. My leg muscles seize up all the time and make it really painful. I'm hoping that'll get better once I actually start working those muscles again; and being able to do that on a stationary bike in my own home is brilliant because it means no-one will see my 'oh my god this hurts face' and won't think that I'm a morning drunk. (I cannot walk in a straight line when it happens.)

If you want to join in...

- I shall be posting a new #FridayFitness post every Friday. I'll make it my weigh in day so anything and everything will be tracked. I will be tracking my weight, but more importantly, I shall be whipping out my tape measure every Friday morning also.
Feel free to write about #FridayFitness yourself and link it in the comments below, or if you like just let me know what you are doing and how you are getting on.
- You can use the hashtag on twitter and I will check it weekly and reply to any tweets.
- I also have a Tumblr dedicated to this here.
- I have a Facebook group in which you can join here.
 - I may also turn this into a Youtube series over on my vlog channel, but I'll let you guys know in the future if this happens.

Starting Stats...

Weight - 234 lbs
Upper arms (r) -  42cm  (l)- 39cm
Thighs (r) -  71cm  (l)- 73cm
Bust - 106cm
Waist -90cm
Hips - 129cm
Anywho, hopefully some time in the future, I will feel confident enough to post a 'before' photo. But not right now.
Let me know if you decide to follow me on this journey!
xoxo

Friday, 1 March 2013

Well, hello there.

I decided not to include an update last week as mother nature was visiting, and if I'm completely honest, I felt like utter poo poo.

This week I haven't eaten brilliantly and I'm feeling really guilty about it.
It always happens towards the end of the month, whenever money is starting to get a little low.
But, yesterday was pay day, and I relished in buying tons of fruit and veggies, ready for a week of smoothies.

I've done this before, I lost a bit of weight, but the bigger advantage was that I felt amazing for it.
This time I'm not going as hard with it as I did before. Last time I was having 4 or 5 smoothies a day and nothing else. It was bloody hard.
This time I've decided to have 2 or 3 smoothies a day, and a small evening meal.

Weight wise, I'm still sitting at 217lbs, the same place I was last time I weighed in.
I'm hoping this will get me off this plateau and help me lose a little before my birthday.

This mornings smoothie consisted of
four strawberries
half a mango
a handful of spinach
almond milk
natural sweetener

It honestly looked disgusting, but tasted amazing.

If you're a fan of smoothies, please leave your favourite combos in the comments below and I'll be sure to try them out.

Friday, 15 February 2013

Hello, my lovelies!

This week has been the first week I have been able to put a huge effort into this, since being incredibly ill.

Eating wise, I've kept within my Myfitnesspal limits, and I haven't actually been too hungry. I imagined I would be forever scouring the fridge and cheating left, right and center. But, so far so good.
That's not to say that I haven't had moments of hungriness, but it's been nice being able to eat when I'm hungry, not just because I want to/feel like it. This way I know that I'm eating for a purpose.

Exercise wise, I have started walking again. After my chest infection, it's been pretty hard going on the old breathing, but I've done 3 miles every other day so far. I'm hoping to get into a routine of doing it at least five times a week, meaning I will be walking 15 miles more than I would have last month.
3 miles usually takes me about an hour, so it really doesn't take up much time in my day. If I get up and do it first thing in the morning after breakfast, I find it doesn't interfere with anything else I plan on doing that day.

My official starting weight was 220lb.
I went down to 208lbs the week after I suffered with norovirus, but I have a funny feeling that I managed to put all of that weight back on, once my normal eating/binging cycle had returned. So I'm going back to my starting weight and working from that.

My weight today is 217.3 lbs.
I'm happy with that. It's healthy weight loss, so hopefully something that will stay off.
Also, does anyone else find that special occasion days always fall the day before weigh in?

Below I have included a little mini post that I thought may interest some of you.

As well as the bits above, there is also a great selection of sports bras and other joggers.
I picked out the more fitting bottoms, such as the yoga pants and 3/4 length legging style.
I love the fact that for the most part, the sportswear is black, but it does have some great pops of colour. Solid coral tops are also available.

