instaweek, this week in photos, this weeks highlights, whenflowersfall, instagram,

Helloooo, Sunshines!

What a strange old week it has been; and a stressful one at that.
Last Sunday saw us rushing Scout to A&E after a fight with a solid wood table. He totally lost his footing whilst playing and smacked his head directly on the corner. The swelling came out pretty quickly, but as with any head injury, we wanted it seen to as quick as possible. The hospital were great and saw him within an hour.

We did notice whilst there, that there were very little toys in the children's waiting room. It just didn't make sense to me, as I couldn't imagine Scout every sitting still whilst waiting to be seen for anything. We were lucky to go whilst it was quiet, but add an extra couple of hours onto our wait, and he would have been a very bored child. I decided to do something about it, and arranged a collection of donations from families in the local area. I then spent over an hour on Wednesday cleaning said toys. We are taking them to the hospital as soon as we get a moment.

With the abundance of new toys in the house, we've discovered that Scout loves cars and trucks, so he got to switch out one of his donations for this green dump truck. He's loving driving it up against our lovely freshly painted walls.
He's also discovered the fun that is our glasses. It's rare that we get to keep them on our faces at the minute.

I decided to brighten a boring week by refreshing my pink hair, and boy is it refreshed. More on the product I used to come.

Back to Scout... He's been taken some short naps this week. I'm hoping it's just a phase and we get our nice two plus hour naps back soon. On Friday, he woke up after forty minutes and regretted his decision.

We picked up a Munchkin 360 cup for him to use too this week. He's always trying to grab our drinks, so figured it would be a good time to try the magical voodoo that is this cup. Seriously, it's amazing.

We also dug our his first pair of Converse trainers. His Grammy picked the wrong size out by mistake when he was tiny, but they finally fit, and boy do they look cute!!

And finally, I got a whole day to myself to get some 'Sam stuff' done. I've planned and filmed a few videos, written a few blog posts (including this one), and relaxed. It's just what I needed unwind. As I write this, the boys are in town and I'm in an empty house, alone with the animals. I love my boys, but this is a moment on once in a while bliss.

What have you been up to this week. Leave your Instagram names down below, I'm always on the hunt for new accounts to follow.

Another week has flown by, and it's now March! How insane is that?!
What's even scarier, is that I turn 25 this month. That means next year I will be closer to 30 than I am 20, and I am soooo not ready for that.

We've had a pretty slow going week, but there have been a few exciting moments that I wanted to share with you today.

1. I've made more of an effort to make myself feel more human this month. I've taken time to actually get dressed more often that not, and put some make-up on. Even if it's only a little mascara, it seems to help the low moods a lot.

2. Scout started testing his first product to review this week. Haha! Well, I'll review it for him, but so far so good. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled on my youtube channel for the full video review coming soon.

3. I'm well and truly stuck in the planning mindset now. I love sitting down and filling out a couple of pages of to do's. It really helps to keep my mind a little clearer.

4. I posted a little reminder for myself mid week. I need a boost every now and then, and I find Pinterest (follow me here) is one of the best places to find some motivation.

5. Pay day week means that we ran out of a few of our favourite foods. Scout tried his daddy's cheerios this week, but wasn't too sure about them.

6. Another make-up face.

7. Liam surprised me with the planner I've been lusting over for a couple of weeks. So now I have two. Yes, I'm becoming one of those people who plans every part of her life.

8. He also came home from the office with Yo!sushi for dinner. I'm not going to lie. I could have eaten this all to myself. It was so good!

9. I've started using Snapchat much more this week. If you would like to follow our story, my user name is whenflowersfall. I seem to post anything that isn't instagram worthy. Derp faces, anyone?

10. I thought I had found my dream bag last week. That is, until I saw this one. It's so beautiful. PLus, you can have it monogrammed. How fancy!

11. Scout has started teething again, so sleep has become pretty non existent. He's also suffering with bad nappy rash because of it.

12. And the most exciting thing of all. We welcomed little India into our lives. She's absolutely tiny and a total ball of  love. It's been 6 months since we lost Mischief, and I always felt like there was a big hole in our home. We've been a 2 cat household for a few years and the time just felt right. I can't wait to watch her grow into the complete beauty I know she'll be.

