Goals. Things I don't set very often, but have suddenly felt the urge to recently.

July has been a funny old month. Yet again, weight loss hasn't happened. I've been dotting between two pounds all month; but I have felt somewhat good about my body. I've had moments of frequent exercise, and I've found my love for being active again. It just makes me feel great. Food wise, I haven't been so good. I've pigged out on many occasions, and I feel that's the reason for a halt in weight loss. I see my lowest weight (currently 205lbs) and then think it's ok to over indulge for three days after. Then of course, it shoots back up.

I did on the other hand, see the photo above this month. I'm pretty sure I don't look like that anymore, I just need to tell my brain that. I never want to look like that again.

So, the goals...

- No weigh in's this month!
If I don't know how well I'm doing, I can't give myself an excuse to pig out. I'm hoping this will mean I can get over the 200lb hurdle.

- Exercise 5 times a week.
I would love to be an everyday kinda girl, but I just don't think it's realistic. Each week has hard days, and sometimes you just have to get into bed yourself once the baby is asleep.

- Buy a new dress that makes you feel amazing!
I'm actually having a night out with the girls at the beginning of September, so I need to find a cracking outfit. But what does a twenty five year old, mum of one wear on a night out these days. I can't get past the sea of crop tops and body con dresses that I keep seeing.

- Only one lazy PJ day a week.
I've fallen back into the habit of not getting dressed if I don't have to. It doesn't make you feel good, and it doesn't do much for your confidence. Time to nip it in the bud.

I also introduced WFFLYBP over on my channel today. If you would like to see me ramble on for a little while about why I'm doing this, click the link below.

So what are your goals for August. Leave a comment below.

Oh, February. You really weren't great, were you.
This past month has not been kind to us,  I'm not going to lie to you guys. If you follow me on any kind of social media, then you will probably know the stress we went through throughout February.

Because of this, I haven't actually lost any weight at this point. Actually, that's a fib. I did manage to drop a couple of pounds at the beginning of the month, but have since put those back on through emotional eating.  Cake seemed to be my best friend this past month and I am glad to say that I am now in the right mindset to let it go again.

Confidence wise, I don't feel like I have been so down about myself recently. I've had very low moods, but I think because of all the drama with the car/money/dog etc, I haven't even thought about the way I look. Which can only be a good thing. I'm learning that it isn't that important and that even if I do feel a little frumpy one day, it's ok.
One thing I have noticed though, is how much of an effect breastfeeding has had on my chest. I purchased a couple of new bras, and I'm down a cup size compared to my pre-pregnancy size. Whomp whomp. I mean, it could actually be down to the fact that I've lost quite a bit of weight too, but I honestly feel like breastfeeding played a big part. I have certainly thought about the pro's and con's of getting a boob job to them looking young again, that's for sure.

Exercise is another thing I really wanted to focus on, but didn't. In the past few days, I have made an effort to go out with the dog, and I think that may be the right way to go. A no pressure, half an hour dog walk will do for now. If I can keep this up throughout March, then I will up my game a little for April.

I don't know if I am brave enough yet to share my 'before' photos with you guys, but I'm hoping I will have the balls next month.
It is my birthday on the 21st, so I'm sure I will induldge a little on the day, but my goal for this month is to get down to the 200lb mark. I've got my work cut out and 8lbs to drop, but I feel like I can give it a real good go now. (She says, sipping on a glass of wine.)

Don't forget you can join this project and do it with me. Use the hashtag #theWFFloveyourbodyproject on twitter or instagram, and be sure to tag me in the post also. You can follow me on both @whenflowersfall.

Wednesday Weigh-In - Holidays, weight gain and starting again.

Phew!
I really should have though about what I had coming before I started this feature a few weeks back.
In the past couple of weeks, we've been on holiday, ate awfully, (as you do when by the sea. Who doesn't love ice-creams, fresh donuts and burgers,) and indulged far too much!

Luckily for me, I only gained a couple of pounds within our weeks away, and since then I've lost double what I had gained.

That puts me currently at 218lbs.

Today, I decided to make a fresh start and put the holiday behind me. I started logging my foods again and also plan on beginning to exercise twice a week. Currently, I have set nights to work out. Those being a Tuesday and a Thursday, so I will let you know how that goes next week. I didn't end up doing anything yesterday as both Liam and I are ill with a crappy cold.

Liam has also decided to start doing this with me, which is awesome. It means we are less likely to influence the other with bad food choices and hopefully we can be each others motivation. We're also going to take our 'before' photos sometime this week. Whether or not I feel totally confident in showing them to you just yet, I don't know.
I think I described myself to Liam as 'feeling lumpy' at the weekend. It's time to get rid of some of the lumpiness.

Starting from next week I will be sharing my food diary from the week previous. So next week you will see what I have eaten from today onwards. I really need to get into the habit of photographing my food and also logging them in myfitnesspal. I find it the easiest way to keep track of what I'm eating, otherwise I end up pigging out and not really being aware of what I've eaten that day.
I know myfitness pal is quite popular, so if you use it too you can follow me here.

I've also decided to start filtering out meat. I'm fully aware of what we have in the freezer right now and I'm not one to waste food, but once that it gone I am going to eat only white meat for a little while, and then totally give up meat all together.
Once all of our white rice/pasta is gone, these will also be replaced with the wholemeal options.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some changes in the next few months, and I've set my goal at a loss of 20lbs by Christmas. At only 2lbs loss a week, I think it's totally doable if I keep my head in the right place.

I'll check in with you guys again next week, hopefully with my first 2lbs down.
