MUA Going For Gold Palette

DSC_0075Hi my loves,
I'm going to be completely honest about this little palette.
As I eagerly awaited the reveal of each shade on facebook, I have to say at first I was one of those who were pretty disappointed. As a limited edition Olympics palette, I imagined bright, bold, reds, blues and greens.
BUT, and it's a big but. I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I saw the swatches.
This palette of silvers, golds and rose golds is incredibly pigmented. One swipe and your eyelids will be bursting with colour. I was especially stunned by the strength of the gold shades. Usually you expect a pretty mediocre pay off with such colours, but these blew my mind.
As with all MUA eyeshadows, these have brilliant staying power and if applied on top of a primer can be made even better. The shadows are creamy, smooth and apply like butter.
Along with all of  MUA's other palettes, this costs only £4 and can be purchased from their online store.
What do you guys think of this bright, bold palette?

  1. I don't think the colours in this palette look all that nice... I too was disappointed when I saw it! Hopefully I'll be convinced when I actually try the palette! :)
