Hey beauties!
When it comes to eyeshadow, this shade isn't something I would usually go for. It became part of my collection thanks to it being part of a little pack of Dainty Doll items I picked up in TK Maxx a few months ago. It also contained a blush and lipstick, but with the packet being well sealed, it was difficult to figure out what the colours were before purchasing.

On first impression, I wasn't all too pleased with the shadow. Upon swatching it's seemed very chalky, but the pigmentation was pretty great. I had mixed feelings and it ended up just sitting in my stash barely used. Until Monday.

I felt like doing something a little different and reached for the brightest colour I own. You can see the look I created with it here

The shadow is very soft and easily blendable. It also surprised me with very little fallout. As you can see in Monday's post, the colour is vibrant, just as it is in pan. It's so strong that it will not budge entirely unless you use a proper eye make-up remover. I discovered this after a 12 mile bike ride, and the blue was the only thing left on my face.

As with all Dainty Doll products, I like the sleek and simple packaging. It seems pretty hard wearing, but I can't help but feel that the lid was made to include a mirror. Does anyone feel that way?

As far as I'm aware, Dainty Doll is pretty tricky to get your hands on, so keep your eyes peeled in your local TK Maxx, or even on fragrancedirect.com. They had a few bits last time I had a gander.
I think I paid around the £8 mark for the three items, so if you can grab yourself a bargain, I definitely recommend it.

All in all, I like the overall performance of this shadow, I just wish I could come up with some other ways to wear it. Maybe the summer will bring out some crazy blue trends.

Do you have an Dainty Doll recommendations?

Hey beauties!

Yes, I finally have my mojo back. Since the move I've really struggled to find a new routine, but I am determined to make this work.

I'm focussing this week on blog posts and videos, so if you have any requests or suggestions for either, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Make-up wise, I've really started to enjoying playing around with different styles and colours again. Even though I'm not doing much today, and probably not even leaving the house, I really wanted a use a pop of colour and this bright blue is just perfect! No doubt it will be dripping off of my face within the next couple of hours, it seems we are actually having some sort of Summer?! But if I'm honest, I'd trade a face of make-up for some hot, sunny days anyday.

You Know The Sitch By Now

Hey beauties,

so we all know by now that yesterday was the last day of Google Reader, that's the way you read your followed blogs through blogger, not Google friend connect. So, if you're like me, then you may have already made the switch over to bloglovin'.

I've had a bloglovin' account since the beginning of WhenFlowersFall, but I have to admit that I never really used it a whole lot. Until now.
If, like me, are now using it religiously, then you can make sure you don't miss anything by following me here.

Feel free to leave a comment below with your link. I shall be spending the next week finding some new blogs to read.

Keep your eyes peeled for lots of new posts coming up!

A little while back, I was lucky enough to be invited to an event for the skincare brand Crystal Clear. Unfortunately, due to snow, I was unable to make the event. But, the lovely PR Claire was nice enough to send me over a few products to try out.

Let me just start of by saying that I'm in love with the packaging. I adore the simple, classy white and chrome. The cleanser and Protect and repair are in a plastic bottle, whereas the Intense anti-ageing serum is in a solid, ceramic(?) bottle.

I have given these products a few weeks to really put them to test and they've had no negative effects on my skin.

Deep Cleanse Gel*
The Deep cleanse gel is a soap free formula that's suitable for every skin type. It lightly exfoliates, while dissolving excess grease and removing even the toughest of make-up.
I use the cleanser both morning and night, to deep cleanse my skin. The smallest amount of this gel goes a very long way. To use, you only need one pump, lather in wet hands and apply on the skin.  As a general rule, I avoid using this on my eyes.
Unlike other cleansers I have used before, this one leaves my skin feeling clean but not tight. In fact, my skin feels smooth and soft.
This product sells for £27.00 for 200ml. Link

Repair And Protect*
The repair and protect is a sun lovers dream.
This sunscreen has a whopping SPF40/UVB20. It contains active anti ageing ingredients and absorbs UV rays to help minimise sun damage.
As well as this, it is also a fantastic moisturiser that reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
I have been using this applied before my walks, also after cleansing first thing in the morning. Because this is a super smooth formula, I have found this makes a great base for make-up. I usually apply, let it sink into the skin to about five minutes, then continue applying my make-up for the day.
This product sells for £43.00 for 125ml. Link