How has your week been?

this week in photos, this weeks highlights, instagram, catch up, whenflowersfall

Yup, another series is being resurrected. I know a lot of people do these kinds of posts now, but I figured it would be a great one to look back on in a few months time. Also, if you don't have/follow me on Instagram, then it's a good way to catch up with my life stuffs.

1. We've really gotten back into using our cloth nappies. We fell into a bit of a disposable habit and it was not only becoming an expensive one, but we were also putting out far more rubbish each week. Now all I need to do, is get used to the stuffing again. Does anyone else hate the stuffing part?

2. Scout has been a bit all over with his naps this week. It's not all been his fault. We've had to be out of the house a couple of times, and he just sleeps where he can. On Tuesday he crashed in the car after we had our new tyre fitted, so of course I sat in the car, outside the house with him for an hour. How could I move that sweet little snoozer?

3. Attack of the pasta bake happened again. Scout loves it, and the majority of the time it ends up all over his face. Hey, at least he didn't rub it in his eyes this time.

4. I've been feeling some major wanderlust this week. We haven't had a holiday for over 4 years and I'm in dire need of some actual sunshine. Because of this, I have vowed to save half of my money each month until we can afford to go away. It probably won't be abroad for the first holibob, but somewhere other than stinky Chatham would be a lovely change of scenery.

5. Again with Scout and his naps. This is how he fell asleep twice this week. He wants to stand 24/7, even when he's meant to be going to sleep. Turns out he just couldn't fight it hard enough this time.

6. I've really gotten into this planning malarky. I've made a little start on Scout's scrapbook, (more of that to come soon,) and I'm constantly looking for new things I can add into this little obsession of mine.

7. This week I've also really struggled with a lot. I've felt really overwhelmed with looking after Scout, and juggling all of the housework/blogging/youtube etc. My routine wasn't followed brilliantly so I'm thinking that's why.

8. We did, on the other hand, have two full nights sleep with Scout. As I'm writing this, I have every thing crossed for a third. Only time will tell if we've finally cracked it where sleep is concerned.

9. Bargain of the week? A bright orange knitted cardi from Primark. Only £3 down from £16!

10. I've had the realisation that Scout has grown so much. In this picture he had just stolen Liam's hat and wasn't happy unless it was on his head.

11. Today, Liam took the reigns and I've had a complete me day. It was so needed and I haven't actually had a day like this since before Scout was born. We've now decided to make it a regular thing as I feel totally relaxed and refreshed, for the first time in nearly nine months!!

12. So as well as taking the dog for a walk, I had an hour long bath, painted my nails and filmed this weeks YouTube videos without feeling rushed. It's been bliss.
Now, it's time for two very heavy work weeks for Liam. Let's see how relaxed I feel when they're done.

1. I finally decided to redo the blue in my hair. It was beginning to look a little snot green-ish. I ended up doing everything from a face mask to painting my toenails!

2. After our midwife appointment I thought I'd treat myself with a non alcoholic lager. It's the first one I've had ll pregnancy, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't think I'll want another before Scout comes though.

3. We also demolished a huge bowl of the most amazing nachos ever. Can I have some more please?

4. In the past week, all of the animals have gotten really clingy. Luna likes to slide in between us whenever she possibly can.

5. Scout's birth month began this week! That is, unless he's more than 6 days late, and then he'll be a June baby.

6. I've been wanting to take some pregnancy photos for the past few weeks, and I finally found the time to do so this week. I'll share the final ones this week some time.

7. I was hoping that the DailyJones channel would hit 150 subscribers before Scout was born, and we did it! Thanks to everyone who's subscribed so far!

8. After a tough night of cramps and rib pain, Liam made me a bacon sandwich. He can be a sop once in a while.

This week has been full of ups and downs. I'm totally ready to begin a new week and continue baby watch! We're 37 weeks now. He can come whenever he likes!!

1. This week saw the start of my labour prep. I started drinking one cup of raspberry leaf tea a day. I've missed a couple of days, but I shall be upping it to more than one cup this coming week.

2. On bank holiday Monday I posted a big baby haul. After being totally spoilt by Liam's parents, I really wanted to share some of the bits with you guys.

