This poor product has been sat waiting for me to test it out for months. I was kindly sent it a good while back by the lovely lot over at Jerome Russell; but with moving, and Scout's birthday, and everything else my life has thrown at me recently, I just haven't had time to try it out.

A couple of weeks back, I did manage to find a moment, and I took the chance to finally get my pink on. But, unfortunately, this was a case of 'sometimes the product just doesn't work for you'.

pink, beauty, hair, toner, bblonde, jerome russell, whenflowersfall

As you can see, I wouldn't say my hair is particularly dark. A couple of days prior to this photo, we had added a good few extra highlights into my barnet, and some pieces were genuinely quite blonde.
I followed all of the instructions on the box, and I was sooo impressed with the formula of the product.

pink, beauty, hair, toner, bblonde, jerome russell, whenflowersfall

As you can see, the toner is a super dark pink. I did find you had to give the bottle a good shake, otherwise you were left with a product that was quite runny, and not overly pigmented. But once shaken, it was thick and strong in colour.
I applied it to my hair, and it instantly looks like it would take really well. Even my scalp was pink from the strong colour. I put on the plastic cap I had and warmed it through with a hairdryer, as the instructions said to do.
One of the other factors of this product I loved, was the scent. It wasn't over baring, but really did make you feel like you were in a salon.
After the developing time was up, I rinsed my hair and began to dry it.

pink, beauty, hair, toner, bblonde, jerome russell, whenflowersfall

As you can see, it barely took to my hair at all. The very white pieces on the bottom were a very soft pink, but not how I would have expected them to look, considering the picture on the front of the box. The rest wasn't pink at all. Even the blondest bits at my roots, which you can see in the photo above didn't take. I ended up not drying my hair completely, as I did have another product to pop onto my hair, but I'm sure it wouldn't have looked too different to the photos above.

I am a little disappointed by this product. As you guys know, I'm a huge Jerome Russell fan and will always use that brand of hair products; but this left me feeling a little meh. I honestly think the result was down to my hair colour to begin with. I truly believe that if you are lucky enough to have super blonde/white hair, this would work wonderfully for you; but if you are looking to add a pink hue to some highlights, it may just not work that great.

The pink toner is one of a few that Jerome Russell do, and I can say that the Champagne and Platinum toners are fab. I generally use the platinum one to help pull out any brassiness I may have in my hair.

They retail at £4.99 and you can often purchase them at Boots or Superdrug.

Have you tried this pink toner before? Let me know in the comments below if you were any more successful than I was with it.

I was recently in touch with the lovely people over at cutey.co.uk and a few days ago I was surprised to see a little package appear through my letterbox.
Inside were two of their bracelets to review for them. Both could not be any more my taste if they tried. They are both beautiful.

Both bracelets are very well made, strong and sturdy and the perfect size for my wrists. Sometimes I find this style of bracelet can be a little too large.

DSC_0057

The Eros charm bracelet retails for £12.99 and represents the God of Love.
The charms themselves are suitably girly, with hints of pinks, greens and love hearts.
You can order this bracelet in either a 18cm or a 20cm length.
If you are worried about this little beauty slipping off of your wrist, or even the clasp popping, fear not. The closing fixture is easy to use and clips shut to ensure no such thing would happen.

DSC_0055 (2)

The pink shamballa bracelet retails for £18.99.
It holds nine beautiful beads boasting 84 crystals on each bead, and the closing fixture is adjustable, meaning you can wear this bracelet as tight or loose as you prefer.
Out of the two, this is my favourite. It's super girly and absolutely stunning! I can assure you it will become a main feature on my wrist.

As you can see, both bracelets are lovely. If you're a fan of either style of bracelet but haven't wanted to fork out some of the ridiculous prices flying around, then Cutey is totally for you.
If you visit their website, there is a large range to choose from.

If you do end up purchasing, make sure to let me know what you think.
You could even send cutey a cheeky little tweet @cutey on Twitter.

Hi, my lovelies!

It's been a little while since I last did a little product review.

