Sleek I Divine Palette Vintage Romance

When my brother asked me what I wanted to Christmas this year it dawned on me that I hadn't even given it a single thought. Christmas is fast becoming a thing for the children in my family, and now that I'm 23 and expecting my first, I know for a fact that I won't be receiving much from my side. Instead, us adults are now getting little things like chocolate and socks, and the bigger presents are being bought for the kiddos.

I thought I may as well compile a couple of wishlists anyway, that way I can keep track of the things I have my eye on and maybe I can treat myself when I have a few spare pennies.

Beauty wise I'm currently wanting to expand my Real Techniques collection. I currently only own the core collection and the blush brush, and the three sets above would all be welcome in my brush jar. RT are so far my favourite brand of brush and definitely the ones I reach for most.

My other current obsession is perfume. Not that I don't have enough already. But, there are a few that I have had samples for throughout this year and I'd really love to get my hands on a couple of them. The Juicy Couture is one I have hinted at Liam for, as it's just that nice!

Other than that, I've had my eye on a couple of Sleek products. Sleek being a brand I haven't tried much from, and a Z palette. I have a ton of individual eyeshadows that could really do with depotting and this is just perfect.

There is one more thing, the new Urban Decay Naked3 palette. But not knowing exactly when it'll be available (supposedly before xmas), I haven't included it.

What beauty items are at the top of your wish lists at the minute?

Good morning, my lovelies.

One of my resolutions for 2013 is to keep on top of cleaning my make-up brushes. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who finds it a real chore and I tend to put it off all the time!
As I'm trying to get into the routine of cleaning them at least once a week, I figured why not share how I clean them with you.

I usually use a cleanser to clean my brushes. But, depending on the product on the brush, sometimes I find using a clarifying shampoo with help to get the brushes super duper clean.

First I wet the brush I intend to clean, making sure than the water is running down towards the end of the brush, rather than into the ferrule.

I then usually pump my cleaning product into my hand...

...and swirl the brush in my palm to ensure all of the make-up is removed.

Rinsing out the cleaning product is the next step. Again, limiting the amount of water that can get into the ferrule of the brush. Any water that does get into the ferrule can shorten the life of your brush.

Drying off the brush is what I think is one of the most important steps. I usually do this on a dry, clean flannel. Doing this will shorten drying time and help limit water that could get into the ferrule.

My last step is laying all of my clean brushes onto a towel, over an edge. This means the brushes will hold their shape as they dry and you won't end up with brushes that are flat on one side.

Please note, my 'MAC' brushes are in fact a cheap set off of ebay. I bought them under no impressions that they were real MAC. I feel terrible for those who think that they are, because the quality is shocking compared to the real deal. Please be aware of ebay fakes.