Hiatus_large
I spent a lot of time thinking about this last night.
As you all know, I have a few health issues, one of course being my depression.
This week I have begun taking some new medication and either side effects are hitting me hard, or they aren't working their magic yet.
I don't want to lie to you guys, and I know that I shouldn't have to explain myself, but I've been having a lot of downs rather than ups recently. It's affecting a lot of my life at the minute, including my relationship.
As much as I love blogging and youtube, I feel like I need to take some time out let my new meds start working, and/or find a way to help myself. It's been a long two year journey on the depression train and I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall at the minute. It can get very tiring fighting something like this all of the time.
I don't know if it will be a week or more than that, but I hope you guys will continue reading When Flowers Fall when I get back.
And I promise, I will be back.

In the meantime, you could always pop over and visit my February Advertisers!
All three ladies are absolutely lovely, and fabulous at what they do.
I am an avid reader of all of their blogs and I think you could be to.

Well, halllooo there!

tumblr_m91a8yrTcx1rd6a2xo1_500

Any who, you know last week I said I would be on day 7 of the shred by now? Ummmm.....yeah...fail! I totally forgot how bad my back gets when I actually start exercising, so although I haven't given up, I have taken a few days off to get some proper sleep and rest my back. I'm not too sure what it actually is, I think it may be an old work injury flaring up again, or it may even be a trapped nerve. Either way, it's bloody painful.
I am doing my next shred tomorrow, which will be day five.

So far I feel good, the shred has definitely felt easier each day I've done it. More hurting, more sweating, but certainly less out of breath. If all is well, I hope to complete a full week this week. I've discovered that it's amazingly difficult to do with a nine week old puppy in the room though. Haha. Picture Bug sitting on my stomach or chewing my hair/face whilst trying to do the abs section.

I haven't lost any weight yet, neither have I lost anything inch wise, but I am beginning to feel less bloated and frumpy. I know it's sad, but I always get a little excited when I can see the beginnings of collar bones. I feel way more feminine.

I imagine you're wondering what my measurements are by now, so without further a do, these are my beginning stats.

Arms - 14" (36cm)
Chest - 41" (104cm)
Waist - 36" (91.5cm)
Hips/Bum - 48" (122cm) Yup, I gots a big toosh.
Thighs - 27.5" (70.5cm)

I've decided not to be so hung up on the numbers on the scale, but more on the the numbers above. As the picture below says, it's not always weightloss that makes you smaller.

Hopefully by next week I can give you more of a progress update.
If you missed my announcement on Twitter earlier this week, you can now follow me on My Fitness Pal at Whenflowersfall. There you will be able to keep up with me daily and check in on my food diaries too. If you do add me and you see I haven't filled in my dairy for the day, please yell at me because I keep on forgetting!!

I hope you are all doing well with your goals! Make sure you keep me updated!!

Hi my lovelies!

I chose last week to change the layout of Friday Fitday to videos, but seeing as I'm in London as you read this, this post has been written today (Thursday) so I didn't miss a week.

I've been feeling great about this whole thing this week. I've been sticking within my calorie limit and I haven't actually felt hungry very often. It just goes to show that I don't need to eat the ton of junk food that I was choosing to eat before.
Below is a few examples of what I have been eating. I've found eating an egg for breakfast has keep me fuller for longer, and I'm really enjoying mushrooms too.

I may a huge decision this week to do something I have wanted to do for a really long time.
I am now no longer eating red meat. For the time being I am only going to be eating fish and chicken, but eventually I will be completely pescatarian. The only reason I am still eating chicken for the time being is because we have a whole ton of it in our freezer, and I don't think liam could finish it himself without living off of it for the next four weeks. Once it's gone, it's gone.
So far I'm not missing the meat, but I think that will come with time and it will become a real challenge. A challenge I am ready to tackle head on.

Exercise wise, I haven't made a huge effort. I've been pretty run down on my new tablets, but as soon as my body has adjusted to them I'll be starting the 30 day shred.

Starting weight - 216.4lbs
This weeks weight (as of Thursday) - 213.6lbs

Weight + or -
- 2.8lbs

How have you guys done this week?

