Oh boy, do I look miserable in that photo. Haha! Blame the baby. He's not here yet to defend himself.

Recently, I purchased the Match perfection blush from Rimmel and I admit, I had hoped I would like it more than I do. That being said, it's not all bad.
The blush itself is comprised of three different shades, only one of them being a pink. The other two are more skin toned and peachy. I chose the shade light because I thought I would be a nice day time blush, that wouldn't over power a soft make-up look. Although, I did think that it would give a little more colour to the cheeks than it actually does.
When I first swatched the blush with my finger, mixing the three shades together, I thought it looked great. The only problem is, is that the product is really hard. When you try to pick up the product with a brush, you get very little, meaning you really have to work to achieve any kind of colour.  I find myself swirling the brush in the pan for an age before even trying to apply it to my cheeks.

There are other shades in the line, so I feel maybe a darker shade would be better suited to my skin; and if you are super duper pale, this may work better for you than it does for me. I still reach for it on occasion, but I tend to try and work with the pink shade only. It does look beautiful and soft, but if you are looking for something with more pigmentation, this won't be for you.

I love you Rimmel, but this was a bit of a bust for me. I do want to purchase a darker shade though, so I'll report back when I get my hands on one.

I purchased the Rimmel Match Pefection Blush for £3.25 at Fragrance Direct.