Today, I'm sharing with you a new favourite of mine. The Maybelline colour tattoo cream eye shadow in Pink gold.
When these products first popped up on the shelves I did pick up three shades, but when I recently saw this one appear I knew I had to have it straight away.

I've been a little on the fence about these products, I find that certain shades apply better than others , but this one applies like a dream. I usually apply it with a brush, but it as just as easily applied with your fingers.
The consistency of the eye shadow is perfectly smooth and blends really well!
I've heard a couple of people say that they think the colour of this product makes them look a little tired or ill, but if you do like a soft eye or something quite natural looking, I feel this is the perfect eyeshadow for you.

Like myself, you can either wear this alone or as a base for a different colour/product.
Just as Maybelline claims, this product does last a very long time. I can't say that I have tested it out for a full twenty four hours, but I can vouch for a good sixteen at least.

I absolutely adore the packaging. The glass may not be ideal if you travel a lot as it can be slightly heavier, but I do think it gives a more 'expensive' feel.
As with the rest of the colour tattoos, this product is sold for £4.99 and you can pick it up at any Boots or Superdrug store that stocks Maybelline products.

Hello, my lovelies,

You may have noticed my absence for the past couple of days. I've pretty much been trying to clear out my entire life, and we also had an last minute visit from Liam's parents yesterday.

I may be a little short of clothes I can wear, but my wardrobe is heaving with stuff that is far too small, ripped, stained, you name it. I guess you can call me a bit of a hoarder. I currently can't get onto my bed through stuff that is being chucked, donated or blog saled. (So keep your eyes peeled for that.)

Once I have cleared out everything I can think of, I'm planning on revamping our bedroom. Since we moved out of Liam's parents, we have never decorated our own room. It seems we have slept in a plain white box for almost two years now, and lets just say, it's not the most relaxing environment.

tumblr_mbu8egXSh91rc9mvwo1_500

I came across this photo on Tumblr the other day and I fell in love. Believe it or not, I've never had a pink room. It's always been purple for me. But, I am a girly girl and I still very much love pink. Obviously, I can't torture Liam to much and make him sleep in an entirely pink room, so the above colour palette is great as he's a bit fan of brown/neutral colours.

tumblr_manhakDJ7U1qd8pl1o1_500

For the last few days, I've been working a little mood board to get my creative juices flowing and I figured I'd share it with you.
I've decided to keep the pink soft and not as bold in the first photo, but I think it will work nicely. At the minute we have a white bed with white bedding, and oh my days, it's boring. It'll be nice to get some colour in there.
Other than that, I'd just like a wall of photos in cute frames and lots of candles.

I think I'm going to be working on this slowly throughout the next few months and I will post an update when it's finished. Who knows, I may even do a room tour.

Do you guys know any good interior design blogs?

P.S. Did you enter my bronzer giveaway? You may need to re-enter as I had to start it again.

When I heard that Rimmel were bringing out a new range of Kate Moss lipsticks, I knew I had to have a couple. But, when I heard that the new range was entirely matte, I dashed to my nearest Boots right away.

Luckily for me there was a 3 for 2 offer on, so I ended up picking two of the new range and one shade from the older line. (I'll blog about that one soon.)

DSC_0225

First, I picked up shade 101. Surprisingly enough, I don't actually have many soft pinks in my collection and this one caught my attention straight away.
I'd definitely describe this as a soft baby pink with blue undertones.

DSC_0227

The second shade I picked up was 110, a really bold and daring orange red.
This colour is amazing, but something I wouldn't normally pick out in fear that it would hake my teeth look incredibly yellow. Which, you'll be pleased to know, it doesn't.

Both lipsticks are ridiculously long wearing. I actually wore shade 110 a lot whilst we were staying in Leeds and I found it even lasted throughout me eating a 3 course meal. It did need a teeny bit of touching up, but if I had left it back at the hotel, it wouldn't have been the end of the world.

I much prefer a matte lip for the A/W months, and an extra bonus to these lipsticks, is they don't dry out your lips at all. They're actually pretty moisturising.