Howdy, folks!

So here it is! This is how Friday Fitday is going to be from now on.
I wanted to start weekly updates on my YouTube channel so I figured, why not just post the video on here too.

EDIT - For anyone looking to catch up, or rewatch this video. I have had to remove it from both here and my youtube for legal reasons. I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to the company I had mentioned for any issues the video may have caused.

PicturesNow you guys know that normally on a Monday I post a make-up look. Well I didn't want to bore you with yet another make-up less face, so I decided to do another little fitness post.
On Friday I said that I had neglected walking and I really did feel incredibly guilty, so I've just completed three miles for today and I couldn't be happier about it.

I'm most definitely missing the few things above though.  My poor four year old trainers just aren't cutting it anymore, as a matter of fact the only thing they are cutting are my heels.
Headphones wise, I most certainly need an over ear pair, inner ear ones just don't work for me and I end up getting a headache.
I already have one sports bra but if I'm going to really get into this training thing, then I need to make sure my ladies are supported and I could probably do with another one.
Now, I know it's probably not a necessity, but I would love to have a water bottle that isn't so hard to hold, especially for an hour straight. Have you ever tried walking, holding onto a plastic shop bought bottle for an hour? It's hard and I always have to swap hands.
Last thing I could do with is an arm band for my iPod classic. I'm currently stuffing it down my bra as I walk and if I'm honest, it's not very comfy or practical.

Apart from that, I think I'm pretty set to get back into it and hopefully in the next few weeks I'll be walking a lot more. I'm hoping by the beginning of September I can walk five miles a day without batting an eyelid. I'm only planning on walking five days a week, so that would add up to a nice twenty five miles a week, and a whopping hundred miles a month. Now, I know it's not exactly Olympics worthy, but it would be a bloody great thing for me. Having never been a physical/sporty type, I think it's time I change my ways.

Have you guys got any walking/running tips for me?

The Big Health Kick Reveal!
Last week I said that I would reveal my next step into fitness land!
Yetserday Liam and I started juicing! We recently watched Fat, Sick and Nearly dead and it really inspired us to try it. Unlike the film, we aren't doing an entire fast, we are in fact replacing two meals a days with juice and having one super healthy meal. We're still snacking, but not going crazy.
Hopefully this will kick start our bodies again and we can finally get of the plateaus we hit a few months back, and shed a few pounds in the process.

Walking wise, I haven't walked at all this week!! :( Bad Sam! I've been super anxious all week about silly things and I think it's really effected my ability to leave the house. I'm going to tackle this issue this weekend because I really can't let it start to take over my life again.
This being said I have lost a little weight and I am still feeling super motivated.
Fingers crossed I can get back on the walking and keep on with the juicing. Believe me, it's really hard and I'm sooooo hungry. But, it will pay off.

Highest weight - 218.4lbs
Last week - 216.6lbs
Today - 214.8lbs

Hope you guys have a good weekend planned!

Now I bet that you're all getting pretty sick of me saying over and over that I am going to start again with this whole weight loss thing.
Well, this week I really did. In the past five days I've walked ten miles, and that includes a day off from walking yesterday. (So really it's four days.) These are ten miles I wouldn't normally walk,  four hours I would have normal spent sitting on my butt.

I have to admit, I'm absolutely loving it. I really thought that it would feel like a chore and that it'd become boring. Each day I've tried to push myself a little further, the first couple of days I walked two miles and felt knackered, Wednesday I walked half a mile extra, uphill. Again, I was pooped but I felt good for it. Today though, I walked three miles and I feel amazing. I got to about two and a half and felt like pushing on for the little extra bit, and I'm really glad I did.

The only reason I've never done this before is because I thought it would fill up too much of my day, but truth is, I was only out for an hour today. I've even cleaned my house top to bottom, filmed a video and now I'm writing this post too.

Eating wise, I've filled up on salads and fruit. I've eaten a lot less than I usually would and even though I haven't necessarily lots any weight this week, I feel so much better in myself.

I'm hoping to feel much more toned and a lot more fit.
I can truely say that I have turned a corner and I won't be giving up this time.
