Hey beauties,

This week is Smooch week.
I was very, very kindly sent a bundle of products to try, so I figured I would dedicate a week to reviewing said products.
I have given them a good test and I feel this week may come in handy, if you do ever fancy purchasing a few new items.

As well as receiving some fabulous products to try out, I was also very lucky to be sent a couple of beautiful nail polishes!

The shades I received are Candy Coated* , an amazingly beautiful hot pink, and Perfect Parfait*, a coral-ly toned orange. Both shades of which I hadn't already got in my collection.
The polishes retail for £6.50 and follow the matte packaging design.

I've played around with these during the past week. For a good opaque nail, I found I had to apply three coats, which I wouldn't say is unusual.
Both shades have worn well and lasted without chipping for three days.

I very much like these polishes and I would love to pick up a few more shades. Aren't these ones just perfect for the Summer!

If you want to see the large array of colours available, check out the Smooch Cosmetics website.

Believe it or not, ladies. This is my very first Essie polish.
A few websites have been selling Essie super duper cheap recently and I didn't want to miss out. I totally would have bought more, but at the time, my bank account just wouldn't allow it.
I didn't have an orange polish in my collection so this one just jumped out at me!

As with every other blogger that loves Essie, I do too.
This polish was opaque after one coat! Amazing! I did add an extra coat, just out of pure habit, but it didn't need it.
I wore this polish for roughly four days before it started to chip, which for me, is pretty damn good.
I'll definitely be buying more as soon as I can.

Right now, Fragrance direct has a few shades for sale at only £1.99 a bottle, and I will add other links that I come across in the future.

What's your favourite Essie polish?

Another #Leedsbloggermeetup2012 goody, and yet another win from me!

I was super excited to see this in the bottom of my goody bag. I've known about Stargazer for years, mainly their hair dyes, but I didn't know that they did nail polish. In fact, they do everything make-up wise too!

This product is everything you look for in a good nail polish. The shade I received (513) was opaque after just one coat and dried quick. There are a couple of downsides. It chips easily, but if you are an avid nail painter this won't bother you, and it stains your nails, which can be fixed by using a base coat. Simples.

I know this review is short but sweet but there really isn't much else I can say about this product.
It's now one of my all time favourites and I am dying to try more from Stargazer! Some of the make-up products look absolutely amazeballs!

Hi my loves!
I thought it was time to share another little DIY with you.
This time it's the turn of 'how to turn a t-shirt into a tank top'.

1. Make sure to lie your shirt on a flat surface. Line up the seams and cut off the sleeves.
2. To make sure that you don't cut the front too long, put your shirt on and use a pin to mark how low you want it to be. You can also pin how wide you want the straps to be at this point.
3. After taking the shirt off again, cut in a curve from the top of the shoulder, past the strap tip and down to the lowest pin.
4. To make sure the front of your shirt is symmetrical, once you get to the lowest pin, fold over the material and follow that line for the other side.
5. For the back, you only want to cut below the seam of the original seam. If you cut too much lower, you could risk having a very loose, off the shoulder tank top.
6. From this point on, your options are endless. I used some Dylon fabric paint and a handmade cat logo to personalise mine, but you can do absolutely what ever you like to it. I actually it would be great to fringe the bottom for the last step. Just a little bit of festival chic for cheap.

If you do this tutorial, make sure to link me to a picture below! I would love to see what you guys come up with!!

This tutorial is a super super easy one.

All you need is
- a t-shirt/tank top of your choice
- some fabric paint in a colour of your choice

  • Firstly, you need to make sure your shirt is flat and place some newspaper in between the two layers of fabric just to make sure the paint doesn't run through.
  • With a soft leaded pencil or some tailors chalk, mark out your cross design, or if you fancy something different, now is the time to design it.
  • With your fabric paint of choice, you now need to fill in your design. With the Dylon fabric paint I used, you do need quiet a bit before the colour is solid.
  • Once you are happy with the result, leave to dry.
  • Most fabric paints require some kind of heat sealing. I just used my iron on a high heat with a tea towel between the shirt and iron. This prevents any paint getting onto your iron.
  • Usually after this step you can just stick your shirt in a normal wash in the washing machine. If your t-shirt seems stiff where the paint is, this will be corrected after washing.
