A few weeks ago, I received a tweet from The Body Shop asking if I would like to try out a couple of their veggie friendly products. At the time I wasn't eating meat and I felt it was an ideal time to try something new.
Their random act of kindness was part of #TBSGiveJoy, as something I hadn't heard of before, I did a little investigating and it seems The Body Shop will pick people to offer some goodies too. Another girl I spotted was offered some of their chocolate products to try.
After giving them my address, a few days later I signed for a package including the following products.

The carrot moisture cream is exactly that. The 50 ml tub is available to buy for £4, but is currently out of stock online.
This cream is amazing. I thought the scent would be a little odd, being carrot, but it smells really pleasant.
The cream itself is slightly more thick than the moisturiser I usually reach for, but that being said, it actually sinks into the skin a lot quicker.
Since using this, my skin hasn't at all felt dry. I tend to reach for this now, even when I don't really need it. It kind of feels like a treat when applying it.
I feel this tub is going to last a while, but as soon as it is all gone, I will most certainly be purchasing it.

The other product I received was the new watermelon lip gloss. Available to buy online for £7.00, here.
Apologises for the blurry photo.
This is a product I most definitely wouldn't have chosen for myself. In all honesty, I'm not a big lipgloss fan.
I tried this out and I'm in love with it. Something that always puts me off lipgloss is the stickiness, but this isn't sticky at all. It smells and tastes amazing, and gives amazing shine.
The tube gives you a good 12ml of product and is easy to apply.
The new range of lipglosses come in a huge variety of flavours. There's everything from strawberry and peach, to cocoa and lychee.
I love this product so much, that I am now dying to try out some of the others in the range.

Have you heard of #TBSGiveJoy before?

Hopefully this time I won't get hacked again!! But as a precaution, we are looking into getting me a new laptop. Virus scanners just don't seem to be finding what's letting these people get onto my laptop. :/
Anywhooooo, now I can actually type a proper post, I can show you a few bits that I got for Christmas!
Just a quick disclaimer though, I'm not doing this to brag at all, I just know a lot of people enjoy seeing these kinds of posts.
 Blush Professional 88 palettes
 Angry Birds speaker
 Mulberry-esque handbag
 River Island Hats
Rimmel Glameyes Mascara & W7 Africa Bronzer
 River Island boot slippers
 Large Yankee Candle
Welsh Cloggau Guardian Angel Locket
I also got to spend a couple of days with Liams family back home and enjoyed a couple of drinks with friends on Boxing day.
I should hopefully back in full blogging action from now on and I've got a good few things to review so keep your eyes peeled for those.

I hope you all had an absolutely fabulous Christmas!

Looking for some cheap starter brushes?
Why not give these a go? I found them whilst browsing on CosmeticsFairy.com, they are from the Studio Basics line and retail here for only £3.49!! The brushes are made with all natural hair, are very soft and come with a handy travel case, which is even big enough for more brushes.
The set includes a large eye shadow brush, angled crease brush, petite eye shader, applicator brush and a smudge brush.
Since I have had these I have had no issues with shedding and they wash very easily. For the price of them I am so so impressed. They would definitely make ideal brushes for someone just starting off, or even someone who needs a cheap set. You can find the set for sale here.

Hi Lovelies!
I thought I'd share a few photos of my home, all dressed up ready for Christmas. I've spent most of the day shopping and sorting out the prezzies, I'm finally in the festive spirit! Being our first Christmas in our own home, Liam and I haven't got many decs, we haven't got a tree either, we thought it best seeing as Luna is still her mischievous self and we're pretty sure we'd be spending most of our time fixing it. How do you guys cope with naughty pets at Christmas?
Hope you're all having a good Christmas time.
I'm getting excited now!

I've been looking for some new rings recently and came across Dainty Roses through Twitter. The shop sells everything from jewellery to stationary it's all very reasonably priced and postage is as cheap as £3.00 maximum for worldwide shipping.
I browsed for a while and came across an offer for 3 random shell rings for £6.50, usually the rings sell for £3.50 each, so it's an offer too good to miss. My parcel arrived 5 days after I ordered, which for Christmas time, was really quite quick!
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful packaging. The owner Lisa had taken her time to personalise it with tags, cute string and a little badge. She had also hand written a lovely note on the back of her business card
After ordering, I sent Lisa a tweet saying how lovely her jewellery was. She replied asking what I liked in particular and I told her that I had my eye on one of the blue shell rings, I also told her what I had just ordered. She was so lovely, she told me that she would make sure that she put one of the blue ones in my random three.
These are the rings I received, they are all adjustable and are beautiful. I adore the colours and the way the shell catches the light. I also like the fact that she sent me three which were very different from one another.
For the price I paid for them, I am so impressed, I will definitely be ordering again and her products would make ideal stocking fillers for this fast approaching Christmas!
I also received a cute little gift with my order, so if you do read this Lisa, thank you so much.

If you're looking for gifts for someone special, or you just want to treat yourself, head over to the Dainty Roses website and have a browse!
Disclaimer - I purchased these with my own money and my opinion is truthful and honest.

Hi Lovelies!
It's a yearly tradition of mine to create a wishlist on polyvore. It hurts me to say that I will most probably never get any of these things, unless that it I magically get a new job and buy them for myself. Last years wishlist certainly had a lot less on it, and I think somehow my taste has become a lot more expensive over the year.
So this is this years wishlist, I'm going to list my top five things on there, but I'm not going to bore you with then whole 19 items.
1. A camcorder, preferably a HD one, but I'm not picky.
2. Viktor & Rolfs Flowerbomb perfume
3. Urban Decay Naked Palette
4. Sober is Sexy tank top
5. NYX HD studio photogenic foundation

So anywhoooo, here's to being a good girl and keeping my fingers tightly crossed that Santa is nice to me this year.

I don't know about you guys, but I am so unprepared for Christmas this year! I normally have all my presents chosen and bought by the end of November, but this year, thanks to the move and not being in a stable job since August, limited funds have stopped me from doing that.
For the past two years I have tried to be creative with the gifts I give, so here are my top ideas for people who want to be a little different.
For the kiddies, keep and clean old jam jars, paint the lid and fill with sweets for your choice. You could even write a message on the jar in glass paints.
Make your own chocolates. There are plenty of ideas and recipes on the internet to choose from. Once made, package them in a homemade box and decorate.
Get something printed. I do this almost every year. Companies like Vistaprint offer printing services for low prices. You can choose a design of your own choice and get it printed onto a variety of items.
Make a hamper. This is an ideal present for someone who is difficult to buy for. You can fill it with inexpensive and homemade goodies, such as the persons favourite dvd, their favourite make-up, homemade choccies, bath goodies etc. Just package it in a cute box and tie with a ribbon.

So what do you guys think? Do you have any personal gift ideas for Christmas this year?