For £5.49, you cannot go wrong with these lipsticks. I'm now constantly choosing these over any of my others in my pretty large stash. Hopefully I'll be able to get my mitts on the other three shades in the matte collection soon.

You can click here to head over to the Boots website.

Which shade do you like best?

Hi lovelies!

This is a product I have wanted to try for a really long time, but have never gotten around to purchasing. So obviously I was thrilled to see them in our #Leedsbloggermeetup2012 goody bag.

I received the Pink cheetah lip tattoos which retail for £9.35 on the Violent Lips website. For the past week I've been feeling run down, so yesterday I figured I would have a play with them and see if I can figure them out.

I followed all of the instructions and applied the top lip first. I have to admit that I found it really tricky, but I was pretty impressed. When I moved on to the bottom lip, I found it even harder to apply and ended up totally screwing it up, missing half of my lip and I'm sure I ended up eating a little too. Haha.

Bluetooth Folder3

I really love the concept of this product, but I think I definitely need some more practise putting them on. I think if there was a way to stop them looking so wrinkled, they would look perfect. But, again, that's probably just my bad applications skills.

Bluetooth Folder4

I think these may not be for everyday wear, but they are certainly the perfect product for any party look as they pretty much last until you take them off.

I still have another couple of transfers from the packet, so I may do a little application demonstration on my YouTube channel, so watch out for that.  I think I may try an incorporate them into a tutorial too.

If you would like to see the vast range of designs from Violent Lips, you can visit their website here.

Pictures15Hi my lovelies!
Another fresh faced Monday today, but as you can probably tell by the above photo, I've been working on something with my hair this morning. All will be revealed about that soon!
Because I'm not wearing anything on my face, I thought I would share with you my new mermaid nails. I thought I would give the 'Water marbling with no water' technique a go and I absolutely love it. It's so easy! I don't feel like the photos do them justice!
IMAG2609

I hope you are all having a good Monday. I've now got to go and clean the oven at the old flat ( I'm wearing gloves of course!!)

Hey lovelies!
Today I'm sharing another good from my MeMeMe Groupon Buy.
This is the gorgeous Berry Crush lip cream. It can be seen worn here.
Now, you all know how much I love a good lippy, and this is most definitely that. The packaging to begin with is gorgeous and simple.
The lip creams themselves are long lasting and are enriched with shea butter and vitamin E.
This amazing pink, almost purple shade has a lot of blue undertones. So much so, I think you can actually pick them out in the above two photos.
When on the lips, the lip cream is moisturising and smooth. Even without lip liner, this product doesn't feather, which means if you are on the go you can re-apply without having to worry about it too much.
You purchase this product from the MeMeMe website here. Lip Creams sell for £8.50 and you get a nice 4 grams of product.
I will most certainly be purchasing more. :)

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Liam and I went for a stroll around a few shops today, so I thought I would give you a little OOTD along with my FOTD today. You can see a little glimpse of my new shoes which I am in love with! I'll be featuring them in a haul as soon as my other bits and bobs arrive. Liam hates them!
I've been feeling really self conscious for the past couple of days, so I'm loving the fact that the sunshine in the middle photo makes me look much skinnier than I am. I've taken up a new workout plan that I'll be sharing with you guys on Friday and fingers crossed by them I can say that I have lost a couple of pounds.
What have you guys been up to this weekend?

Pink to make the boys wink...
WHAT I'M WEARING
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Just a super small amount
ELF All Over Colour Stick in Lilac Petal
Pink Eye shades from the ELF Clutch Palette
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara
MeMeMe Light Me Up Lipgloss in Illuminate

I felt like keeping things simple today, the weather's warm, although the sky is grey and I really needed a touch of colour.
Today I'm focusing on getting a few blog posts sorted as I'm starting my new job soon and the house move is still on going. I really don't want to fall off the edge of the blogging planet again like I did when my laptop broke.

How's your Monday going?

This week saw the launch of a brand new webstore for the cult British brand.
Being the excitable make-up lover that I am, I had to check it out immediately. The store is selling six new kits exclusively, which of course stay true to Frontcovers promise to help you replicate an array of stunning catwalk looks.
The Spring/Summer range contain everything you need to create each specific look, along with step by step instructions on how to do so.
The new range is super affordable and I will most definitely be wanting to get my grubby mits on a few bits.