Intense Anti-Ageing Serum*
I am not kidding when I say that this product has completely changed my skin.
This super intense moisturiser is a life saver for anyone like me who has to deal with horrid dry patches.
The formula contains proven active peptides and oxygen complex, which helps to repair and restore dry, ageing skin.
The ingredient, Sy-Nake mimics the peptides found in the venom of the Temple Viper, this peptide actively smooths skin and wrinkles in a short period of time, making this a fantastic anti-ageing product.
I've been using this serum after cleansing in the evening. I apply all over my face in an upward motion, while focusing on my problem areas. My dry patches are usually in my T-zone and I also have frown lines. ( I like to call them smile lines, because they only appear when I smile.)
Since using this serum, my skin has been so clear! The dry patches are pretty much gone, and my 'smile lines' aren't as noticeable. I've also noticed a difference in the 'bags' under my eyes. I look a lot less tired and they feel much more plump and healthy looking. I never thought they were much of a problem, but now I have seen a change, I hope they never come back.
I wouldn't normally spend so much on skin care, but I would seriously consider re-purchasing this, just on the fact that it has changed my skin so much. I now find my make-up applies easier, I wake up with healthy looking skin, rather than looking grey and deathly, and as much as I am only 23, I love the anti-ageing properties.
This product sells for £60 for 50ml. Link

Because of these products, I feel I've finally found a routine that works for my skin. I'm always pretty sceptical with trying new things, but I'm so glad I got to try this.
If you have dry skin, I really recommend you try a couple of these items. If you don't, Crystal clear will definitely have something for you.

PicturesHi  my lovelies!
I honestly cannot believe I've been doing this weekly post for twenty weeks already.

I'm going to be completely honest with you guys, this week have been the week from hell.
This week I started my new job, and finished it. I really thought that my anxiety was under control again, but the challenge of going to work proved that it very much isn't. I've had countless, very bad panic attacks, break downs and arguments with Liam.
I don't want to go into it too much, because after all it is a private thing, but Liam and I also became very much to breaking up this week. Fortunately, he is the best and we have now worked our issues out. He's so understanding of everything I struggle with and I honestly don't think anyone else would ever put up with this crap.
I've spent a lot of time on my own this week, trying to clear my head, trying to decide what I want to do with life, and I really haven't been able to come to any conclusion other than blogging. Blogging is the one thing I love, it's my passion and hobby. Until I can finally beat this anxiety over working, I am going to put my all in WFF because I feel like I have been really lazy with it recently. I am going to film a lot more tutorials, and be a lot more consistent also.
The move into the new house is happening some time in the next week or so, so I am currently turning a 15 year old pine cabinet into my new make-up storage. I was planning on buying an alex 6 drawer unit from Ikea, but now that I again have no income, I decided to find a way to save myself the £85. My Muji drawers just aren't cutting it any more and I see to have products coming out of my ears!
On that point, I am going to leave you guys to go about your Sunday. I'm sorry this is such a long post, but I felt like I should fill you all in. I have posted some rather odd and probably depressing twitter statues this week, so for that I am sorry, but I will be OK.

I hope you all had a good week.
Thank you all for your growing support for WFF, it really means the world to me.

Hi my loves!
It's that time of the week again. Time to lust over the things I would love to have in my wardrobe!
Today, I've tried to steer clear of shoes. It was obvious I was getting a little obsessed and I was probably boring everyone with it.
Instead I have chosen 3 jewellery companies and one clothing.

Jewellery
Top left and center - Janies Attic
Bottom left and center - Union Soul
Right Three Images - Kukee
I have a huge obsession for anything with crosses, spikes and skulls at the moment. I honestly think it it something I don't think I'm going to 'grow out of' any time soon either.
I already have a post about both Union Soul and Kukee coming up soon. Fortunately I won a give away with each of them so I can feature them on WFF, but if I ever get the chance to feature more of their items, I would be honoured.
Janies Attic is a store I came across thanks to twitter and I have totally fallen in love with some of the pieces.

ARK clothing
Again, as you can see, I am well and truly obsessed with anything with crosses and studs. I absolutely love these items from ARK and one day I really wish to feature a few items.
I'm hoping that once I move into my new house, the weather will be better, which means I can actually start taking my outfit posts outfit in the garden! Woohoooooo!!

What items are on your wish lists this week?
