Percy And Reed - Totally TLC Hydrating Mask

Hi Lovelies!
I recently purchased Glamour Magazine, mainly because of this months freebie.
The are offering a choice of four Percy and Reed hair products and I chose the Hydrating mask. I chose this above any of the others due to the fact that my hair is being highlighted soon and I want my hair my the best condition it can be before that happens.
My initial thought was that this product was very nicely packaged. The sample size received is 100ml, whereas a full size is 175ml, so you do get a good amount of product! A full size tub will set you back £20 and can be purchased at Selfridges.
The hair mask itself smells amazing and this was another bonus for me.
I followed the instructions on the back of the tube, yet upon drying my hair it felt greasy and a little bit sticky. This is not what I expected from a product that boasts about its ability to 'nourish and strengthen hair, making it soft and more manageable.' I knew that if I didn't rinse my hair well enough this would probably happen, (like it does with a lot of products,) so I made sure to rinse until I could rinse no more. In the shower my hair felt ridiculously clean, but after I couldn't be more disappointed.
I'd like to think that I'd try another Percy and Reed product in the future if the opportunity arose, but I would definitely not spend £20 on this product.
I have quite thick hair so maybe it would be more suited to someone with finer hair, although it doesn't specify a certain type of hair this should be used on.

  1. I found this with the soap and glory mask because I didn't want to waste it I just put the product on and rinsed it out straight away and that seemed to work so maybe give that a go x

  2. I've been meaning to buy a copy of Glamour to give this a try. I would never splash out £20 on a product I've never tried.

  5. I love this hydrating mask. I thought my hair was super soft and glossy afterwards. I do think it is expensive though, but a lovely nice treat. Great post x
