January Beauty Wishlist

beautywishlist

It's been a little while since I last did a wishlist post, and seeing as I have made a few pennies today, I figured, why not do one.

Believe me, these pennies are burning a lovely big hole in my pocket, but due to my car tax being due next month, these items will just have to stay on my wishlist a little longer.

La Roche-Posay Micellar Solution - I recently saw Rachel 'Notes from my closet' talk about this product in a recent video, and I have to admit, she completely sold it to me. I'm coming to the end of my trusty cleanser and I think it may be time to try something new. I've heard so many good things about La roche-posay products recently, that now I just can't stop browsing online.

Botanics Face Brush - Another blogger/youtuber is the reason I now want this. Zoe (Zoella) recently showed in a haul that she had bought this. I've always been one to use a face cloth when removing my make up in the evening, but recently I've been craving for a clarisonic, or something of that sort. I just can't talk myself into spending that kind of money on something I wash my face with. So this is a great alternative. Yes it's manual and you have to do some of the work, but it pretty much works the same way.

Barry M Gelly Polishes - If you know me, then you will know that I love my Barry M nail polishes. So far, I only have one colour from the Gelly range, and I really think it's time to start adding some more Spring/Summery colours to my collection. (Getting too ahead of myself?) At the moment I'm lusting after Grapefruit, Pickly Pear and Blueberry. (L-R)

Kate Moss Lipsticks - Another range that I'm currently obsessed with, is the Kate Moss Rimmel lipsticks. I currently have four other colours and as with the nail polishes, I'm dying to pick up a few more shades. Right now, I'm wanting matte shade Beige and also shade 20.

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoos - The last product I'd like to expand my collection of is the best (in my opinion) eyeshadow bases/cream eyeshadows of last year. Permanent Taupe is one of those shades that everyone talks about, I just haven't come across it in a store yet. Endless Purple is just a gorgeous colour and I think it would be perfect for the Summer.

As much as I love all of the snow that we're having at the moment, I think I'm over the Winter trends, make -up wise. I'm definitely ready for some bright girly colours and clear skin.

What are you lusting over at the moment?

  1. I love the Kate moss lipsticks, I got them all gifted at fashion week which was amazing!

The colour tattoos are great colours but I don't feel like they last that long without creasing?

    1. They don't crease at all, I love them! I published a blog post recently comparing them to MAC Paint Pots www.talkingaboutm.blogspot.com :)

    2. I've not had any issue with creasing, apart from with the gold one. I just can't get on with that one. Xx

  2. Oooh I didn't know that La Roche Posay sold a Micellar Solution! I'm also wanting to try the Gelly Nail Paint and shade 20 Kate Moss Lipstick after seeing Zoe feature them both in her latest haul. x

    1. I didn't either until I saw Rachel talk about it. It'll save me trying to track down bioderma!

I used to use the Botanics brush a couple of years back, but I found the bristles went all weird and matted quite quickly :/

  4. Lovely post! I had the Botanics brush and it smelt awful - I don't know if I just had a bad one or if its what it is made of?! Anyway, I now have one with a plastic handle and synthetic bristles which is much nicer, so I'd recommend that type instead :) x

  5. I'll definitely have to find a plastic one. Your the second person to not recommend the botanical one, so maybe I'll pass on that one. Xx

  7. Permanent taupe is well worth treating yourself to :) It's great for contorting the eye as well as a base for other eye-shadows, I should really buy some other shades too! :) I'm glad my video was useful! :) Thank you for the mention lovely! x

    Love, Rachel
