A competitor for Benefit's They're Real? Maybe!

If you read my recent post about the Benefit event that I attended on Saturday evening, you will already know that I left, craving to buy They're Real. I hadn't tried it until that night and I fell in love.
The only thing that was putting me off, was the price tag.

February and March seem to be my most expensive months, with a ton of family and friends birthdays, so I was on the look out for something a little cheaper.
I had seen adverts for this new mascara from Maybelline for a couple of weeks, and I even had to stop myself from buying a few days back. But, luckily I have a very nice mummy and she knew how much of a pants weekend I'd had, so she sent me my birthday money early so I could treat myself.

I picked up the non waterproof version of this mascara in Black. I tend to cry a lot (yup, I'm an over emotional goose,) meaning waterproof or not, my eyes always run.

I have been totally blown away by this product. The photos you see below are the result of only one coat of mascara, with no curling prior to application!
It is incredible!
The plastic brush has what I can only describe as tiny 'brissles' in comparison to what I'm used to. I feel that it still picks up plenty of product and distributes it evenly, whilst curling your lashes and giving you tons of volume.

I found it stayed well on my lashes and was easy to remove when it came to the end of the day.

I may have only used this a couple of times so far, but I think I can already say that this is going to be a favourite for the month of February.

You can currently purchase the new Rocket Volum' Mascara from Boots for only £5.99.

My new favourite lipstick everrrrrr!!!
I finally made it to Topshop recently to make a couple of cheeky make-up purchases and this beauty was one of them.
Originally I had picked up Nevada, but I had a slight inkling that it may have made me look a little dead. Never a good look.
The first time I applied this lipstick it lasted a ridiculous 7 hours before it even started to look a little battered. and needed re-applying. During this time I had eaten two meals and drunk numerous drinks.
The 'All about me' shade is a matte formula, but not that kind of matte that dries out your lips. This lipstick is super moisturising and creamy. Even after taking this off at night with my cleanser the colour was still very slightly visible on the edges of my lips.
The beautiful bright blue toned pink is the ideal colour to make your teeth look that little bit whiter and it really adds something to a simple look. Team it with winged eye liner or a neutral lid shade and it looks amazing!
I will most definitely be investing in some more of the Topshop lipsticks. I may even buy Nevada after all. If you have purchased it yourself, please leave a comment below and let me know what you think of it.

Another Harrods Glossybox goody.
I love, love, love this moisturiser, and unfortunately for me, this is the one product from my box that I didn't want to like. A full size 80g product will set you back £127!! Ouchie!
The sample size I received was 15ml, I've been using it twice a day for 4 days now and I've barely made a a dent in it. This cream goes such a long way! It spreads onto your skin very smoothly and soaks in super quick. If applied in the morning, this moisturiser makes your skin feel amazing throughout the whole day.
I have very dry skin and within the first day of use, my dry patches were gone.
This cream is a miracle product for me, but due to the very high price tag, I'm afraid I won't be purchasing it once I have used up my sample. Sadface.
