I want to apologise for those who may be expecting a beauty related post today, but I just couldn't go without posting about my most amazing night out last night.
A friend and I went into Leeds to see We The Kings play at The Cockpit, they were supported by three other bands, one of which seemed to be totally up themselves and their fans weren't much better either. Baring in mind that the room we were in was reasonably small, they were full on moshing. I have to admit, I'm not one to mosh myself and I don't think the younger majority of the audience were either.
I did have a slight moment of panic but I managed to work myself out of it quickly and was able to enjoy the rest of the show. It's nice to see some improvement in myself, considering six months ago I wouldn't have even gone into Leeds at night, let alone go to a gig.
Any who, if you don't know who We The Kings are, you need to check them out! The bassist is youtuber Charles Trippy and I have to admit he's the one who founded my love for the band.
It was their last UK show last night and they are heading back to the US as I type this, but I have no doubt they will be back some time in the near future.
i went to the birmingham show the night before, was don broco one of the supports? if so, there was a load of moshing where i was too, which i hated, it ruined it a bit, but as soon as WTK came on it was brilliant.. major post WTK depression now though!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Don Bronco is the band I felt ruined it a little. Their fans were complete toss pots. WTK were incredible though and I'm totally getting withdrawals right now. Haha.
