Hello, my lovelies,
You may have noticed my absence for the past couple of days. I've pretty much been trying to clear out my entire life, and we also had an last minute visit from Liam's parents yesterday.
I may be a little short of clothes I can wear, but my wardrobe is heaving with stuff that is far too small, ripped, stained, you name it. I guess you can call me a bit of a hoarder. I currently can't get onto my bed through stuff that is being chucked, donated or blog saled. (So keep your eyes peeled for that.)
Once I have cleared out everything I can think of, I'm planning on revamping our bedroom. Since we moved out of Liam's parents, we have never decorated our own room. It seems we have slept in a plain white box for almost two years now, and lets just say, it's not the most relaxing environment.
I came across this photo on Tumblr the other day and I fell in love. Believe it or not, I've never had a pink room. It's always been purple for me. But, I am a girly girl and I still very much love pink. Obviously, I can't torture Liam to much and make him sleep in an entirely pink room, so the above colour palette is great as he's a bit fan of brown/neutral colours.
For the last few days, I've been working a little mood board to get my creative juices flowing and I figured I'd share it with you.
I've decided to keep the pink soft and not as bold in the first photo, but I think it will work nicely. At the minute we have a white bed with white bedding, and oh my days, it's boring. It'll be nice to get some colour in there.
Other than that, I'd just like a wall of photos in cute frames and lots of candles.
I think I'm going to be working on this slowly throughout the next few months and I will post an update when it's finished. Who knows, I may even do a room tour.
Do you guys know any good interior design blogs?
P.S. Did you enter my bronzer giveaway? You may need to re-enter as I had to start it again.

This looks great Sam! I love the colour combo of pale pink and brown, I think it'll work well!!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny you posting this atm because I'm redoing my bedroom right now! xxx
What a great idea! :) Interior design/re decoration etc can be fun and will be good to focus yout mind on somthing positive, especially when you see the outcome and what you have achieved. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the inspirational photo and your mood board.. Like you, I'm not really a pink person, but pastal colours are lovely in moderation, without making a room seem to cold..
Look forward to seeing how you get on. :)
