Hi my loves!
Todays make-up is super simple. I decided with the appearance of the sun, I should go light on coverage, just to make-up I didn't get make-up melting off of my face half way through the day!
Hope you all have a lovely Saturday!!!

Monday Make-up is BACK!

So, it's been well over a month since I last did a Monday make-up and I promised yesterday that it would be returning.
Today I'm going to a much awaited We The Kings gig and this is what I came up with for my face.
I didn't want to go too overboard as I know I am going to be roasting once the gig is in full swing, and to be honest, make-up running down your face is never pretty. :)
As I write this, it's just started to rain. Wonderful!
I hope you are all having a fab bank holiday Monday.

Hi lovelies!
I thought it had been way to long since I last did a lipstick post. Haha, not really but I wanted to share my newest purchase with you guys.
This lipstick jumped out at me on a recent trip to Superdrug. I wasn't planning on buying a new lipstick, but I couldn't resist. Under the shops yellow lights the shade of the lipstick looked really orange. But in the photos here it looks far more red.
The lipstick is very creamy and easy to apply, the colour is really opaque and lasts pretty well. I did a little test and after application it lasted 3 hours or so before a re-application was needed. During these hours I had eaten a meal and drunk a couple of cups of tea.
Just so you guys can see the true colour, (I'm thinking the lighting whilst taking these photos may have altered it a bit,) I have taken a photo of the BeautyUK lipstick next to MUA shade 13 which I believe to be a true red.
BeautyUK is on the right and as you can see is a little larger than an MUA lipstick also.
BeautyUK lipstick retail for £3.49 and I would say they are totally worth the pennies. For a 'drugstore' brand I am really impressed.

Hi Lovelies!
I recently came across a little competition on the Bobbi Brown Facebook page, so I thought I'd give it a go seeing as all you had to do was 'like' the page and enter your details.
Well, I won! Woo! This is the first thing I've won, so as you can imagine I was quite chuffed.
The item I won was a sample size of the Perfectly Defined Mascara. I've never tried anything from Bobbi Brown before so I was really looked forward to getting it in the post.
When I received it Saturday morning the first thing I thought was 'damn, I've already put my make-up on!'
When I did get to give it a go though, the brush seemed nice, nothing fancy and not too chunky and the formula was pleasantly runny. I don't really like mascaras that feel thick and clumpy. I'd much rather work with something that doesn't instantly give me the spider lash effect!
This amazing result was after only one coat! I can't remember the last mascara I used where I didn't have to apply two coats for it to even look half this good.
The mascara certainly did what it says it does, it defines your lashes and I'd even say it gives amazing length as well. I didn't curl my lashes before use as I wanted to see what it would be like on my natural lashes, no prepping. The product seemed to give a good curl without making it look too forced, and my lashes didn't feel crisp after application either.
I have nothing but good things to say about this product and I would definitely look into buying a full size.
I am so pleased I got to try this out and would really recommend entering the next little comp they run on the facebook page. You never know, you may just win. :)

Hi Lovelies!
I wanted to created a different kind of look today and this is what I came up with. It's a total contrast to Tuesdays spring tutorial.

Hi Lovelies!
I thought I'd share with you one of my favourite lipsticks.
This is MACs Naked Paris. The lustre lipstick looks so dark in bullet form, it can be a little shocking.
The colour comes across as a deep brown/purple berry tone and makes the perfect lipstick for any autumnal look.
As you can see from the swatch below, because the lipstick is a lustre, it actually gives a very sheer colour pay off. It's also filled with very fine glitter, which I love, with that addition it gives amazing dimension to your lips.
The colour is definitely one of those that you have to try before you turn your nose up at it! It's so different on your lips, to what you see in the tube. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have bought this otherwise.
Has anyone else tried this lipstick, and if so what did you think of it?

Yep! THIS!!!

I thought it was about time to get another tutorial done for you guys, and what better an excuse to one is Valentines Day!
Enjoy!!

and this isn't even a quarter of it!!
My taste in products has become ever increasingly more expensive.
These are a few of the items at the top of my list and will most probably be the first things I buy as soon as I have some pennies. If the job hunt continues being as pants as it has been, I might have some money by March. Haha.
Can anyone recommend some good ways to make a few bob?

Hi Lovelies!
I've been on the hunt for some good storage for my ever growing make-up/jewellery/nail varnish collection recently, so I thought I'd share some of the goodies I've come across!

I have literally been searching for a good display case for my nail varnishes for weeks and this is the cheapest I thing I have been able to find. If you have quite a small collection I think this could be ideal, although it's not quite big enough for my ever growing stash. It sells for £10.99 with free shipping and you can purchase it HERE.

Now this is exactly what I had in mind! I love the fact that it is wall mountable and you can fit a good variaty of polishes in the rack without them falling out. I had previously found another unit similar to this but the shelves were tiny and there was no way you could fit an OPI bottle in them.
This sells for £21.50 and they also charge £4.63 for shipping, so it is a little more on the pricey side, but I think it's a good price to pay to have somewhere where you can display all of your varnishes.
You can purchase this item HERE.
Now, you should all know by now that I'm a massive lipstick junkie and my collection is growing super fast. I thought this would be the perfect way to store them and I'm most definitely getting one of these for myself as soon as I have some pennies!
It sells for £7.50 and £3.98 shipping, so once again a little bit on the pricey side for something that is basically just plastic, but it's a small price to pay for your lipsticks to not be rolling around in a draw.
You can buy it HERE.
This little tray is the ideal addition to any organisational system. Personally I would use it to keep all of my single eyeshadows in, but you could use it for almost anything! There are three different kinds of tray available but this was my favourite. It's available from Argos for £9.99, but if you can't make it to your local Argos store you can by it HERE.
This is so cute, I just can't wait for it to be a new addition to my room! I currently struggle to find a good way store my necklaces without them getting tangled up, but this is ideal! Not only could I hang my necklaces on this, but I could also hook my big earrings on it too. It costs £6.95 and you can buy it HERE.

