Great Yarmouth 2014

During my little break from blogging, we went on our first holiday as a family of three, or four if you include the dog. We went away with Liam's parents and stayed in a couple of caravans on the beautiful Caister-on-sea beach. The beaches at both Caister and Great Yarmouth made me really miss living by the sea, I could have quite happily have stayed there forever.
We had a fab time and none of us were totally ready to come home. A week just didn't seem to be enough.

Keep your eyes peeled for today's part two, which features the holiday vlog.

Find me on

Saturday, 31 December 2011

Hi Lovelies!
Yup! I'm being a sheep and writing a lil year round up post. So, so much has happened this year it's unreal! I have learnt so much about myself and others around me also. I honestly feel like I am going into 2012 with a much brighter outlook on life that I did last year. September 2010 a man broke into my house while I was sleeping which triggered the panic attacks and depression which I am still dealing with today. 2011 started off slowly but has bought along so many happy memories with it too. I wanted to share a few of those memories with you guys, also I thought this post would be a nice one to go back and read in the future.
December 25th 2010 (yes I know it wasn't 2011, but it meant alot to me) I got engaged! Most of you guys know that already!!
March 21st was my 21st birthday! I spent the entire day with my best girl shopping in Warrington and eating lunch at the all you can eat Chinese, then in the evening we got a lil bit tipsy dressed up as school kids in Nantwich. What a random night that was!
We also went to Wales to see my family for my birthday week, this was the first time I realised how much of a brilliant dad Liam will make one day. My niece Lily adores him! (Although she doesn't look too pleased in the above photo. Haha)
2011 was the year we discovered Talacre beach. Myself, Leanne and Ben spent so many random days out there, we even made a couple of night trips just for the drive.
At the beginning of August Ben, Leanne and myself got totally lost in Alderly Edge woods, we spent a good 2 hours walking around only to find our selves on the other side of the town, right back at the bottom of the hill. We then spent the next hour walking back up the hill to get to the car in the car park. My old asthmatic lungs did not like this one teeny bit. This photo was taken when we got back to the car, it was somewhat our triumph photo!
August 13th was moving day. Liam had already been in his new job for a month by this point so I had spent that time at home packing boxes. It was so hard to be away from him and have to pack our life away at the same time. It broke my heart to have to leave the job I had been in for the past 3 years, and saying goodbye (or 'see ya laters' as we were calling it) to my best friends was something I thought I would never have to do.
October 9th we welcomed our little bundle of energy into our family. She has grown up so much since that photo was taken, it kinda makes me sad to see her so big now. Although she still very much acts like the mischievous little kitten I fell in love with.
Also in October, I started this blog and I haven't looked back since!! I honestly wish I had started it sooner, but I wouldn't stop for anyone now. I also started my youtube channel at the same time and if you go back and watch my awful first few videos you will see how goofy I looked. Haha.
This sort of bring me to right now. We have just enjoyed our first anniversary of being engaged, and our first Christmas in our own home. I have loved every second of this holiday period, it's been so nice for Liam to have some time off of work.
Hopefully 2012 will be a little less hectic, bring us a tad more good luck and fingers crossed one of my many wishes will be granted.
I hope you all have a fab time celebrating the new year (if you haven't done so already) and make sure to have an extra drink for me, (any excuse for one more right?)

YANKEE CANDLES!
I am so obsessed!! But apparently so is everyone else! Haha.
This is at my local Garden Centre, the shelves are normally jam packed. I went in expecting there to be less there than normal, but I certainly didn't expect this. Quite obviously Yankee's are an ideal Christmas present.
I did manage to salvage a few wax tarts though, which are ideal for my oil burner as I can break them up easily.
I'm currently burning Beach Walk and it smells amazing. It's a fresh scent of sea air with hints of tangerine. I'll be definitely buying some more tarts as they last a lot longer than the oils I used to burn. Fingers crossed next time I pop into the garden centre their range will be fully stocked again, I can only hope that the empty shelves doesn't mean that they are discontinuing the candles.

What are your favourite Yankee scents?
