A little while back, I was lucky enough to be invited to an event for the skincare brand Crystal Clear. Unfortunately, due to snow, I was unable to make the event. But, the lovely PR Claire was nice enough to send me over a few products to try out. 

Let me just start of by saying that I'm in love with the packaging. I adore the simple, classy white and chrome. The cleanser and Protect and repair are in a plastic bottle, whereas the Intense anti-ageing serum is in a solid, ceramic(?) bottle. 

I have given these products a few weeks to really put them to test and they've had no negative effects on my skin. 

Deep Cleanse Gel*

The Deep cleanse gel is a soap free formula that's suitable for every skin type. It lightly exfoliates, while dissolving excess grease and removing even the toughest of make-up.

I use the cleanser both morning and night, to deep cleanse my skin.The smallest amount of this gel goes a very long way. To use, you only need one pump, lather in wet hands and apply on the skin.  As a general rule, I avoid using this on my eyes.

Unlike other cleansers I have used before, this one leaves my skin feeling clean but not tight. In fact, my skin feels smooth and soft.

Repair And Protect*

The repair and protect is a sun lovers dream. 

This sunscreen has a whopping SPF40/UVB20. It contains active anti ageing ingredients and absorbs UV rays to help minimise sun damage.

As well as this, it is also a fantastic moisturiser that reduces fine lines and wrinkles. 

I have been using this applied before my walks, also after cleansing first thing in the morning. Because this is a super smooth formula, I have found this makes a great base for make-up. I usually apply, let it sink into the skin to about five minutes, then continue applying my make-up for the day.

Intense Anti-Ageing Serum*

I am not kidding when I say that this product has completely changed my skin. 

This super intense moisturiser is a life saver for anyone like me who has to deal with horrid dry patches.

The formula contains proven active peptides and oxygen complex, which helps to repair and restore dry, ageing skin. 

The ingredient, Sy-Nake mimics the peptides found in the venom of the Temple Viper, this peptide actively smooths skin and wrinkles in a short period of time, making this a fantastic anti-ageing product. 

I've been using this serum after cleansing in the evening. I apply all over my face in an upward motion, while focusing on my problem areas. My dry patches are usually in my T-zone and I also have frown lines. ( I like to call them smile lines, because they only appear when I smile.)

Since using this serum, my skin has been so clear! The dry patches are pretty much gone, and my 'smile lines' aren't as noticeable. I've also noticed a difference in the 'bags' under my eyes. I look a lot less tired and they feel much more plump and healthy looking. I never thought they were much of a problem, but now I have seen a change, I hope they never come back. 

I wouldn't normally spend so much on skin care, but I would seriously consider re-purchasing this, just on the fact that it has changed my skin so much. I now find my make-up applies easier, I wake up with healthy looking skin, rather than looking grey and deathly, and as much as I am only 23, I love the anti-ageing properties.

Because of these products, I feel I've finally found a routine that works for my skin. I'm always pretty sceptical with trying new things, but I'm so glad I got to try this. 

If you have dry skin, I really recommend you try a couple of these items. If you don't, Crystal clear will definitely have something for you.

Hello, my lovelies! 

We were given a sample of this product at the #leedsbloggermeetup2012 and I'm always keen to try out new cleansers. I thought I'd really put this one to the test buy waiting until I had done a strong look tutorial over on my YouTube channel.

The instructions tell you so apply the gel to dry skin. As you can see in the photos, the gel completely melts away make-up, including mascara!! This has to be the first cleanser I have used that's removed mascara without me having to rub my eyes red raw.
After this step you can apply water, which turns the gel into a milky consistency. It's very creamy and perfect for dry skin. It certainly doesn't take much rinsing and wiping of the face to be completely clear of any make-up.

After using this cleanser, my skin was so soft and I cam incredibly impressed.

Due to the fact this cleanser is natural, soap free and ridiculously hydrating, this is the perfect cleanser for sensitive skin.

Hi my loves!A couple of weeks back I saw a tweet out to bbloggers about trying some products from Purity Skincare. Well, of course I jumped at the chance and contacted them. To my surprise a few days later a huge parcel was delivered to my door containing 6 of their 7 products. I couldn't thank them enough. That night I set to my new routine, starting with the Cleansing lotion and Regenerating Overnight Moisturiser.In the morning I tried out the Facial Exfoliator, facial wash and Anti-aging Moisturiser.Since then I have kept to this routine, adding a couple of uses of the Anti-aging Serum and Mask throughout the week and my skin has never felt softer. I suffer from pretty bad dry skin and since starting this new routine I haven't had an issue at all. My skin is soft and clear and my pores are noticeably cleaner.

This is another sample I received in my March Harrods Glossybox. 

I was a little disappointed at the size of the sample and I originally thought I would only get one use out of it. When I did get round to trying it I was pleasantly surprised at how far it went. I have used it 3 times and the sachet is finally empty. 

 I liked the cleanser itself, although I found it to be nothing incredibly special. It removed all of my make-up well, apart from my mascara. 

I know this is a very short review, but seeing as I only used it three times, I feel as though I can't really comment on how my skin reacted to it. In the few times I used it, it didn't seem to break me out. Luckily. 

A full size 150 ml bottle of this cleanser can set you back £28, but seeing as how far my small sachet went, I imagine it would go a very long way!

Glossybox January Review Week - Day Five

Hi Lovelies!

I left this product until last as it's the one product from January's Glossy box that I didn't like.

I really tried to bring myself to try it so I could give you a honest review, but I just couldn't get past my hatred to the smell. Liam had a different opinion and said he liked the scent but for me it was way too overpowering. The smell was the first thing I noticed when I opened my Glossybox and this product is in a glass bottle, so how on Earth I could smell it, I don't know! 

So I'm totally passing on this one guys! I'm going to try and get Liam to give it ago so I may be back with a manly opinion on it sometime in the future.