I was pointed in the direction of this little beauty of a brush holder by juicystar07 (Blair Fowler) on Youtube. It's actually a product from the online store she has with her sister Elle (AllThatGlitters21 on Youtube.)
You can buy them personalised with your own initial as well as being able to choose a colour of your choice.
It sells for $15.00 and you receive the plastic beads as well. Now obviously it is an american site so I'm unsure of how long it would take for you to receive this product, but I do think it's too good to pass up.
If you would like one for yourself, you can purchase it HERE along with plenty of other personalised items!

I hope you guys found this post helpful. I'm going to purchase a couple of these items for myself as soon as I am back in the land of money again. Looking for a job is so damn stressful, especially when you don't want to join the army or become a TV areal installer.

Hi Lovelies!
So it's week three for my new Youtube feature and I'm really enjoying doing it. It usually gets to Monday evening and then I remember, "Oh it's Tuesday tomorrow! I have to film in the morning!"
For the past couple of days I've been feeling a little under the weather, just getting a general sicky feeling in my stomach and being colder than I've ever been before. Even as I'm sitting typing up this post I have my heating on full blast (it's making no difference at all), 2 jumpers, slippers and a blanket over me. Oh, and a hat and gloves, haha, I must look like a real doofus sitting in my own living room wrapped up like I'm in the arctic! Usually I'm the kind of person who hates it when people moan about the cold, I usually like the winter, but for some reason this year that moaning person is me!! Roll on the summer, or at least temperatures higher than -2.
The only up side to the freezing cold is that all I want to do is sit wrapped up warm, so the housework is getting left until I've thawed out and I'm getting on and actually writing some posts up! All weekend I've been telling myself to do it, and then I go and look for sales online, even though I have no money to spend right now. I can sit and window shop online for hours, anyone else like that or is it just me?
Anyway, I've rambled and moaned alot, so I'm going off now to do the actual things I have planned and I'm going to leave you with a rather short edition of 'Start The Day With Sam.' Enjoy!

Oh! And a big massive HI and thanks for following to the few new followers I have gained this week!!

Hi Lovelies!
This post has been a long time coming. I received this Africa by W7 bronzer at Christmas and I've loved it ever since.
Even though it is sold as a bronzer, I find it to be more of a blush as it gives a very slight pinky tone to your skin. It's very sheer and doesn't over power you.
As you can see from the photo below, it does have a slight shimmer, but I think that's nice in a bronzer/blush. I tend to use this product more when I'm creating a dramatic look, ie winged eye liner or red lips.
I will definitely be buying more of the W7 boxed products. They are a very cheap alternative to the benefit box blushes, which I am also very keen to get my hands on.

Hi Lovelies!
Amongst my little MUA haul the other day were these two amazing shades from the Out There lip glosses by MUA. I don't think I have ever liked a lip gloss more than I love these! I'm not normally a lip gloss person at all, I'm definitely a hater of 'sticky lip syndrome'. These on the other hand are smooth and don't leave you feeling sticky lipped at all. Just as the 'out there' part of the name suggests, they really do give you that plumping sensation. I wouldn't say it felt like what I am used to from a plumping lip gloss, which is usually a minty tingling feeling, but with these I found it was more of a burning sensation, warm but not too much that it was unbearable.
The two colours I purchased were Sienna and Pin Up Pink. I love the fact that these products actually have names, whereas most MUA products are only numbered. The glosses are just as highly pigmented as one another and the formula is easy to apply and rather long wearing. I don't think I can say much more about these glosses but I am so impressed with them, I most certainly am going to go out buy the other shades in the collection.

Go on!! Have a little chuckle at my expense!

I'm adding a little extra today!
Two for the price of one, the first being a look I did a while back but didn't post.
The second is a new one for the new one!
Here's to my first Monday Make-up of 2012!!

Hi Lovelies!
I'm sure you are probably get totally bored of all the lipstick posts I've been doing recently, so I promise I will lay off them abit for a while. Blame my lipstick obsession!
This one was an impulse buy, I'd only popped into my supermarket for a few bits and got completely drawn in by the pretty make-up stands. It's the Collection 2000 Volume Sensation in Forever Heather. Yes it's another dark, wintery shade, but it wears incredibly well and your lips really do feel a slight tingle from the "volume" aspect of the lipstick. The reaction is nothing major, it's just a feeling as if you've scrubbed your lips with toothpaste. I will definately be buying more from Collection2000, it's a brand I used to wear alot, but fot eh past few years have neglected a little. At this particular moment in time though, it's ideally priced for my moneyless self.
Please excuse the random photo of me, I just wanted to show you the colour on. Bare in mind that this photo was taken a good three hours after application. It had barely budged and didn't need re-applying all night.