3. The baby bump is getting mighty big. My poor tops are finally giving up the fight and not many fit now.

4. Our beast of a buggy has been sitting folded up for months. We were very kindly given it for free, it's barely used and in fabulous condition. I plan on giving it a clean this week, just due to the fact that it's been collecting dust.

5. I think Bug can tell that something is changing. He's been really clingy this week and is now insisting on sleeping where the pillows are in the bed. See pic 8.

6. A few more baby buys. We couldn't resist getting the My Pal Scout. It was kind of a no brainer.

7. I'm definitely feeling more whale like as each day goes by. And if I don't get enough sleep, I'm a horrible person to be around.

8. Again, Bug and his beloved pillow.

9. Today marks 36 weeks! I cannot believe we only have a week to go till he's full term!

10. It also means we've been debating how long we have left until he actually decides to make an appearance. Honestly, I'll be quite happy for him to come anytime from now. Obviously, getting to the end of this week would be great, but I wouldn't complain if I went into labour tomorrow. If you want to join in on the guessing, feel free to leave a comment on the vlog.

This week has been full of ups and downs. This post was meant to be written yesterday, but due to one of those downs, I didn't get around to it. That being said, here are the good points from the past week.

- Monday's post involved some gradient eyeliner, which I feel may be a big favourite of mine in the months to come.

- Bug has been nothing but a sweetheart this week. He seems to be getting the hang of toilet training once again, his behaviour is getting better by the day, and he really just wants cuddles and love at the minute.

- I've been getting myself a little more prepared for Scout's arrival. I finally decided to take the plastic wrapping off of his mattress, and I picked out a few outfits to go in our hospital bag. He's kicking and fidgeting a ton as I'm writing this. Only ten weeks to go!!

I'm going to try and make these posts more of a regular thing. I like the idea of looking back at the good points of the week, rather than dwelling on the not so good. There's nothing like a positive mood to brighten up any day.
I hope you're all having a relaxed Sunday.

1. On Monday I had my first play with my Naked 3 palette. It's safe to say that I am well and truly obsessed now and I really need to get my hands on 1 and 2.

2.  We decided to break our hiatus and bring the vlogs back this week. With that decision came a new look for the channel.

3. Bug continued to be a moapy pup.  He's discovered that I'm a soft touch and will let him in the bed, despite the great big plastic cone round his head. He has one bit of stitch left that he could ill out, so as soon as that has fallen off, he'll be cone free.

4. After not dying my hair for over six months, I finally gave in. I used a non permanent/no ammonia dye and directions and came up with something a little more me.

5. I finally caught up with my pregnancy vlogs. I still can't believe I'm halfway through already.

6. Today has been a major burger craving day. I had to finally give in and we went to Maccies. I'm not even going to admit to the amount I ate. I blame the baby.

1. After Liam enjoyed a couple of beers, I was crazy craving the taste of an alcoholic beverage. In an attempt to curb this craving I picked up some alco-free Kopparberg. It didn't work. As nice as it was, it was just fizzy juice, but luckily my craving didn't last long.

2. On Tuesday we attended our first ultrasound and saw our little wriggly peanut, measuring at 12 weeks 2 days. Which is 4 days behind what I thought I was, but it does make sense as I had an inkling that I had ovulated late that month. Dates weren't quite matching up and it took so long for me to get my clear positive.

3. This week saw the comeback of tea! Baby hasn't let me drink it for weeks, and now I can finally stomach a good old cup. Decaf of course.

4. I can also stomach cooking again! Yaaaaaaaay real food!!

5. This week's nails - Blue and sparkly.

6. I may have purchased baby's coming home from the hospital outfit already.....now watch me pop out a teeny tiny baby that this will swamp.

7. We had a scare with Mischief, she had a poorly bottom and started passing blood. A day later and she seems to have a lot more energy. Fingers crossed it was just something that has now passed. The vet said to take her in for antibiotics if it got worse.

8. Liam's mum decided to treat us to dinner. It's been forever since we last we to Wagamamas so that's where we went. SOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD!!

I figured I'd start doing these kinds of posts again, especially through my pregnancy. I'm looking forward to coming back in a few months and reading them.