Below I've picked out my top three favourites to show you.
Colour Of The Season - Pink - £16
Inside this box you receive 3 domed baked eye shadows, 3 lip glosses, black kohl with smudger, lip liner, 1 blusher, a nail varnish, cheek brush and a double ended brush.
This kit contains everything you may need to recreate the smoky pink looks seen on the s/s runways of the likes of Chanel.
 Pencil and Polish - £12
You probably already know this, but colour blocking is a major trend this summer. This kit contains a creamy eye pencil and a nail varnish in yellow, orange, turquoise and blue. The kit also supplies you with a sharpener for your pencils.
With this kit you can create an array of mixing or clashing looks.
The Baked Powder Collection - £18
This kit is head to head with the 'Colour of the season kit' (above) to be my utmost favourite kit. It contains 18 baked powder eye and cheek shades in a variety of colours, a shadowline eyeliner and brushes.
This is the ideal kit if you are looking to create the most gorgeous smoky eye.

If you want to see the rest of the new collection, make sure to it out at
www.frontcovercosmetics.com
(but make sure you have some pennies spare, you'll need them!)

Newly dip dyed hair and matchy-matchy eyes!

Hi lovelies!
If you follow me on twitter you may have already seen my new hurr. Today's look was totally inspired by it, if you can't already guess. I wouldn't usually go for a look that matched my hair, but as todays plans consist on staying in and being productive at home, I figured why not!
I hope this dreary Monday isn't too gloomy for y'all!

Introducing another bargain from my local Factory Outlet Store.
I can safely say I have never tried anything from the Astor brand before, but when I saw this staring back at me, I just knew I had to try it out.
I payed only £2 for this and I am super duper impressed with what I got for my money.
This VIP 3 tone blush is sold as a coral, which when you use all of the three shades together, it certainly is. But, if you the separate the shades you can also use it as a soft pink also.
Astor claims this blush is a 'very soft formula containing over 74% minerals'. Soft, it most certainly is. With the slightest touch you can pick up a ton of product, the product of which is incredibly pigmented!
The blush itself can be used to create quite a bold cheek or sheered out to look very subtle. The product isn't glittery but isn't matte either. It falls in that nice little space between that gives your skin some instant glow.
The blush is very nicely packaged and comes with a mirror in the lid and a little applicator brush also. You receive 6.75g of product, which for the £2 I paid, I am amazed with.
I've yet to come across any other shades, but I will keep checking back at my local store and as soon as I do I will most certainly be purchasing some more.

Monday, 19 March 2012

MUA Lip gloss in shade 5 is the perfect sheer pink shade. The lip gloss is smooth and not too sticky and I feel it lasts around an hour before it needs reapplying.
Looking at the lip gloss you'd think it would be very pink, but in reality it's very very sheer with teeny tiny blue flecks in it. The blue isn't enough to be noticeable on the lips, but it is enough to make your teeth look a little more white. That's a bonus, right?
I absolutely adore wearing this on its own or on top of any shade of lipstick.
You can purchase this and any of the other shade for only £1 at any Superdrug store or on the MUA website.

Hi Lovelies!
Believe it or not, these are my first ever lip liners. I've never been one for lining my lips, but as I have started to wear brighter lipsticks, I thought I'd best invest in a couple.
Again, these we from the big sale I found. They were £1.50 for the two, which I thought was a bargain, seeing as I really don't know how much use they are going to get.
Scarlet is definitely a a soft red, swatched it looks ever so slightly peachy, but I kind of like that. I don't think I'm ever going to be one for very bold lip liners.
Moreish is a lovely smooth pink. It swatches very light and doesn't quite look like what I imagined when I saw it in pencil form. But never mind, I like it anyway.
Both pencils are very, very soft and I think with regular use, I could get through these quite quickly. If you can get your mitts on these, I would very much recommend them, especially is you are like me and you don't tend to wear lip liners very often.
