As a mum to be I'm always on the hunt for great products that I can use when baby arrives.
I was recently sent the travel goodies pack* from miamoo to try out; a company founded by well known apprentice star Saira Khan.
miamoo prides itself on being a very natural company, with its products being free from any harsh ingredients such as parabens, petrochemicals and sulphates, as well as many other skincare baddies.
They recommend to use their products within their simple three step guide; exfoliating wash, moisturise and massage. All of the products are also completely safe for pregnant mothers and babies from birth.
In the travel pack you receive the following-
splashy wash 30ml
fresh locks 30ml
spritz and wipe 30ml
huggy lotion 30ml
cheeky cream 10ml
baba oil 30ml
and a handy flannel

So let's start with step one - Exfoliating wash.
The shampoo is a 97% natural wash for face, body and hair.
Upon testing the product I found it probably wouldn't be a product that I would use myself, but would definitely use for baby. As the shampoo is so natural, the formula is quite runny and as someone with quite long, thick hair, I felt the shampoo was quite hard to work with. As it doesn't lather particularly well, I couldn't get it to work through my hair, but I imagine on a baby with much, much less hair, this infact would not be a problem and would be a great product. Overall, this shampoo smells incredible and cleans without stripping your skin making it dry.
This wash is a fab alternative to the above. Being a product designed for face and body, this product contains many ingredients to help cleanse and moisturise the skin, again leaving it clean, but not stripped and dry.
As with the shampoo this wash is quite a runny formula and doesn't lather so much due to being 97% natural. That being said, I really did like this product, the smell again is incredibly refreshing and my skin felt clean and soft after use. I can, on occasion, suffer from dry skin on my elbows and splashy wash was kind enough not to irritate them, leaving me a very happy camper.
spritz and wipe is probably one of my favourite products from the set.
A product bursting with fresh and fruity ingredients, this can be used in many ways. miamoo claims it can be used as a 'detangler on hair, a cleanser, a toner and a spritz.'
I've mainly been using this on the days I film my youtube videos, and I've found it to be both a great refresher for hot and bothered pregnancy skin, and also a brilliant cleanser for messy or sticky hands.
This makes me think that this would be an awesome addition to any changing bag. It would be perfect to calm and cool a fussy baby in the summer heat, along with being a great alternative to wet wipes when you need to clean and go.
Onto step two - Moisturise
This is another 3 in 1 product which can be used on face, hands and body.
I've been using this lotion on my ever growing baby belly and it's been brilliant in helping sooth my itchy skin. It has kept my skin soft and in the couple of weeks I've been using it, stretch mark free.
The formula is so easy to work with, it isn't thick or greasy and soaks in incredibly quickly.
cheeky cream is a thick barrier cream with can again be applied to face, hands and babies bottom. Now, I don't have a babies bottom to try this out on yet, but I have been using this on the driest patches of my face. As with the huggy lotion this sinks into skin very fast, leaving no residue. I've found it soothes my dry and every so slightly flaky patches quickly and makes for a great base to apply make-up over.
As we have decided to use cloth nappies for our little one, I'll be intrigued to know how this works on babies bum; and if it would affect the absorbency of the nappy. Many well known barrier creams aren't recommended due to the ingredients clogging the fabric and making the nappy less effective. With cheeky cream being 98% natural, I can imagine this would make a great alternative.
And lastly - Massage
baba oil is probably my least favourite item in the pack, but that's most likely down to personal preference and my dislike of any kind of oil. That being said, I did give it a go and tested it out on my belly.
baba oil is the hero product of the company, it's 99.1% natural and is packed with sweet almond, sesame seed, lavender oils and vitamin E. The oil leaves skin soft and smooth.
Unfortuntely, I did find this left me feeling a little greasy; but if applied at night, the results in the morning were fab.

Overall the miamoo travel pack* would make a great buy for any one. Both people with dry skin, and mothers and babies could benefit from these products.
I've already thrown a few of the products into my hospital bag for D day, and would definitely recommend the pack for anyone going off on their jollies in the future.
For me, the stand out product is spritz and wipe, I most definitely want to purchase a full size for the summer months and it'll hold a firm place in my changing bag. As cheeky cream goes quite a long way, I have saved what I have left to try with the cloth nappies, and again will most likely be purchasing a full size if it works like I think it will.
